2 DT cards in one day.

I have 2 cards to show today, both for different design teams.
The first is for By The Cute and Girly where the challenge theme this month is "Spring Is All Around".
I didn't choose a very springy image for my card (the image was kind of an after thought lol), but I used pretty papers that have a lot of flowers and my usual mountain of flower embellies piled on, so that's Spring enough for me lol.

Excuse the mark on the image! I got some photo glue on it somehow and didn't notice it until after I took the pics! It is gone now though. Just as well it was photo glue and it just rubs off or else I would of had to colour another image.
The photo is blurry too! Not sure what's going on with my camera, but I just couldn't get any decent pics.
Anyway, the pretty papers are Websters Pages, the image is of course a Hanglar & Stanglar coloured with Copics and Promarkers on kraft card. The flowers are mostly Wild Orchid Crafts except the peach rose which I got in Hobby Craft. Both die cuts were made with Nellie Snellen dies and the lace and paper ribbon is from my stash.

See the offending glue mark?!! lol

My other card was a bit of a rush job (actually it was coloured and made in about 20 minutes because I thought I had an image coloued for the challenge, but couldn't find it!). It's for Digital Tuesday where the challenge this week is "Clearly Beautiful"- use a clear element on your card/project.

Our sponsor this week is Stamp Fairy who gave the design team some images to work with, and this is one of them. I have ran out of colouring paper though and had to use some normal card which isn't smooth and just doesn't blend lol. You can see all the patches where it didn't blend, especially on the bears face.
I have ordered some proper paper and will print out and colour a new image and swap it for this one as soon as it arrives! I did order it on Thursday, but it hasn't arrived yet :(
The paper is one I found in my stash, so no idea who makes it.
I did want to use acetate as my clear element but didn't have any, so I had to go looking for other clear bits.
I have a clear button, tied with some American Crafts bakers twine, and the clear bead spray thing.
and also some Inky Dinky Drops from Inky Impressions. Oh and some organza ribbon....well it's kinda see through lol.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having better weather than I am! We have lots of rain and then hailstones yesterday and today it has been dry but sooo cold!

Love Is In The Air

This months challenge theme over at By The Cute and Girly is "Love Is In The Air" and we have some wonderful sponsors as always :) As well as Simon Says Stamp and Joanna Sheen who sponsor us every month, we also have Bugaboo Stamps who very kindly gave the design team an image each to use for the challenge.
I made 2 cards for the first post this month and have made something else for our mid month post which will post on the challenge blog on the 15th, so today I am showing the 2 cards I made.

First up is the one I made with a Bugaboo image. Sorry about the rubbish pic, for some reason my camera just doesn't like taking pics of anything orange or red and it always goes a bit blurry. It's probably just the photographer, not the camera but blaming my camera instead of me taking the blame sounds good lol.
I used a Valentines Critter and sentiment that comes with this image.
The papers are a bit of a mix and I have no idea who makes them, all I know is the the stripy one is the reverse of the one with the hearts.
I used some flowers from my stash (Prima's and some satin ones), some satin ribbon from Little Snippets and just cut the sentiment into a heart shape, freehand because I don't have a heart die or punch and inked the edges.

And here is my second card that I made for the challenge.

I used Hanglar images for this one and some DCWV papers. I had already coloured and cut out the little girl, and then decided that I wanted something for her to sit on, so I just cut out the other image and stuck her on top with foam pads instead of masking and stamping like I normally would.
I used a heart doily and got a bit carried away with colouring bits of it! I thought it might look nice if I went around the edges with a Promarker in the same colour as I used for my image, and got a bit carried away and coloured around some other bits too lol.
I used some Prima flowers from my stash (which I forgot I had because I never ever use the small ones), a little rose, some paper flowers (which are layered with Primas on the bottom flower), some gems, a pearl brad and a Tim Holtz adage ticket.

