2 cards for 4 design teams!

I had 3 design team cards to do for today and also wanted to do one for Little Snippets, so as one was already made for my guest design spot at Anything Goes Challenge, I decided to combine the other three with one card.
I must warn you that this may be a long post as I have a lot  of pics to show! So get ready for a photo overload!! lol

So my first card is for the Anything Goes challenge where I am guest designer this month. This is my last card for them (although I have only done one other because it's a fortnightly challenge lol) and I have had real fun making it.
Thank you girls for having me, I really enjoyed my time as guest dt with you :)
The challenge this fortnight is "A Real Sweetie" - so anything related to food.

I decided to do something a little bit different and made a criss-cross card.

Sorry about the poor photo, the light is just terrible here just now! :(
As I said, I made a criss cross style card, and this is it with the pull out insert panel still in place.
I didn't take a pic of the insert as you can kinda see it here anyway. It's just plain red card (which is a bit shimmery) with the corners rounded and I added a Marianne designs die cut frame so there's room to write on.
I have used a few products on this card that are available to buy at Craft Den, so I will add all the product links at the end.

This is what the card looks like when the insert is removed.
I though these papers would do the job since one has strawberries on it, but then I went and covered up that paper with the insert lol. I don't know who makes the papers though as I got the paper pad free with a magazine a while ago and can't find the front cover.
Tilda and the popcorn box have been cut out, then Tilda stuck on top and stuck on the card only up to where the card crosses over (otherwise you wouldn't be able to take the insert out)

I took this pic at a funny angle so you can see the glitter on Tilda and the Popcorn box, but you still can't see it very well.
I used a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen (Clear Star) on bits of her dress and the bows in her hair and also on the popcorn box. You can't see it here, but I used it on the label and lettering and also around all the white stripes.
I also used some crystal Stickles on her socks. It looks really sparkly in real life, just a pity that it doesn't show in these pics.

Ok, here's what I used.
Mariane Designs Dies from the Frames/Swirls set
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Crystal Stickles
Collall Photo Glue
Woodware 3d foam squares 1mm (for sticking on the image so it was a little bit raised)
Aleene's Original Tacky Glue (to stick on flowers)
All of which are available at Craft Den

I also used Promarkers to colour and Sakura Star Dust Gelly Roll pen. Flowers, ribbon and strawberry charm from my stash.
Magnolia Lollypop Tilda and Magnolia Popcorn Box, which are not currently in stock at Craft Den, but they do have loads of other Magnolia Stamps :)

Wow that was a long post for one card!!
My other card is an easel card, so I do have a few pics to show, but I will try not to chat too much!! lol

It was my turn to post on the Inky Impressions Inspirational Blog today, and this month team Christopher (the team I'm in) are doing easel cards. So I made an easel card with one of the new release Inky Impressions Stamps.
The stamp I have used is called Maddie The Elf. I think she may be my favourite stamp of this release....well my favourite one today anyway, because they are all lovely and I keep changing my mind about which one is my favourite lol.

I'm not sure who the papers are by as they were a gift from a friend :), as was the lace.
The flowers are from Little Snippets Etsy Store, and they are called Lora's White Lace Flowers.....yes, they are named after me :))
They are so pretty and just perfect for Christmas/Winter cards as they have a little snowflake in the centre.
I added some red Inky Dinky Drops in the centre which are from the Christmas Splash pack (red/green) and I also used some White Inky Dinky Drops around the flowers......love how you can see the paper colours through the clear ones. You can find a huge selection of Inky Dinky Drops in the Inky Impressions Store here.
Oh and the holly leave spray I bought in a little craft shop in Montrose.

This card is also for Digital Tuesday where the challenge this week is "Christmas Time", and our sponsor is My Grafico, who gave the design team their Vintage Christmas Labels digital stamp set by Lindsay's Stamp Stuff to use for the challenge.
I have used one of the labels from the set and just coloured in bits of Santa with a red Promarker.

I am entering this card into the following challenges.
Totally Gorjuss- Christmas Traditions
Miami Doodles- Christmas
Crafters Companion- Let It Snow
Stamps & Fun=Creativity- Recipe- design paper, glitter and lace
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long- Never Seen Ink, Holiday Image- This is the first time I have inked up the new Inky Impressions stamp :)
Floweret Stamplar- Christmas Cards
Crimbo Crackers- make it sparkle

Well if you managed to get to the end of this post, you deserve a medal!! lol.
That's it from me for today. Thanks for stopping by, and a huge thank you if you take the time to leave a comment :) I really do love reading them, and I will try my best to return the favour and visit you all:)

Digital Tuesday, By The Cute and Girly and a guest design spot!

