Digital Tuesday challenge 13 -Summertime

Good morning ladies and men if any are reading today. It's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge, and this week Michelle has set the challenge of Summertime. Make a card or whatever else you fancy making with a Summertime theme. As always you can use any digi images you want and our sponsor this week is Dustin Pike who is giving the winner 3 of his fab images.
The girls have done a great job with their samples as always and gave us so much inspiration, you have to go check the out at the challenge blog.
Here's my card for this week, hope you like it.

I have used one of the new images from Squigglefly. I thought this one was perfect for the Summertime theme and so cute too. The papers are DCWV and the flowers are punched with my Dovecraft punch and the larger ones are handcut. Not much else to say about this one, everything else is from my stash.
I am also entering this card into the Chrisma Cardz challenge as they don't have a theme this week, you can do whatever you like. Did I tell you I was going to be guest designer for them on Thursday and next Thursday too? Think I did but I'm telling you again anyway lol.
Also tomorrow is the start of the Squigglefly blog hop and your chacne to win some of these images. I may also have something small on my blog to give away tomorrow but you will have to check back then to see.
It's gonna be all go tomorrow, I have lots of cards to show you then, for the Squigglefly blog hop and also my first ever DT card for the new Little Yellow Company's challenge, and I have made it with someone who visits my blog in mind....can you guess who ?
Check back tomorrow to find out.
I might be back later with a card but not sure if I will have time to make one yet.
Oh and before I go I wanted to tell you that my Son Liam has updated his blog with a new card . He has even entered it into 3 challenges and made a good job of it too :) Can you see how proud I am lol. Please pop over and visit him if you have a minute, it really does make his day when people visit and leave him comments.

Hanglar for Sketch Saturday

Well I moaned about the rain this morning but I spoke to soon because it is a lovely day here. The sun is shining and it's hot hot hot.
I made a card this afternoon while the kids were at school for Sketch Saturday. I did follow the sketch but my image and a few bits are a different shape from the ones in the sketch so I could fit my image in. What do you think of this one?
I really like this colour combo think you might see a few cards from me using this colours.
Sadly I don't own this gorgeous stamp, a friend sent me some Hanglar images. this is one of my favourites, don't know why, the rest are gorgeous too but there just something about this little cutie that I really like. My papers are a mix this time, pink one is Papermania, stripey one and the one I used for matting is DCWV and the blue flowery one is from a scrapbook set I got in the £1 shop. I have punched some flowers from the scraps I had left with my new Stampin Up punch and my Dovecraft one that I got last week, these have been used so much since I got them. Think I wilol have to get some more. I really want the retro flower punches but can't get them just now :( The small flowers are all Primas from Aries Crafts. The sentiment is from Stampin Up and everything else from my stash. Hope you like it :)
Now before I go I want to tell you that there is only 2 days left of the sale at Aries Crafts. All Whipper Snapper and Stamps Happen stamps have 10% off so you better be quick if you want some. They also have some new decoupage sheets in stock as well as new backing paper stacks and stickers, all of cute animals. Also Jolly Nation Shrinkles are coming soon. remember you will also get free delivery if you are in the UK for every order. So what you waiting for, go check them out and fill up your baskets. I will give you an update as new stock arrives too. I know that I for one will be visiting there this week for Prima flowers as they are a great price and they have a great selection too and of course I will have to check out all the new stock ;)
When you order, if you could tell them that you heard about Aries Crafts on my blog then that would be great. As I have said before, I don't get anything for you saying that but it's just nice to let them know that I am spreading the word of their fab store.

Cut Daisy May and Squigglefly DT cards

Well it is pouring of rain here this morning, so much for the nice Summer weather we were supposed to get!
Suppose that means more crafty time for me though, so it's all good. Except having to walk 3 trips to school in the pouring rain, that's not so good.
Cute Daisy May has a fab prize this week donated by Jill at the Hobby House, loads and I do mean loads of luch K&Co papers! You don't even have to follow a skecth or a theme, use certain colours.....nothing, just make it as you like it, easy as that. We would love to see you using the Cute Daisy May downloads but if you don't have any you can still join in and use whatever you have, digi's or rubber stamps it don't matter, we just want you to join us and have some fun :)
Here's my card for this weeks challenge, although it's not really a challenge now is it lol.

