Monochrome Anya, and a late card!

I actualy started this card for the Cupcake challenge which was monochrome but I ended up not getting it finished so I turned it into my dt card for Charisma Cardz where the theme this week is cards for a teenager.
As I said in my last post, I'm trying to use my older stamps/images, so I used an older Anya for my card and made it really girly :)

The butterfly paper is by Papermania, the one under Anya which has crowns on it is the reverse side of a 12x12 sheet by Best Creation Ink. The charm is off a charm bracelet (very cheap one lol) and I thought it went well with the crown paper, but I have covered most of the paper up lol.
The 3 roses at the top are from Janlynn.com, and the ones at the bottom are Primas and a rose by papermania. Ribbon and lace from my stash and Anya was coloured with the usual Promarkers.

I just realised that I didn't post last weeks dt card for Charisma.....ooops!! So here it is now (sorry Carly!)

The challenge was to use die cuts, so I used die cut shapes from Die Cut Dreams to mat my image on.
The sweet image is from Pink Cat Studio and as always was coloured with Promarkers.
Stripy paper is by Craftwork Cards and the pink was one I got with a magazine ages ago.

The ribbon was white but I coloured it with a Promarker and the flower I made using some organza fabric.

I used my heat gun on the edges of the fabric and stuck all the layers together with a brad......easy peasy :)
A few people have asked me before how I made these kind of flowers, so if enough people are interested, I will do a little tutorial. Just leave me a comment if you are interested in me doing a short tutorial so you can see exactly how I made them :)

DigitalTuesday -"Button Up" and a few Whiif Of Joy cards

I've been at home all day today, so decided I would make the most of it and make some cards :)

First of all my Digital Tuesday card. The theme this week is "Button Up" and we are being sponsored by The Stamping Boutique, who also gave the design team some images to play with, one of which I have used on my card.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and also coloured the ticket sentiment which is a freebie digi I have had for ages but can't remember where I got it from..... if I come across where I got it from, I will update this post with a link.
I'm not sure who makes the papers I used on this card........ I do know they are both by the same company but they were both in my scrap box with no names on them.
I made some flowers with the left over scraps and my SU! 5 petal flower punch, little flowers from my stash and the buttons I coloured green with a Promarker but unfortunately you can't realy see the green here.
The swirl/flourish was in my stash and I have no idea where it came from (I think someone sent me it) and the little green button is a 3d sticker which was part of a design but I just cut it out.

I was playing around with some of my older WOJ stamps today and noticed that Katharina is having a guest DT call, so thought I would give it a go. To enter you have to include some rolled flowers on your creation, which I had never tried making before, but they are fun to make and very easy :)

No matter how much times I tried to get a decent pic of this card, it just wasn't happening! So I apologise for the rubish pics. It's really dull here today but hopefully it will be brighter tomorrow and I can get some better pics of these cards!.

As I said, I used one of the older Whiff Of Joy stamps and coloured her with Promarkers. It's not often that I get my older stamps out but I am determined that I am going to give my older ones an airing and this one is so pretty that it would be such a shame not to use her.
The papers are all K&Co, I realy love these papers, but they are sooo hard to photograph!
I coloured the ribbon which was white with a Promarker to match the image and made some of the rolled flowers with the scraps of leftover paper,  cut out some leaves freehand and to finish I added some pearl sprays which I have had for ages but never used because of their colour- they never seemed to match any card I make, but they were just the perfect colour for this one :)

I enjoyed making the rolled flowers so much that I just had to make more :) so I made another WOJ card, this time not so girly.

The papers I have used are by Nitwits, image of course is WOJ and coloured with Promarkers. Some raffia which I bought in Montrose last Summer, a Prima flower and some more of the rolled flowers, this time I made them just with plain brown card. The swirl was from a friend and the string was some that I got from my MIL and coloured with Promarkers (it was just plain white string to start with) and the sentiment is from a Stampology Autum Leaves set.