This is my second post today. If you are looking for the Inky Impressions blog hop, please scroll down to the next post.

Today is a busy day for me for dt work as I have 4 dt's to post for on the same day! I did combine some of my dt work though because I have been really busy this week with stuff at home, so I only have 2 cards to show, as well as the treat bucket I posted for Inky Impressions earlier today.

First is a card that I made for Digital Tuesday where the challenge this week is "Cute and Cuddly" and also for By The Cute and Girly where the theme this month is "Christmas Girls".

It's a horrible day here today and no matter what I did, I just couldn't get any decent photos. I really need to invest in a lamp to use for these dark days!

I used a sweet image from Di's Downloads who is our digi sponsor this month over at By The Cute and Girly, and as usual, I coloured her with Promarkers and added some diamond stickles to the fur on her hat and jacket.
The papers are from a pad that I won in Brenda's recycling candy :)
I cut the image out and popped her on some scalloped circles cut with nesties and added some snowflakes cut with Marianne Design dies and a Woodware punch.
Oh and the border is also a Marianne die

Here's a close up so you can see the snowflakes (the pattered ones have stickles on them) and also the dimension of the image.

My second card is for a guest design spot at the Anything Goes challenge blog where I will be guest designer all this month :)
The challenge is to use stitching- real or faux and this fortnight I am in the spotlight over on the challenge blog:)

I decided to go a bit vintage with this card and used some K&Co papers which I stitched around by hand (I don't have a sewing machine anymore so had to do it by hand).
I used a few Marianne Design dies on this one which are all available to buy at the Craft Den.

The one in the pic above is the Ribbon Border die (ribbon 3)

And the flourishes and the decorative panel that Tilda is sitting on are from the Frames and Swirls die set.
You also get a smaller swirl in this set but I haven't used it on this card.

I coloured Tilda with Promarkers and added lots of Icicle stickles to her wings and heart. This Tilda is from the 2010 Merry Little Christmas collection. She is called Tilda With Hanging Heart and can be found in the Craft Den store here. Along with loads of other Magnolia stamps.
You can also find the stickles glitter that I used in the Craft Den here. Not only the icicle one that I used on this card, but the diamond stickles I used on my first card above and loads of other colours too :)
If you haven't checked out this store, it is a must see! Loads of yummy goodies and all at really reasonable prices too.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I will be back tomorrow to announce the winner of my $25 gift certificate from MFT, so if you did the By The Cute and Girly blog hop last month, remember to check back to see if you are a winner! :)

Charisma and Inky Impressions DT cards

The new challenge is up over at Charisma Cardz and the challenge this week is "Boy Oh Boy".
If you have been a follower of my blog for a while, you will know that I don't like making male cards and I very rarely make them, but I kinda enjoyed making this one :) I like distressing so it's maybe the fact that I got to distress all the edges lol, but I'm not keen on the way it turned out.....it's just too plain for my liking lol.

I coloured Edwin with my Promarkers as usual, papers are K&Co Hopscotch and I matted with navy blue coredinations...I just love how it distresses :)
I can't remember where I got the raffia ribbon stuff as I have had it for ages, and the only embellishment I used is a Making Memories badge brad which I just poked through a circle of coredinations.

Edwin's close up :)

There is also a new challenge over at the Inky Impressions challenge blog and the challenge this fortnight is "Shine On". the lovely Vicki wants to see shiny bits on your cards this time, whether it's glossy accents, sparkly embellishments, glitter etc, as long as it looks shiny it will do :)

I think I maybe went a bit overboard with the shiny gems!!

I used the sweet Lili's present stamp this time which you can find in the Inky Impressions store, and of course she is coloured with Promarkers.
The papers are from the same pad but I can't for the life of me remember which pad it is! I used a square doily from Poppy's Cabin (click on the banner in my sidebar to get there) and just left the border showing, then I stuck on loads of red shiny gems. It's just as well they come in strips or else I would of been there forever sticking them on lol.
The flowers are ones from Janlynn.com and I have dipped them in dazzling diamonds glitter.