I have used Daisy having a tea party with her toys, isn't she just the cutest? and Linnie has been really busy doodling and has loads of new sheets, not just Daisy's but Fairies and animals too. You gotta check them out.
All the papers I have used on this one are from K&Co and I used my Fiskars border punch to make the borders. Flowers are a mix of punched and ones from my stash and pearls are Kanban, everything else from my stash.

Now I did say I had a Squigglefly card to show you , but I kinds lied because it's not a card this time. Rhonda has set the challenge this week to make an ATC.
I have never ever made an ATC before so had no idea where I was going with this , but I just bought a lovely Angel/Bride image from Squigglefly by Teresa Ward and knew I had to use it. So this is what I came up with.

I know it really doesn't look ATC size here but I made the pic big so you could see the gorgeous Angel. Teresa has done a fab job with this one. You can use her as a bride or add the seperate wings and make her into an angel, very versatile I thought lol. Well done Teresa!!! :)
Right back to the ickle card thing, I stamped a background onto lilac shimmery paper with my Inkadinkado set then inked the edges in a lighter colour. Coloured the angel in with my copics added some stickles to give her wings some sparkle, stuck the wings on with 1mm foam pads and stuck her on with 2mm ones so she was raised up a bit from the wings. A few bits of ribbon to finish because I couldn't do no embelishments now could I? and job done.
Think I might like these ATC things they are so quick to make, might make some into cards...mmm. Anyway now it's your turn, make an ATC with a Squigglefly image and link it to the challenge blog so we can see what you have made. Squigglefly have just released some really nice images and there is a total mix, something for everyone. Remember the Squigglefly blog hop kicks off this Wednesday and I will have a card to show you then with one of their new cute images.

That's it from me, have to get the kids to school. Hope you can join in with ther challenegs.

Hugs Lora

Saturday 27 June 2009

I'm on a roll today!

I've been crafting all day and have got all my design team stuff done for all week and even a few cards for the week after and have even made 2 cards for challenges! Thought I would get them all done before Mojo disappears again.
So I have 2 cards to show just now. My first one i s for Just Magnolia. I just had to find time to do this one because it is a sketch by Bev and you know how I love sketches and because it's one from Bev, it had to be fab right? So this is what I came up with.

I do kinda like how this one turned out but it was very nearly a bin job. I had all my papers on and my image on, just had to do the flowers and I noticed there was a tiny bit of blue pen on the top of my image, so I tried wiping it off thinking it was maybe just something that would wipe off but my nail got caught in one of the scallops and ripped it! So I inked all round the image while it was still stuck to the card because I couldn't get it off without ripping it, which did cover the pen but made the tear stand out even more lol so I just stuck a flourish thing on top and hoped for the best! Didn't make a very good job with the brown ink but it was really difficult to apply when it was stuck to the card and I couldn't find my sponge dauber thingie. Anyway it's done and it can just stay like that lol.
All the papers I used are from DCWV Garden Party stack and the flowers are Primas from....yes you guessed it Aries Crafts. Love that place lol. I got the flourish and branch/leaves from Heather and spacers from my stash.

And the second card I made is fro Friday Sketchers. Another fab sketch this week that I just had to try.

I am really annoyed with this photo. No matter how many times I tried, it still came out blurry and her dress looks a totally different colour than IRL. But I gave up trying so just pretend it's a great picture and her dress looks the sam ecolour as the papers lol.
I have used more papers from my DCWV garden Party stack. Did you notice I like this pad lol. It has loads in it though and lot sare glittered so whats not to like? Barry thinks I am mad for paying £15 for it but it has 48 8x8 sheets (2 each of 24 different patterns) and the paper is good quality. That's my excuse to him anyway, really I just liked it and didn't even know how many sheets or the price before I bought it lol.
I have used a Magnolia image that Lorraine sent me. I know this one is normally used for Christmas but who says she can't be used all year round?
After I finished the card I thought somethinf was missing so I added some ribbon down the sides. The flowers are all punched from various punches and beadcaps from my stash.

Well think this is my last post tonight because I'm of bloghopping before it's time for bed. It's only 9.30 and I can't stop yawning!

