A bit of Magnolia and La-La Land :)

I have a couple of dt cards to share today. Starting with my card for the challenge at By The Cute and Girly where the challenge this month is "Favourite Things".
I was going to use an image from Bugaboo Stamps who is one of our sponsors this month (the other sponsor is Lili of the Valley), but I ran out of paper to print on, so I had to use something I've been using up images that I had previously stamped/printed.
Bugaboo Stamps are offering one winner digital images (winners choice) and Lili Of The Valley are offering a £10 gift certificate.

I didn't have much of a choice of pre stamped or printed images, so I chose this Tilda and coloured her up with Copics. Not sure what occasion this card would be for though lol.
I couldn't decide on one or two favourite things to use, so I used loads! haha
So my favourites are, lace, flowers, pearls, and of course my favourite things is Copics :)

The checked paper is from a little craft shop that prints their own papers, the music paper is from an old sheet music book and the crown one I think is Raspberry Road.
I can't remember where I got the gorgeous lace from, but I love it:) Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and I attacked them all with stickles lol, pearl heart thing is from Hobbycraft, pink trim I got in a pack from Poundland! and the pretty crochet flower is from Little Snippets Etsy store.

A close up of the lovely crochet flowers from Geraldine at Little Snippets, just because I love em :)
I added a button and threaded through a scrap of lace.

My other card is for Digital Tuesday where the challenge this week is "Frame It", and I really didn't want to post it because I hate my colouring on this card (which is why I am posting it today instead of Tuesday when I should of posted it!)
I used Copics and the dark brown colours went all waxy and streaky :( and I didn't have time to start over again, or another image to colour anyway. The rest of the image is ok, but the hair is horrible! Just skip over her head! lol

I do love this image though :) It's from La-La Lan Crafts. I cut her out and stuck her onto a frame digi image which is from our sponsor this week- My Grafico. It's from the Delicate Frames digital stamp set by Lil Ellaboudy Design I'm just glad that I printed the frame out before I ran out of paper! I wanted to add little pearls to the dots on the frame, but I couldn't find any. I know I have but they have vanished....probably some little hands have taken them....aka my Daughter!! lol
So I added some stickles instead.
The papers are by Prima, flowers which again are stickled are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the pretty butterfly I got from The Works and I used a little piece of stringed pearls beside the flowers. They pearls were white but I wanted them blue, so I just coloured them with one of the Copics that I used to colour the image so it would match perfectly.....don't ya just love markers :)
Oh forgot to say that the prize this week is any digital set from My Grafico (no price limitation,  so the set the winner chooses could be worth up to $20!).

Thanks so much for stopping by and for any comments that you leave.
I have been rubbish at blogging lately, but I will be on a mission this weekend to visit everyone who has left me comments :)

A Boy and a handbag!!

The theme over at By The Cute and Girly this month is Boys/Men, and can you believe that is was me who chose the theme!!? lol. I hardly ever make male cards and always go for girly stuff, but I did enjoy making this one :)

Sorry about the blurry pic. I took this when both my hands were really numb and I couldn't hold the camera still very well! lol
I can't remember who makes the papers but I will check later and it it to the post. They are double sided 12x12's. The black/white paper is the back of the leaf paper and the other 2 are the back and front of another sheet.
I coloured Edwin with Copics and Promarkers (the trousers are a mix of the two and everything else is done with Copics), then cut him out and mounted him on die cuts made with a Nellie Snellen die.
He was stamped on Cryogen white paper. This was the first time I had even coloured on this paper and I have to say that I love it! It's nice to colour on and I love the sparkle too :)
It's just a pity that it's so difficult to get here or else I would use it a lot more.
I finished the card off with some buttons threaded with bakers twine and some ribbon from my stash.

And a close up of Edwin.
I have to say that I'm quite happy with my colouring on this one:) Not my best colouring, but my hand was really numb when I did this, so I was quite happy that I didn't really muck it up! Although you can't see all the times I went over the lines on the outside of the image because I cut it out!! lol

So now for the handbag part of my post.
Of course it's not a boy with a handbag like my title may suggest.....that would just be weird! lol
It's a handbag card that I made for the shaped card challenge at Digital Tuesday a few weeks back, but never got to post it here because I had no internet access.
I was just lucky that I had uploaded it to the Digital Tuesday dt blog before my internet was cut off, so it did make the post over there.