Right that's it from me today. I have to get going and pick the girls up from school soon, but think I will do some colouring before I have to leave :)

Digital Tuesday- A Magical World

It's Ellie's trun to choose the challenge at Digital Tuesday this week and she chose "It's a magical world".
So we want to see fairies, dragons, unicorns, elves etc this week.
Our sponsor this week is the fab Spesch Stamps and the owner Tracey also offered the design team their choice of image to work with.
I was going to choose one of the sweet fairy images, but I came across Draggy and just couldn't resist it :)

The paper I have used is by Craftwork Cards, image as I said is called Draggy from Spesch Stamps, the rose is from Janlynn.com and all the other embelishments and ribbon is from my stash.
I followed the sketch from the Fussy and Fancy challenge blog, but I couldn't do the scalloped border bit because my Fiskars scalloped border punch has broke and I couldn't find my Stampin Up one, so I used a Stamping Up punch that I have had for ages but only ever used it once before..... think I will use it more often, and the flourish beside the flower was done with a We R Memory Keepers sticky rub on and silver foil.

I can't wait to see all the cards for the "Magical" challenge this week! And if your in need of a magical image then I fully recommend a trip over to Spesch Stamps, they have so much images to work with this challenge and they are all adorable.

Simply Create challenge

I have attempted a circle card today, well yesterday actualy but I finished it today lol. I think I have only ever made one circle card before and it was really pants so probably wasn't the best kind of card for me to attempt for a challenge but never mind.
I wanted to join in with the challenge at Simply Create and I decided I would do something different for a change.
The challenge is to use the colours from the inspiration board below and use a flower and a buttom somewhere on your creation.

Isn't it gorgeous? I think I will make another card using this inspiration board :)

I used one of the older Sugar Nellie stamps and coloured her with Promarkers, then distressed the edges of the card she is stamped on with my scissors and went round the edges with stickles, although you can't see the stickles here.
The papers are by Pink Petticoat which I also distressed the edges of  has the light pink, blue and green in it, so I just had to find some darker pink embelishments so I had all the colours from the board.
The flourish is from a pack by Scrappy Car called Bling Board. This was one of my bargain  buys from Hobbycraft in the January sales, reduced to just 29p per pack, and I got the last pack :) I bought this having no idea what I would do with them but couldn't resist a bargain lol, so I'm glad they came in useful for something.
The larger flowers are from Janlynn.com and the smaller ones are Papermaina..... the small ones look a lot darker in the photos but irl they are more like the colour in the inspiration board.
The tulle is from Hobbycraft and I forgot about the button part of  the challenge and added a little rose on the tulle bow with  the pearl sprays, then remembered I had to use a button, so changed the flower for a button and threaded some dark pink ribbon through it. Oh and I added some little half pearls from my stash as well.

I haven't decorated the inside yet, but will do that tonight once the kids are all in bed, and I might even get another card made :)

That's it from me for now, hopefully I will be back tomorrow with a card that I have made tonight.... that's if the kids go to bed without a carry on!!

Prince Edwin Easel card

Well so much for Spring coming, it's now snowing!! I'm so glad it's the weekend and I don't have to go out anywhere because I hate snow! I think I will just stay in and do some crafting this weekend :)

It was my turn to choose the challenge over at Charisma Cardz this week and I chose Easel Cards.
I coloured Prince Edwin with Promarkers and added some stickles to his crown and the shoe to make it look like Cinderella's glass slipper, and also on all the yellow bits on Edwin. The sentiment is from a Molly Bloom's stamp set, ribbon from my stash and everthing else is by Nitwits which I got with a magazine.
I added glossy accents to the buttons in the middle of the yellow flowers to make them look a bit more realistic. I don't often use paper embelishments but I quite enjoyed usng these ones.

I have took a few pics of this one, so I will let the pics do that talking. Will make a change from me waffling on!! lol

Sorry the pics are not very good, I tried for ages to get some decent pics but it's so dull here and no matter how hard I tried everyone photo I took was rubbish.