Oh nearly forgot, Squigglefly is having a bloghop next week. It will be a 2 day hop on Wednesday the 1st and Thursday 2nd July. Squigglefly will be giving away 3 images and some of the girls on the team might also have a little bit of candy on their own blogs too.
I don't know yet if I will have anything to give away as I haven't been able to go shopping this week for anything (spent to much last week lol), but you never know ;) check back on Wednesday to see.

Please do leave me a comment to let me know you have stopped by. I love to read them and the I can come visit you too :)

Fred She Said DT card and some news

Sorry for the lack of blogging this week. I have been really busy with the kids and stuff at home so haven't had time to blog. Thanks to everyone who has emailed and left comments asking how Liam is. He is fine, the swelling had went down loads and his eye looks a lot better. I decided not to call the police as the headteacher got the childs parents up to school for a meeting and they were really shocked at what had happened and his Dad told the headteacher that he would make sure nothing like this ever happens again. I wasn't there but the parents were told that I was thinking of getting the police involved and they both said they could not blame me if I did, so they seem to be quite decent people. I did say though that if their son starts bullying Liam again, I will have no hesitation and will go straight to the police. The day after it happened Liam went back to school and the boy who hit him came up to him and apologised and asked Liam if they could be friends and Liam said ok. Don't think I would of been so laid back about it as Liam was (I would of probably punched the little s**t) but at least it means that he is not getting bullied anymore.
So that's the update on Liam and now I have my DT card for Fred She Said to show you.
This was a really quick card I made this morning.
Chiara wanted me to make a card with lots of orange on it (her fav colour) and she also picked out the cute little seahorse and this is what I came up with.
The seahorse and coral seaweed thing as Tracey calls it lol are both from Emma The Mermaid set from FSS. You have seen me use a few images from this set and all the sea creatures and Emma the Mermaid all go so well together but you can also mix and match all the different elements or just use one and they still look fab.
The papers are a mix of Basic Grey, Papermania and K&Co. Flowers are a mix again, I have puched some with my Dovecraft punch, a tiny flower punch (no name) and my brand new Stampin Up 5 petal punch that I got this morning :), I have also used a few Primas from Aries Crafts , finished off with a few gems from my stash.

I also have a bit of news if anyone is interested? I was asked to be on the Little yellow Comapny design team. Did anyone notice the new banner in my sidebar? They have some cool quirky digi images and I have been having fun playing with them. They also have a challenge blog which will start this wednesday (links in my sidebar), so be sure to check them out.
I was also asked my my lovely blogging buddy Carly to be a guest designer for Charisma Cardz for 2 weeks starting this Thursday :)
See what I mean when I said I was busy with DT stuff lol. It's all fun though and I get to play with great images, what more could I ask for.

That's it for me just now. I think I have wrote enough to make you fall asleep lol.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I will stop by your blogs sometime today to see what you have all been up too :)

Sketch and Stash with animals

I made a card yesterday for the sketch and stash challenge but with everything that happened today I didn't post it so thought I would stick it on here before I go to bed.
As usual there is a great sketch to follow and you have to use your new or neglected stash and they now have an optional challenge which this week is to use your new or neglected animal stash.
Now before I show this card, I do have to say that I am not very happy with the colouring on this image, it is a very detailed stamp and I really have to practice colouring with this kind of images but here goes anyway.

The stamp I have used is one that I got from Aries Crafts last week. It is a very pretty stamp and although I am not very good at colouring it, I did have loads of fun trying different ways of colouring it. In the end I stamped the image with black ink and used clear embossing powder, then coloured with my copics. I found this to be the easiest way as without the embossing, the outlines of the horses were very hard to see. If anyone knows of a better way then please do let me know. I did try with some watercolour pencils but I only have a small set (I think about 12) and there is only 1 shade of brown which is a kind of redish brown and only 1 of the other colours too, so it just didn't look right.
My papers are from my new DCWV Garden party stack, corners are punched with an old McGill corner punch I have had for ages and only used a few times. My flowers are punched ones made with my new Dovecraft punch and Primas from the Sweet and Sassy Cinderella jar also from Aries Crafts. I know I keep mentioning this website but honestly, they have some really nice stuff especially their flowers (loads of Primas) and they are all at a good prices with free UK delivery. Please do check them out (link in my sidebar) and if you do order, could you please say that I sent you or told you about them. I don't get anything for you saying that but just so they know that I am letting people know about their website. That would be great :D
Oh everything else on my card is from my stash. By the way Aries Crafts will have some bead caps in soon and I know that they will be at a very good price too :)

Before I go I wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the comments and advice you left me on my earlier post regarding Liam. I think I know what I am going to do now.
I was really touched with all the kind words you left for Liam and I promise I did give him all the hugs that you told me to give him. I really did lol, I kept hugging him and saying here's one from Teresa, amd one from Carly, one from Marjanne, a kiss from Vikki oh and another hug from Stef lol. The poor lid must of thought I was mad lol.
I'm off to bed now because my eyes are so heavy that if I don't go now I will be falling asleep on the keyboard!