Unfortunately I didn't have enough Promarkers in this colours to shade properly but I think she doesn't look too bad! Just pretend she is beautifully coloured! lol

Thank for stopping by and I hope you will pop over and check out the challenge blog to see what the other girls have been up to.

A bit of Hanglar and Stanglar and some Bildmalarnas

I haven't posted for a few days because I've been busy getting things ready for my Daughter Rhianna's girly birthday party which was yesterday. She invited her new friends from school and they all had a lovely (but noisy!!) time.

I did make a few challenge cards last week, but forgot to post them....oops, so thought I would just show one today anyway and also one of my By The Cute and Girly DT cards for this month where the theme is "All Things Bright and Beautiful".

I think I made this for Just Magnolia and Hanglar challenge but they have a new one up now, so I had a look around blog land and C.R.A.F.T challenge is looking for cards with children this week, so I am entering it there.

The cute Hanglar girl is coloured with Promarkers and I used some Dazzling Diamonds glitter from SU! on her wings and her bow on her hat.
I'm not sure who makes the papers I used on this card as they were from a friend, but the gorgeous flowers and butterfly are from Little Snippets, aren't they pretty?
Ger has lots of lovely snippets for your cardmaking but they can also be used for so much more. I have a horrible light shade which I think I will transform using some of these lovely "snippets". I will share some pics if I ever get around to doing it lol.
The pretty wire spray was also a gift and the flourishes and decorative border are both Marianne dies. This is the first time I have used the border one because I lost my embossing mat for my cuttlebug and this die embosses as well as cuts, so I haven't ever used it, but I was mounting some stamps the other day and thought I would be able to use some of the mount to use instead of the tan mat to emboss with......it worked perfectly, although I don't think I will be able to use the mount for stamps now, because it now has a pretty embossed pattern on it! lol

Here's the little cuties close up :)

You can see the glitter on her hat and wings better in this one and also the pretty embroidered detail on the Little Snippets flower. Oh and I threaded some ribbon from my stash through the border too.

As I said, the theme over at my monthly challenge blog, By The Cute and Girly is "All Things Bright and Beautiful" and to be honest, I was kinda lazy with this challenge and only made cards because I had just moved house and didn't have much stash to make anything, but at least I made something :)

The top strip of paper on this card looks really wonky, but I promise it's not in real life, don't know what happened with the pics there lol.

Again I have no idea who makes these papers, but they are lovely and glittery, so I thought they would be good for the challenge.
The cute image is a Bildmalarna stamp which I got as a birthyday pressie last year from one of my BTC&G DT girls, Hanna, and I have to confess that I have only used it once before. Not because I don't like it, because I love these cute stamps, but because I lost it and found it again when I moved :) So she will be getting a lot of inking now.
I coloured her as usual with promarkers and used a little bit of glitter.
The gorgeous butterfly and pretty crotchet flowers are again from Little Snippets.
I also followed a sketch for this one but I missed that challenge as well.......I know there is just no hope for me! lol

You can see the glitter on her little bows and on the yellow bits of the flowers.

That's all from me today. I will be back tomorrow with an Inky Impressions Inspiration post on the Inspirational blog, but today I need to make a pile of thank you cards for Rhianna's friends who came to her party yesterday.

Thanks for stopping by

Simon Says Just Magnolia and Hanglar and Stanglar challenges

I had time to play yesterday and make a challenge card :)
I wanted to join in with the challenge at Simon Says Stamp where the challenge is coffee and cream, and as I decided to use a hAnglar and sTanglar image, I checked out the Just Magnolia and hAnglar and sTanglar challenge where there is a fab sketch, so I followed the sketch and used the coffee and cream colours.

Of course the sweet image is a hAnglar one and is coloured with Promarkers and then sponged around the image with antique linen distress ink.
Not sure where the flowery paper came from, I found it is my scrap box, so no idea about that one. The sheet music is from an old Viola music book which I spotted one day in a charity shop window lol. It was white so I inked it with sime antique linen distress ink, and the brown strips are from Papermania.
The ribbon was a light gold colour and didn't quite go with the colours and I couldn't find another ribbon to match, so I inked that with the antique linen ink as well...... that ink pad really got a good work out on this card lol.
The flowers are a mix from my stash. Some were white, so they got inked as well and then I added some stickles to them al for a bit of sparkle and some pearl sprays which I pulled from some other flowers that I have had in my stash for months.