I didn't actually make the bag, I got it in a pack of shaped cards which also had stars and flowers and I just decorated it.
The paper I used is by Teddy Bo and was a freebie in a magazine. The image is from the Stamp Fairy who was our sponsor at Digital Tuesday the week of this challenge. This one is one of the Molly Throughout The Year images .
The image is mounted onto die cuts by Nellie Snellen and the other die cut (which I threaded the ribbon through) is from the same set.
I added some ribbons from my stash and a couple of charms which I attached with some funky fibre so that it would hang down (kinda like charms you get on bags).
I gave this to my Daughter for her birthday which was on the 10th from her big Brother and I added the sentiment "Sister's make life more fun" onto the blank ribbon slider panel, but forgot to take a pic afterwards.

I also decorated the inside with some papers (from the same set), but wanted to keep it nice and simple so didn't add anything else to it.

A close up of the charms which were a gift from my friend Geraldine :)

And finally a pic of the back, which I just left plain, to show you how it closes.

The challenge this week at Digital Tuesday is "Things With Wings" which I unfortunately couldn't get a card made for.
The challenge runs until tomorrow night (Monday) so if you haven't already entered, why not pop over and give it a go?
I'm sure you all have an image with wings and we have a digital stamp set of the winners choice from My Grafico up for grabs and also 20% discount off an order in the My Grafico store for one lucky winner!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and thank you for you lovely comments left while I was offline for a few weeks :)

Tilda for a few challenges

I got time to make a card tonight that fits some challenges.
I already had a Tilda image coloured, and found a sketch at Magnolia licious, and this is what I came up with.

Sorry about the pic, it's dark here now so couldn't get a decent one and I wanted to get it posted tonight or else I would forget by morning!!
I coloured Tilda with the usual Promarkers then covered most of her with Dazzling Diamonds glitter by Stampin Up, and added some Glossy Assents to the bubbles and also on her bikini top :)
The papers are My Minds Eye, roses are from Janlynn.com, and the other flower is from a pack I bought in WHSmith but I don't know who makes them...they come with the brads in the centre already though, some are pearls and some gem brads, all very pretty :)
The flourishes are done with a Marianne die, doiliy from Poppy's Cabin and I also bought the border strip from there as I don't have that Martha Stewart punch...yet! Some ribbons, a little heart button and a butterfly from my stash.

I also managed to find a few other challenges that my card fits :)
Just Magnolia- buttons, bows and bling....I think I maybe went overboard with the bling part!! lol
Magnolia Stamp Lovers- Flowers

A silly upside down angled photo so you can see the dimension of the pretty butterfly :)

I'd better go link up to these challenges now!

Some Girly cards and some news

I have to warn you that this is going to be a long post, so you might want to get comfy before you start reading!

It's my turn to host the challenge over at By The Cute and Girly  so I thought I would use our name for this months challenge theme and go with "Cute and Girly".

I made 2 cards this month and my first one is made with a digi stamp set from one of our sponsors this month, My Grafico, who very kindly gave  the design team one of their digi stamp sets to use but I forgot which set we got and used the wrong one lol.... oh well, at least I used a set from the same designer ;)

All the images/elements I have used are from Zenware Designs Slumber Party/Sleepover set from My Grafico.
All the images were printed seperately and cut out then I made the little "scene", but if I had thought about it, I would of combined them in a graphics program and then printed them instead of having to cut them all out individualy because that phone wire was a nitemare to cut out!! lol
I coloured everything with Promarkers, the papers are Papermania, flowers are all Prima's and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

My other card was made a while ago and I can't remember what papers I used but the image is one of Meljens.

The flowers are Prima's and Papermania roses and the leaves are ones I just cut from green card, and the lace is some from my stash that I have had for ages.