Hugs Lora

Digital Tuesday Challenge 12 Use Your Scraps

Sorry for the late post today, I had an appointment at the hospital with Chiara this morning to get her nose checked as she keeps getting bad nose bleeds so thought I would do this post when I got back but just got in the door at the phone went. It was Liams's school saying he had been in an accident and I had to go get him. When I got there they told me it wasn't an accident, he had been hit by another kid. He was sitting in the medical room with an ice pack on his face and his head teacher warned me it was bad before she took the ice pack off to show me. He has a big swollen bruise and a some grazes beside his eye, so I had to take him to the hospital to get it checked out as it was the eye he got the stick fired into a few weeks ago. They took x-rays but nothing is broken so thats good. The doctor said the swelling will get much worse though.
So my day has been spent at the hospital!
I will post a pic of Liam later if he lets me take one lol.

Now onto my DT card for Digital Tuesday. This weeks the challenge is to use your scraps. Now if you are anything like me, you will have tons of scraps, so why not join in with this weeks challenge and use some of them up.

Our sponsor this week is Squigglefly who are giving the winner 3 of their digital images, so I have used one of my Squigglefly images called Pixie on my card. This is the 2nd time I have used this cutie in the last few weeks (I think I used it 2 weeks ago for my Squigglefly DT card), but I think she is so sweet, don't you?
I know my background paper is DCWV but I can't remember who makes the other two as they were just really small scraps. My flowers are Prima and punched ones using my new Dovecraft punch. Everything else is from my stash.
I am also entering this card into Friday Sketchers as I followed this weeks sketch.
I hope you will join in this week and thank you to everyone who joined in with last weeks challenge, all the entries were fab.
Now I'm off to nurse my little boys face. Ok well stick a bag of frozen something on it, then try to catch a pic of him lol.

Sugar Bowl challenge - sketch by Lilian

I had some time to play today while the kids were at school and there is a great sketch over at the Sugar Bowl by Lilian, and you know how I love sketches so I just had to have a go.
The "please include" this week is the colour 'kraft' or if you don't have any Kraft the you can use browns and creams. If you want to be included in the draw for the prize, you must include this along with the sketch.
I had so much fun making this card and I am quite pleased with the results too, although it looks a bit dark in the photo but it's pouring of rain here again, so had to take the photo inside and they never turn out very well when I take pics indoors. I don't have any Kraft paper so I used browns and creams which are all from the K&Co Earth Browns Mat Pad. I used my Sugar Nellie Daisy and Dolly stamp which I bought a few weeks ago but this is the first time I have inked it up. I still have two more that I haven't used yet so I will be using them over the next few days too. I coloured her with Copics in browns and creams to match the papers. I would normally reach for my pink markers but it's a nice change to do something different, and I quite like her like this.
I normally only use stamps for my main image and sentiment but I felt like playing with some of my stamps from an Inkadinkadoo set that I have only used 2 stamps from and there are 12 in the set! So I got them out and stamped on some of the papers and beside my main image.
I used cream pearl paint instead of pearls because I have ran out of cream and white pearls. I really like this stuff, it looks like pearls and lasts so much longer than the pack of pearls I normally buy and works out a lot cheaper too :) Only disadvantage is that you have to wait ages for it to dry.
The large flower is from a Cardology pack, and the others are all Primas. The lace and bead cap are both from my stash.
Well what do you think, not enough colour? Too much stamping?
Please do leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I have really been doing stuff out of my comfort zone lately but I am having so much fun so guess I should do that more often.