I hope lots of you will join in with the challenge this week! I think I will go do some blog hopping and see what everyone has been up to. That's if blogger plays nice and actually lets me leave comments today!!

Digital Tuesday- Welcome Little One

It's time for a new Digital Tuesday challenge and this week the challenge is"Welcome Little One".
I bought a cute baby image a few weeks ago from Pink Gem and I knew it would be perfect for this challenge.

I followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers for this one but got to the circle part and realised that I didn't have a circle die or a punch big enough for that part of the sketch, so I replaced it with a tag. Not sure if I can still enter it now but I will give it a try anyway and apologise in advance to the girls at Friday Sketcher's incase I am not allowed to entrer lol.
The tag and corners I got in a baby die cut sticker pack from a friend (thanks hun), the papers are from the same pad I used the other day- by Andrea Jayne, love the soft pastels in this pad.
Flowers at the bottom are a mix of Papermania and ones from Hobbycraft and the single yellow rose is from Janlynn.com.
I used some pink ribbon from my stash together with some yellow ribbon like stuff from Hobbycraft. It looks like ribbon on the roll but it like the paper ribbon you get for using on presents kwim? Anyway it was really cheap.... about £1.99 for a big roll with 4 different colours on it.
I coloured the cute image with Promarkers as usual and added some glossy accents to the bubbles and the little ducks feet and beak.

Here's the close up of the image where you can see the glossy accents better.

I hope you will join in with the challenge this week. robyn's Fetish is our sponsor and is offering the winner 5 digi images or 4 digi images and a digi paper pack from her store.

Thanks for stopping by today.

A few DT cards

Well it's actually starting to look like Spring today! The sun was out and no rain for a change :)
I forgot to post a card on Thursday. Thought I had scheduled a post, but obviously I hadn't lol, so here is my card for Charisma Cardz where the challenge is "4 Legged Friends".

Sorry about the pic, I took it late and night and was going to try get a better one in the morning to put on my blog, but I forgot (I know there's no hope for me, is there? lol)
I used a digi image from Meljens and coloured with Promarkers and added stickles for some sparkle.
The paper is Bo Bunny (heart strip is the reverse of the main paper I used),some pearls and lace from my stash, little rose from Janlynn.com and I used another Making Memories flourish rub on and added pink glitter this time.
It kinda looks like part of the design of the paper here, but in real life it really sparkles and shows up much better.

You can see the stickles glitter a bit better here but it's still not a very good pic

The next card is one I made for this months By The Cute and Girly challenge which is "Springtime"

I can't remember who makes these papers, but I got the pad free with a magazine. I did just go try to look for it but I can't find it lol, so will add the name when I come across it.
I thought this sweet Tilda was just perfect for the Spring challenge. I don't actually own this stamp, a friend stamped this one for me,  but if I had the stamp I would of stamped it again and 3d' the egg.
Anyway, I coloured her with the usual Promarkers. A mixture of flowers by Prima, Papermania and the yellow rose is from Janlynn.com
I coloured the edge of the white roses with a blue Promarker and also coloured some ribbon from my stash with a pink Promarker. I love that you can colour embellishments with the markers to match the image perfectly.

And here's Tilda's close up

I love these stamps so much but unfortunately don't own many and I only have a few Magnolia images left that I received in a swap so will have to get some more :)

I have had a few emails recently asking me to write down the colours of Promarkers that I have used on my images, but the cards I have to post over the next few days have images on them that I coloured a while ago and can't remember the colours, so I can't give a list, but from now on when I colour an image, I will try to remember to take note of the colours I use and add them to my blog posts.

I will be back tomorrow for Digital Tuesday.
Remember this is the last day of the Digital Tuesday blog hop and your chance to win some fab digi prizes.
I also have a digi stamp of the winners choice from Stamp Fairy to give away on my blog hop post here
This ends tonight (Monday), so you will have to be quick if you haven't yet commented on my blog hop post.