I have one more card to show which is my DT card for Charisma Cardz which I forgot to post!!
The challenge this week is Bling and Sparkles.

As usual I coloured the sweet Tilda with Promarkers and added stickles to her wings for some sparkle.
The papers are craftwork cards and.........actually I am not sure who makes the lacy patterened paper, sorry.
I followed the sketch at Friday sketchers but as I am late in posting my card, the challenge is finished lol.
The circle sentiment is a digi from Pink Gem which I got in a decoupage set that I bought. I don't do decoupage but I bought the set just for the 2 sentiments lol.
The lace I bought last week from a local haberdashery and the flowers I made myself.

A close up of sweet baby Tilda and her sparkly wings :)

And I promise this is the last pic! I made the flowers with tissue paper and paper doilies and the sparkly gem brad is American Crafts.
I know I said I would do a tutorial on the last flowers I made (the ones with the fabric), but I just haven't had time to this week. I will get some sort of tutorial put together this week though now that the kids are off school on their Easter holidays.

Finally (I promise this really is the last thing!! lol), I have to tell you all that I was chosen as a DT member for Inky Impressions!! Their stamps are sooo cute and I can't wait to use them! :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas at Charisma

Over at Charisma Cardz challenge this week teh challenge is "With Love At Christmas" and the girls have made some gorgeous cards!
I haven't made much Christmas cards yet this year, so I had fun getting out my glitter and snowflakes for this one :)

Unfortunately this scan doesn't show all the glitter very well and the colours look a bit washed out, but it looks really sparkly irl.
The bottom paper is DCWV and the other one is Stampin Up! as is the borders I used. It is actually 2 border stickers but I just stuck one on top of the other to make it one wider border.
Tilda is coloured with Promarkers and I added some stickles to the bottom edge of her dress and her hairband but you can't see it in this pic.
I really like this Tilda but I don't own the stamp :( A friend stamped me some Magnolia images a while back but I only have one or two left and none of them are Christmas ones so think this will be the last Christmas Tilda card from me unless I can  convince Barry that I need to buy some lol.

The small snowflakes were done with a woodware punch, then covered in stickles and a gem added in the middle, and the large one was cut with a Sizzix die from some mountboard, then covered with SU! Dazzling Diamonds glitter, it looks really pretty irl :)
Oh and the sentiment is from a Hot Off The Press clear stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please leave me a comment to let me know you have been :)

One for Just Magnolia

My second post tonight!! wow it takes me all week to post once then I do 2 in a night lol.
I was looking at some of the challenges and just realised that I didn't post my card that I made the other day for Just Magnolia so thought I'd  better hurry up and get it posted!

I coloured this image a while ago when I first got my Polychromos pencils and it was sitting on the top of my coloured image box so thought it was about time I used her.
I really like this image, there's just something about her that makes it a bit different from the rest of the Tilda's. I don't know what it is though........... anyway I like her so I used her :)

The pic looks a bit washed out here cmpared to what it is like irl but it is night time so I can't complain that much, at least my camera is working again!
The paper is by Papermania, it was a double sided 12x12 and I used both sides. Ribbon is SU!, roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little yellow ones are some I found in my stash and I have no idea where I bough them.... think they might have been from a huge lot of flowers I got ages ago off Ebay.
The pretty butterfly is one that one of my dt ladies (Geraldine) at By The Cute and Girly sent me for my birthday. They are so pretty that I didn't want to use them lol and told her that I would keep them for special cards, but Geraldine told me that I should just use them because there is no sense in keeping things for "best" because we might be dead and gone before the time for using our best comes.
And it kind of got me thinking about all the other stuff I hoard to use on special cards or don't use because I only have one of those left etc. I hope there is still a good few years left in me yet though lol, but you know what I mean.
So anyway I used one and I am going to be brave and use some of the papers I have kept for ages because I didn't want to cut them or the embelishments that cost me that little bit more and I only have a few of left etc. I may cry while I am using them but I will do it lol.

I have some dt stuff to do tonight because I forgot about my project for the FSS challenge which is on the 25th so I'd better get something made while I have some spare time.