Bye for now

Award Time and the Squigglefly challenge

Over the last week or two, I have received some fab awards but I just haven't had time to post them. Well I have had time to post them ,thats a total lie lol but I haven't had time to really think about who I want to pass them on to.
I have a few to pass on but I am just going to post them here just now and later on (maybe today), I will have a proper think about who I am going to pass them on to and also I need to list some honest things about myself for one of them. That might take a while for me to think of 10 honest things lol.
Right so the first one is from my lovely friend Lorraine (coldwaters)
I also received this one from another of my lovely friends Susie.
Now I do have this one already, but it still means a lot to me, so thank you so much girls for thinking of me.
I also received this one from Susie
Again, this is one I have already received but it means no less to me. Thank you so very much hunnie, I'm happy that I make someone smile!

And last but by no means least is one I received from Vikki. I haven't know Vikki that long but in the short while that we have been visiting each others blogs, I already know that she is a great person and a fab crafter. Thank you so much Vikki, this means so much to me :)

Thank you from the bottom of my heart ladies, I am so touched that you think I deserve these, and I promise I will pass them on asap, but I like to pass them on to people that I think really do deserve them rather than just telling anyone to take them, if you know what I mean.
Well now that I have showed off all my awards, it's time for another Squigglefly challenge.
This week is Kim's teams turn to be featured on the Squigglefly blog and she challenged us to do the out of the box technique, also known as out of bounds technique.

For this card I have used some of the images from the baby set. You get so much in this set and all in two sizes and facing the left and the right, of course you can resize them to whatever size you want too.
I have used my classic scalloped circle nestabilities to do the out of the box technique. If you don't know how to do this, it is really easy, you just cut straight up to the bit of your image that you want to hang out of the box or in this case circle (without cutting any paper off) then place your die over your image as you would normally but take the bit you want out of the circle (the wheels) and place them over the die so it's not on the cutting side, then cut as normal. This will leave you with your scalloped circle or square rectangle or whatever else you want to cut (I must say it is a lot easier with a square or rectangle but I just had to be awkward lol) and the bit you cut round hanging over.
I bet nobody understood that but it made sense in my head lol. I am sure Bev has a tutorial on her blog how to do this with much easier instructions and pictures.
I can't rememeber who makes the designer papers I have used but I do know they are both baby papers. I used some flowers that I won in Lorraines blog candy and some little roses, a tedy charm and some lace from my stash.
I hope some of you will join in with this weeks challenge as there are not much entries the last few weeks, so come on lets see what you can do with the out of the box technique.
Hope to see you there!

Something very different for Cute Daisy May

It's time (well almost time since it's the early hours of the morning here, as I won't have time to post it as normal in the morning) for another Cute Daisy May challenge
This week the theme is animals. You can make whatever you want as long as it has an animal on it, and of course you don't have to use a Cute Daisy May download (although we do love to see what you make with them), you can use whatever you like.
I have tried something REALLY different this week and have used one of Linnies Helping Hands Templates. Now this is my very first time using a template like this so please be gentle with me lol. I have quite a few pics to show you the whole thing so just keep on scrolling lol.

I used the Farmhouse template and this is the house with the doors closed. I had to tip the house a bit so I could fit it all in the photo (ok except a little bit at the top that I cut off lol), so my doors have opened a bit, but when it is standing straight, they close nicely.

This is the inside of the house and barn with the doors open. I used 2 Cute Daisy May downloads and a stamp called Loves "horses" which can be purchased at Aries Crafts. (see link in my sidebar)
A close up of the rooms and the Daisy May images (sorry it's a bit blurry) which I coloured with Copics. The papers I used as "wallpaper" are K&Co.

A closer look at inside the barn. The horses were embossed with clear detail embossing powder then I coloured with my Copics. I have never coloured a stamp that is as detailed as this or any that are "real looking", so this was a big challenge for me but I did enjoy it :) I added some hay as the horse stamp is 2 horses heads so I had to use something under them so they didn't look as if they were floating. I got the picture of the hay off the internet. (copywrite free of course).
And finally if you are still with me lol, a view from the top so you can see the roof and how the doors open.
Oh all the papers I used for the building, brick, wood and tile affect are all ones I got a while ago from a dolls house website. My Daughter Rhianna has a dolls house and I was looking for nice wallpaper and bits for it and came accross these too. I knew they would come in handy one day :) I also used some brads for handles on the doors.