And finally Lili's close up. Sorry about the quality of the pics, I really must get my DT cards made well in advance so I don't need to take pics the night before when there's no light!!

You have 2 weeks to get your entries in and there's a chance to win a goodie bag, so why not hop over amd enter the challenge and see the rest of the design teams cards :)

Thanks for stopping by today

Prince Edwin Easel card

Well so much for Spring coming, it's now snowing!! I'm so glad it's the weekend and I don't have to go out anywhere because I hate snow! I think I will just stay in and do some crafting this weekend :)

It was my turn to choose the challenge over at Charisma Cardz this week and I chose Easel Cards.
I coloured Prince Edwin with Promarkers and added some stickles to his crown and the shoe to make it look like Cinderella's glass slipper, and also on all the yellow bits on Edwin. The sentiment is from a Molly Bloom's stamp set, ribbon from my stash and everthing else is by Nitwits which I got with a magazine.
I added glossy accents to the buttons in the middle of the yellow flowers to make them look a bit more realistic. I don't often use paper embelishments but I quite enjoyed usng these ones.

I have took a few pics of this one, so I will let the pics do that talking. Will make a change from me waffling on!! lol

Sorry the pics are not very good, I tried for ages to get some decent pics but it's so dull here and no matter how hard I tried everyone photo I took was rubbish.

I hope lots of you will join in with the challenge this week! I think I will go do some blog hopping and see what everyone has been up to. That's if blogger plays nice and actually lets me leave comments today!!

Thanks for stopping by

A few DT cards

Well it's actually starting to look like Spring today! The sun was out and no rain for a change :)
I forgot to post a card on Thursday. Thought I had scheduled a post, but obviously I hadn't lol, so here is my card for Charisma Cardz where the challenge is "4 Legged Friends".

Sorry about the pic, I took it late and night and was going to try get a better one in the morning to put on my blog, but I forgot (I know there's no hope for me, is there? lol)
I used a digi image from Meljens and coloured with Promarkers and added stickles for some sparkle.
The paper is Bo Bunny (heart strip is the reverse of the main paper I used),some pearls and lace from my stash, little rose from Janlynn.com and I used another Making Memories flourish rub on and added pink glitter this time.
It kinda looks like part of the design of the paper here, but in real life it really sparkles and shows up much better.

You can see the stickles glitter a bit better here but it's still not a very good pic

The next card is one I made for this months By The Cute and Girly challenge which is "Springtime"

I can't remember who makes these papers, but I got the pad free with a magazine. I did just go try to look for it but I can't find it lol, so will add the name when I come across it.
I thought this sweet Tilda was just perfect for the Spring challenge. I don't actually own this stamp, a friend stamped this one for me,  but if I had the stamp I would of stamped it again and 3d' the egg.
Anyway, I coloured her with the usual Promarkers. A mixture of flowers by Prima, Papermania and the yellow rose is from Janlynn.com
I coloured the edge of the white roses with a blue Promarker and also coloured some ribbon from my stash with a pink Promarker. I love that you can colour embellishments with the markers to match the image perfectly.

And here's Tilda's close up

I love these stamps so much but unfortunately don't own many and I only have a few Magnolia images left that I received in a swap so will have to get some more :)

I have had a few emails recently asking me to write down the colours of Promarkers that I have used on my images, but the cards I have to post over the next few days have images on them that I coloured a while ago and can't remember the colours, so I can't give a list, but from now on when I colour an image, I will try to remember to take note of the colours I use and add them to my blog posts.

I will be back tomorrow for Digital Tuesday.
Remember this is the last day of the Digital Tuesday blog hop and your chance to win some fab digi prizes.
I also have a digi stamp of the winners choice from Stamp Fairy to give away on my blog hop post here
This ends tonight (Monday), so you will have to be quick if you haven't yet commented on my blog hop post.

 Thanks for stopping by

Truly Scrumptious and Just Magnolia

Well it's the end of another weekend, where did it go??!! I have been playing this weekend and got a lot of cards made :)
Here's one I made for Truly Scrumptious where there is a sketch and Just Magnolia where "Anything Goes" with an option to add glitter.