A little close up of the cute image.... I am really loving these hanglars just now :)

You can't really see the sparkle on the flowers but in real life, they are very sparkly.
Oh and the haf pearls round the image were an after thought. I had a bag of them sitting on my desk and was going to do a swirly flourish type thing with them, but thought that might be a bit much, so just added them around the image instead.

Sorry I didn't get round to announcing my followers candy yesterday, I totally forgot about it! So will do that today at some point. Got to go find something to give away for my next candy and take a pic first.
Not sure what it's going to be yet.....hmmmm, how about a set of stamps???
I will see what I come across that I can part with lol.

A little Hanglar cutie for Charisma

The new challenge today at Charisma Cardz is black, white and 1 other colour.
I went for blue/aqua and followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday.

I used a sweet Hanglar and coloured as usual with Promarkers. The black paper is Doodlebug and the other is Magnolia from the "Yummy In My Tummy" collection.
I used some lace from my stash, think the white one was from Hobbycraft but not sure about the black one. The pretty roses are from Janlynn.com and some pearl hearts and half pearls from my stash.

The lighting in this pic is a bit funny, but you can see the flowers and pearl hearts better here.

Hope to see some of you joining in over at Charisma this week!

Thanks for stopping by.

Charisma Cardz- Valentines/Love

It's time for a new challenge over at Charisma Cardz and the lovely Carly has chose the theme of Valentines/Love.
I just had to use another Hanglar sweetie for my card and I done it in red again..... so much for me not liking red then lol.

I coloured the images with my Promarkers abd added some stickles to the heart. The papers I have used were in a wedding kit that I got from a friend a while back (thanks hunnie xx), ribbon and bow are from Hobbycraft and the hearts are from Janlynn.com. Unfortunately the hearts are now disscontinued, but you can find loads of other goodies at Janlynn.

I have to pop out now but I won't be out for long and when I get back I have told the kids to remind me to post my next mini candy!! Honestly I have a brain like a sieve!
Oh and incase you missed my winners post, it's the one below this :)

Digital Tuesday - A sketch

I have been a really bad blogger lately (again!!) and that's after me promising to try post more regularly but things have been a little hectic around here and my mojo had flown right out the window, but I am getting back into it after making my card for Digital Tuesday this week which is a sketch. There's nothing like a good sketch to get Mr Mojo kicked back into shape lol.

Over at Digital Tuesday you no longer have to use a digital image to enter, just as long as something on your creation is digital, so I took full advantage of that and used a sweet Hanglar for my image this week :)

Isn't she a cutie? I paired her with a basket thing?? (wow I have some way with words lol), which is also a hanglar image and coloured them both with promarkers. I am rubbish at colouring with reds but as Valentines Day is fast approaching I thought I should get some practice in!

The papers I think are Papermania, they were in a pad that had fell apart, must of had that one for a long time lol, and some white coredinations cardstock.
The flowers are Primas and roses from Papermania, sentiment was done on the computer and I added a little sticker which my youngest Daughter Chiara gave me yesterday for the heart.
Ribbon is some that was on one of the kids pressies at Christmas time and I used a fiskars punch for the scalloped border.

I just remembered about my followers candy, so I'm away to choose a winner for that and will get a pic of the next prize I will be giving away, so check back later today for that! Hopefully I will have it on here this afternoon.
I know I said I would do it fortnightly but things have been a bit up in the air this last few weeks and I just haven't had as much time as normaly on the computer, so I will make up for that with my next few candy giveaways :)

And finally I have also started to set up my own website selling wedding stationary and also some of my cards and handmade gifts. It is still in the process of being "built", but I will let you know as soon as it is finished.