Truly Scrumptious and Just Magnolia

Well it's the end of another weekend, where did it go??!! I have been playing this weekend and got a lot of cards made :)
Here's one I made for Truly Scrumptious where there is a sketch and Just Magnolia where "Anything Goes" with an option to add glitter.

I coloured Tilda with Promarkers and added some stickles for the glitter part. I know it doesn't really show here but it sparkles irl.
The papers are new ones I got the other day, the pad is called "Pampered Pets" by andrea jayne, but none of the papers have anything to do with pets on them lol. You do get 2 die cut notelet sheets which have cats and dogs on them, so that's where the name has came from, but the papers themselves are just pretty patterns.
The flowers are Primas and Roses from Hobbycraft which I also added stickles too, and to add some extra glitter, I used Making Memories glitter swirl rub on.
The sentiment is one I got in a freebie stamp set with a magazine a while ago.

You can maybe see the glitter a little better here on Tilda but it's still not showing up very well on the flowers.... you will just have to trust me that it's there lol.

That's it from me today, I'm off to craft :) Hope you are all having a fab day!
Thanks for stoppin by.

Digital Tuesday 100th challenge blog hop and By The Cute and Girly DT

Welcome to our first ever Digital Tuesday blog hop! We are celebrating our 100th challenge this week with a special "CELEBRATIONS" challenge and lots of prizes.
I am the first stop on the hop, so if you just came to visit and didn't know about the hop, you are in the right place to join in with some fun and a chance to win lots of prizes.

Each DT member is featuring one of our fab sponsors with a prize from that sponsor. To win these prizes, all you have to do is leave a comment on each of the design team members blogs.
There is also a HUGE prize on the challenge blog which in order to win you must enter the challenge as you normaly would (remember you can use any digital element, it doesn't have to be a digital image) and then collect all the "special" letters from the DT blogs and follow the instructions on the Digital Tuesday challenge blog when you reach the end of the hop.
It reallly is a huge prize and I kinda wish that I wasn't on the design team this week because I would love to win it! lol

My sponsor is Stamp Fairy
and the generous owner Gerda gave me one of her sweet digi stamps to use on my sample and also a digi stamp of the winners choice  to give away to one winner who leaves a comment on my blog.
This will run all week along with the challenge and I will announce the winner along with next weeks Digital Tuesday post.

I made 2 samples for the hop but one is also a DT sample for By The Cute and Girly where the new challenge is Spring.
So first up is a card I made with the cute image that Gerda gave me, this one is called Lenny Bee and I just love it:)

I used some old Stamping Up paper and the black one is by Doodlebug. Ribbon from my stash, little white roses by Papermania and the yelkow roses are from Janlynn.com, and the glittery flourish is a sticky rub on by Making Memories from a foil, gliter and flock rub on set. I used the glitter sheet (obviuosly lol) on top of the rub on. You can't see it very well here, but it really sparkles in real life.
I printed Lenny on some coredinations cardstock and coloured with Promarkers, and I really like the texture it has gave him. I also glittered his wings with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

You can see the texture on the image better in the pic below.

I loved this image so much that I just had to use it again:) and I used another Stamp Fairy image along with it to decorate a treat box that I made.
This is also one of my samples for By The Cute and Girly.

I made a lot of these treat boxes at christmas time and filled them up with hot chocolate, mini marshmallows and candy canes, but I didn't have anything to fill this one with lol. Will have to get some little Easter treats and add them later.

I printed the images on my normal paper this time and again coloured with Promarkers.
The paper I used is one by Papermania and I used some purple coredinations for the actual box.
Some ribbon and a flower from my stash to finish, and job done. I didn't want to over embellish this because the images are so cute that I don't think it needs much to embellish, especially when it will be full of treats.....for how long I am not sure though, because I am a chocoholic!! lol

Stamp Fairy has so many cute image in store, you just have to go have a look if you haven't already. If you like cute image, you are gonna love all of he images.

The leter you need from me(well actually mines is not a letter, but the rest of the DT just have one letter for you lol) is 100th
And the next stop on the hop is AMY, who I know will have some fab inspiartion for you.