I coloured Tilda with Promarkers and added some stickles for the glitter part. I know it doesn't really show here but it sparkles irl.
The papers are new ones I got the other day, the pad is called "Pampered Pets" by andrea jayne, but none of the papers have anything to do with pets on them lol. You do get 2 die cut notelet sheets which have cats and dogs on them, so that's where the name has came from, but the papers themselves are just pretty patterns.
The flowers are Primas and Roses from Hobbycraft which I also added stickles too, and to add some extra glitter, I used Making Memories glitter swirl rub on.
The sentiment is one I got in a freebie stamp set with a magazine a while ago.

You can maybe see the glitter a little better here on Tilda but it's still not showing up very well on the flowers.... you will just have to trust me that it's there lol.

That's it from me today, I'm off to craft :) Hope you are all having a fab day!
Thanks for stoppin by.

Charisma Cards Pearls and Lace

I can't belive it's the 23rd already, where did the month go? In fact where did the whole year go???!!!
My kids are super excited about Christmas but I haven't even got half of their pressies yet, so I'm off into town today to do some shopping. I hate shopping at this time of the year, you just can't get moved in the shops and people just push past you...grrrr, but it hasto be done I suppose.

The challenge at Charisma Cardz this week is running for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year so you have more time to get your entries in and it's was my turn to chose the challenge.
So I chose Pearls and Lace. I know I am so predictable lol, but it makes a nice change from Christmas cards!

I didn't have much time to make my card this week, infact I made it last night in a rush but I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

I used a Tilda image that a friend sent me months ago which I coloured with Promarkers. I only had one of them but I really want the stamp because this one reminds me so much of my Daughter Rhianna.
The spotty and flowery papers are from the same double sided sheet and is by My Minds Eye and I foun the other paper in my stash and thought it would go perfect with the image since it has tutu's on it, but I kinda covered most of it up lol. I think it is a Karen Foster design.
Everything else was found in my stash, except the pretty pin which I got a while ago from a lovely blogging friend.
I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday, so I am entering my card there.

Right I'd better get off of this computer and get some shopping done! I should be back tomorrow with a card but just incase that doesn't go to plan, I wish you all a Merry Christmas! Hope you all have a fab time :)
Oh and remember my followers mini candy, which is all explained in this post here, but basically all you have to do is leave some comments on any post from now until the candy is drawn and as long as you have left 2 or more comments in that 2 week period and you are on my followers list, you will be entered into the draw, oh and every comment you leave gives you an extra entry :)

Thanks for stopping  by.

Pastel Vintage Tilda?

After I made the vintage Tilda card the other day, I was speaking to Lisa Jane who is on the DT for Moving Along With The Times and she told me the challenge over there this week is pastel vintage, so I thought I would give it a go. They also have a sketch to follow so I used that, except I didn't want to put a sentiment where they had a small rectangle as I don't know what I will use this card for so I am hoping that my pearl swirl in it's place with be ok.
I normaly go for darker colours when I attempt vintage so this really was a challenge for me!
I used some peachy/pinky coloured papers and I already had a Tilda coloured in that I done a while ago so I used her, but I had used brown on her so as it's supposed ot be pastels, I'm not sure if I will get away with that? The papers are all a light pastel colour though :)

I think the papers I used are papermania, but I'm not 100% sure. They are from a pad that I have had for a while but it was split in half and I can't find the other half that has the front cover on to find out who makes it lol.
I distressed all the edges and lightly inked them with antique linen distress ink.
I can't remember what I coloured Tilda with as it was a while ago that I coloured her, but I think it might of been a mic of Copics and Promarkers as I had only just started using Promarkers then and didn't have much colors.

The flowers are made from the Paper Roses and Leaves Template Set from Fred She Said.
These are great  if you are like me and don't have a flower or leaf dies or punches as you just print and cut. You also get a different flower and a different leaf shape with stalks too so you can mix and match.
I do have a couple of flower punches but they are no good for making roses and I have no leaf ones so this set is just perfect for me.

I used some of the same paper I used for the middle strip on my card and just printed some flowers on the back of it then cut them out and layered them up.
I didn't really go for a rose type flower because it fitted my card better this way, instead I just curled the petals a little and added a small pearl in the middle. I also added some frosted lace stickles all over the petals (I just rubbed some over them with my finger, no fancy tools here lol).
For the leaves I just printed them straight onto normal card and coloured them with promarkers.

The lace is from a local shop, small roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls from Ebay and I found the little metal fan in my stash.