Phew, that was one long post for one DT project lol and I still have my Squigglefly card to post today, but I will do that later.
Thanks for looking and I hope you will pop on over to the Cute Daisy May blog to see the other girls cards and join in with the challenge too:)

Fred She Said DT card

Hello everyone, but nobody even noticed I hadn't posted since Wednesday did you?
Well I have been really busy with stuff at home but also working on DT stuff which will be shown at the start of the week. My Son Liam is in his last year at Primary School and will be going to Academy (High school) after the Summer Holidays so on Thursday and Friday he was up at the Academy instead of his own school. He really enjoyed it but it's a lot farther away than the school he is at just now and in the opposite direction so he had no idea how to get there, and to be honest neither did I lol. So on Thursday morning we phoned for a taxi to take us there so we knew where we were going for the next day but Liam had to come home himself as I have to pick his sister up from her school and the poor kid got lost. Then yesterday I told him to walk down to beside our doctors surgery and get the bus home because he knows how to get to the doctors but he lost his bus fares and the school had to phone his Dad to come pick him up! What a kid lol. He has to go there 1 day a week next week and the week after so we are going to take a walk up there a few times so he knows where he's going next time. I think yesterday he probably didn't lose his money, it was pouring of rain and he probably just didn't want to walk to the bus stop in the rain because it's about a 10 minute walk away so he got his Dad to come get him lol. Couldn't blame him though, the weather was terrible yesterday and I would of done the same lol. Can't believe he is going up to the "big" school, he is a year younger than some of the other kids in his class as his birthday is in February so he started school when he was 4 instead of 5, so he is only 11 and is the smallest kid in his class too.
Well I suppose they have to grow up sometime and he can't be my baby forever. Anyway here's my DT card for Fred She Said.

I have used the 5 petal pointy flowers and some leaves from the same set. You get a sheet of different leaves and also 6 petal flowers too. I have used just one kind of the flowers but there is another kind in both the 5 and 6 petals. You just get so much for your money in Tracey's sets. If you haven't checked out Tracey's work, you really are missing out. Click on the link in my sidebar to take you to the FSS shop and have a look at all her beautiful flowers and other images too.
I have kept this card really simple to keep the flowers as the main focus. I coloured them with my Copics and also added icicle stickles to the petals. There are lots of ways you can use these flowers but I used my embossing tools. A large one on the end of the petals to curl them and a thin one to emboss a line near the base which curls them even more both done on the back of the flowers, then turned the flowers over and used my large embossing tool in the middle and at the base of the petals which makes them sit nicely. I did also use my embossing tool on the leaves just to give them a bit of shape but I don't think you can see that very well.
The paper I have used is DCWV and lace from my stash. I also used some pearl paint in the middle of the flowers and at the corners of the card.

That was a long post for such a simple card wasn't it? Oh well it written now lol.
I'm off to do some bloghopping in a bit so will see you all at your place soon.

A spoon full of sugar and a Gorjuss girl

This is a long post. Please do not hold me responsible if you fall asleep half way down lol.
I have finally brought myself to use one of the gorjuss girl images that Heather sent me. I have been hanging on to them because I don't want to use them all up lol, but at the same time I have been dying to use them so I forced myself to use one last night and I love her, I have got to convince Barry that I need some of these stamps more than the kids need new toys! Well they have loads of toys and I don't have lots of stamps so it's only fair isn't it? The kids might not be too happy about that but they will have a happy Mummy lol.
Anyway here's the card I made, it's smaller than I normally do again because I have ran out of card so I'm using the pre made ones I won from Lorraine's blog candy. Thank you so much Lorraine these have came in sooo handy, just like I said they would :)
I have followed the sketch over at A Spoonfull Of Sugar. It's quite a simple sketch but I really like it. Was perfect for this size of card.
I have coloured my Gorjuss girl with Copics as usual but Heather uses Bristol Board which I have never used before and I have to say I love it! It is so much easier to colour on and the ink stays wet for a little longer giving you time to blend. I was at my local art shop yesterday and they have some so I think I will be getting some of that next time I'm there, although it is quite expensive but I think it's worth it.
My papers are all the result of my shopping trip yesterday (more about that in a min) and are Amy Butler from K&Co. The sentiment is from Stampin UP! Circle Of Friendship set, the only one I have from SU! infact the only sentiment set I have but I love it. Must get some more though. I have stuck my sentiment onto a metal flower tag thing, I think it was from Artymiss,
and all my flowers are Prima which you can buy at Aries Crafts, link in my sidebar.