I don't know if this is very vintage but it's about the closest I am going to get using light colours lol.
I could of printed out a vintage image but my printer ink is running really low and I really wanted to use this Tilda because she is one of my favourites :)

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back later with my card for Digital Tuesday which I am late with!
I was supposed to make it yesterday but I ended up out all day with the kids and didn't get back till late after dropping them off in Stonehaven with their Nana so didn't have time to get it done.....sorry Ellie!

I love to read your comments so please leave one to let me know you have came by and I will return the visit :)

Just Magnolia

I just remembered that I had a card to post for this weeks Just Magnolia challenge that I made on Friday after the challenge was posted! Oh well at least I am still on time :)
It's another fab sketch this week so of course me loving sketches, I just had to play along.

I had to scan this one and you can hardly see the acetate snowflakes but just look for the brads and you can imagine what it looks like irl lol.
I have no idea who makes this paper but I got a 12x12 sheet of it at my local craft store for 49p!! Think they must of made a mistake with the price because I have never bought a 12x12 from there that has cost me under £1. It's a thick quality paper too so if I go back to get more, they will probably be doubled in price.
I've had this image coloured for ages but have never used it because the ink has run a bit as it was stamped in stazon and I used Copics to colour but it doesn't look as bad as it does in this pic, think the scanner has just made it blurry. Anyway I used it and it's stopping right where it is.
I used one of the Nestie shapes Heather cut for me (I so need to get more nesties of my own!) but I only had the one size so , I traced around it onto a piece of card with a quickie glue pen and covered it in sparkly embossing powder and heated, then cut the label shape out using the embossing as a guide, and there you go, a home made embossed label shaped mat :)
The big snowflakes are just some old stickers I had and I stuck them onto card abnd cut them out so I didn't need to stick down the edges. There is acetate snowflakes on top of them and also some on their own and I covered them with Twinklets (Bev my addiction to Twinklets is all your fault!!!) and added a snowflake charm. I used a strip of holographic kind of paper and put some sparkly lace from my stash on top. I think the sentiment is a Dovecraft stamp. It was one I got last year in the £1 bin at my local craft shop.
I wish the twinklets showed up better because they really are pretty, although I found them a nightmare to stick on. Well not stick on but getting them to stay on. Any suggestions?
That's it from my tonight. I think I will be off to bed in a bit because Chiara fell asleep ages ago. At last a normal sleeping routine for both me and her :)

Thanks for stopping by. Remember my candy from Janlynn if you haven't entered already:)

Finally my card for Just Magnolia

I made my card for this weeks Just Magnolia challenge on Friday just after the new challenge was announced, but have been waiting the whole week to get a pic of it because it has been pouring of rain here. I couldn't just scan it because I used some big flowers and they would of just got squashed. So yesterday the sun was out and I got the card and went outside to take a pic only to discover that my camera didn't want to work! All I could see through it was a real blurry image of my card and a big black dot in the middle of the screen! So I gave up and thought I will just have to borrow a camera from a friend to take my DT pics and would never get this card on in time for the challenge, but this morning I turned on the camera expecting it to be the same but it was working perfectly, and it wasn't raining so I managed to take a pic after all :)
The challenge ends at 10pm tonight so I've just made it :)

I got thsi image from my blogging buddy Lorraine and coloured her with my usual Copics. The sentiment is from a Joanna Sheen Messy Rabbit set . The label mats that I stamped the sentiment and stuck Tilda on were given to me by Heather. I don't have these nesties but I want this ones soooo much. I used some distress ink around the edge of the large one and all over my sentiment. I also scrunched up the sentiment label to give it a more distressed look but it doesn't show too well here.
All the paper I used are from Stampin Up! as is the ribbon. I used a fiskars border punch for the scallops. Flowers are all from Tabby crafts except the little pink roses which I bought at the Works and the branches are from a Mcgill punch. Oh and teh gorgeous pin is from Tabby Crfats too. I am in love with these pins and large roses, aren't they pretty?

Here's a close up of that lovely flowers and Tilda.

Right i'd better get off and post this on the challenge blog before I am too late lol.
Thanks for stopping by

Lora x
p.s If you haven't entered my candy draw yet, you still have time. It ends on Saturday and I have more goodies to add to the ones in the pic. Didn't want to push my luck with the camera today since it was playing ok for a change lol.