Now that's the card out of the way, let me tell you about my wee shopping trip yesterday.
I was going to go to the paper mill for some card and paper for printing on but I changed my mind and headed to my local craft shop (Holburn Crafts in Aberdeen). I needed some detailed embossing powder and thought right I wil go to the craft shop, get the powder then might have time to get back home and go to the paper mill for my card (it's in the opposite direction and only a 10 minute bus journey from my house) but I ended up in town shopping and not getting back till hours after lol so missed the papermill. Never mind I will go today in a bit.
Before I got to the craft shop I thought I would just nip in to the Art shop to get a skin coloured Copic as my lightest one had ran out so I popped in there and ended up buying 5 Copics instead of 1 lol, they are only £1.99 each though so that was ok. I also looked at the Bristol Board and other papers but didn't buy any, then I headed up town and passed the Haberdashery, well I had to pop in didn't I? I got loads of lace and for £2.50!! Then remembered I had to pick up my Nieces birthday presents so went and got her 2 games for her Nintendo DS and finally on to the craft shop. I finally got there at 4.45 and they close at 5 but Gayle the owner is great and kept the shop open so I could have a good look :)
I ended up buying 3 K&Co Mat stacks, a DCWV 8x8 premium pad (very pretty and it's glittered too), a flower punch (which I don't like very much now I have had a good look at it) and some tape. I paid for that (£34) then just as I was leaving remembered what I had actually went there for! So bought my embossing powder too. All in all I was just under £38 in the craft shop when I only went for 1 tub of embossing powder lol.
On the way home I bought the girls an arty activity set each and Liam some huge planes and got a few other bits we needed. So that was my day out. Thjought I would just get some embossing powder and ended up spending about £150!...oops Better just take the moeny I need for my card when I go to the papermill lol.

Hope you are all having a lovely day and that I haven't sent you to sleep!

Digital Tuesday Challenge #11 A Recipe

Good morning everyone, I can't believe it's Tuesday already, where did my weekend go!!
It's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge. First I would like to say a huge thank you to those of you who entered my challenge last week, you all did a fab job :) I know I hinted all week for people to join in but I set the challenge to make or decorate a bag or box and I knew that it might not be too popular with some cardmakers who only like to make cards so I had to try my best to get you to join in lol
Right onto this weeks challenge. Our host this week is Maria and she has gave us a recipe to follow, brown and blue and bling.
Our sponsor this week is Doodlepalace. The owners Dee and Robin are also joining us this week as guest designers!
My card
I have made a smaller card this time so not much layers and stuff on it but I think this doggie is so cute that he should be the centre of attention.
My image is from Doodlepalace (Dee and Robin very kindly gave the design team an image to play with), papers are papermania and SEI and everything else is from my stash.

Hope you will have a look over at the challenge blog, the other girls have mae some beautiful cards to inspire you all.

My 2nd DT card for today

I'm back from the hospital and Liam is back at school. He is not sick or anything, he has ADHD and has to see a psychologist at the Children's hospital every few months just to check that he is on the right dose of medication etc. But everything is fine with him so we were only there for about 20 mins. Just thought I would explain that because I didn't say before why he had to go to hospital and I got a few emails asking if he was ok.
Right on to my Squigglefly card. This week the challenge set by Rhonda is a colour combo of pink, black and 1 other colour of your choice and you also have to use 2 flowers and 2 brads.
I kept this one really simple as it's a smaller card than I normally make. For my 3rd colour I chose grey/silver and I used my artistic license on her hair and skin lol. Didn't think her hair would look very good black or grey. This squigglefly image reminds me of my 4 year old Daughter Chiara, she would sleep anywhere and often falls asleep sitting up like this...bless her.
The paper I have used for both the top and the bottom is actually just one sheet of designer paper. I'm not sure who makes it as my lovely friend Stef sent me it. The velvety ribbon I think was some I won in a blog candy a while back and the flowers were again made with my nesties, which I squashed again in the scanner. Just humour me please and pretend all the petals are lifted and not all squashed lol. I also used 2 flower brads from my stash. I think I actually remembered to use everything I was ment to this week!
Please do hop over to the Squigglefly blog and see what the other girls have made. You will see all of Rhonda's teams cards on the challenge blog but remember Kim's team (the one I am in) all have their cards on just their own blogs this week.
Thanks for looking

Cute Daisy May DT card with a new fairy

Good morning everyone. Hope you all had a great weekend.
I do have 2 cards to show today one for Cute Daisy May and one for Squigglefly but blogger would only let me upload one so I will have to try put the other on when I come back from the hospital with Liam.
So for now, here is my card for Cute Daisy May and the challenge this week is "In the round"- include a circle somewhere on your card.
Now I do like the look of circle cards and you can see some beautiful examples thatthe other girls on the team havve made but I don't have a Cricut or anything like that so couldn't cut a big enough circle and my efforts at handcutting circles is shocking so I went with a square card and used circles on it.
I have used one of the gorgeous faries from Linnies newest sheet, isn't she pretty. Linnie has done a great job with this one, you really need to go check this sheet out. I have coloured her with the usual Copics and used some icicle Stickles for her wings then cut her with my scalloped circle nesties, oh and I done the out of bounds thing with her legs as she was too big for the circle. My flowers are also made with the same scalloped Nestabilities and I added spacers and brads and a Angel charm which says made for an angel on the reverse, from my stash. My flowers got a bit squashed because I scanned this card but they look very pretty in real life. Oh and the lush paper is from Bo Bunny.
Hope lots of you can join in the challenge this week.

Right I have to go so I get to the hospital on time. Liam has an appointment today but we shouldn't be there long so I will be back with my Squigglefly card soon.

Blogger is not playing nice!!

Blogger is being a real pain this morning. It took me over an hour to upload 1 picture!
Anyway my Brother asked me to make a card for my Niece's birthday which is on Saturday, so I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday but it kind of went wrong lol.
Everything was going to plan but just as I was away to stick on my flowers and swirls at the bottom corners to follow the sketch I noticed I spilled a bit hot chocolate right beside my image!
I should know by now not to drink hot chocolate when I am making cards, after me spilling it all over my designer papers last time!!
So I had to change the sketch a bit and put my flowers down one side. I think it still looks ok though, what do you think?
I have went really girly with this one as my Niece Jodi will be 8 on her birthday and is a girly girl. I have used papers from 2 different Papermania pads. The flowers are a mix of Prima's from Aries Crafts, some from the blog candy I won from Lorraine, and some little roses. Have you noticed that I like these roses lol.
I used some lace from my stash and threaded some thin satin ribbon through the middle of it. Everything else is from my stash. I hope she like this :)

Here's a close up of Tilda.

I'm off now to make one for her from me and the kids. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Stamp Something Sugar Nellie

Hello everyone, I feel like I haven't blogged for ages, it's only been a couple of days and I have been reading what evertone has been up to but just not had anything to post. I have been busy with design team stuff but now I have it all done, I have the weekend to play, yay.
So last night I made a card for Stamp Something challenge with one of my new Sugar Nellie stamps.
I took the pic in my bathroom lol because I didn't want to go out in the rain to take a pic, and it's the brightest place in the house, but not much room and I have to put the card on my tiny thin window cill and it always falls off just as I click the camera which is why a bit of the top is cut off lol. I couldn't be bothered taking another 20 pics to get it right so just left it like that. I will never get a job as a photographer but I'm sure you lot don't mind, do ya?
Anyway onto the card, the stamp is not a new one (as in new release) but it reminded me so much of my little girls that I had to get it. They are always feeding their teddies and dollys pretend .... so cute :)
All the papers are Basic Grey, 2 are from the Porcelain pad and the one I used for the backing is from the Gypsy collection and is called Migration. I didn't cut the bottom strip off that one, or else I would have no idea what it was called lol.
I have inked the edges of all my papers and also the base card and image with some pink ink, got a bit carried away again!
My flowers are made with the nestie classic scalloped circle (smallest one) with some scraps of one of the papers I used, and on top of that are pretty pink flowers I won in Lorraines candy, then a little rose. The pretty little branches are ones that Heather so kindly sent me, thanks hun I love these and the other ones you sent too :)
And finally some lace from my stash.
I really like the flowers made with my nestabilities. I don't have any flower punches except 2 tiny wee ones so these do the job nicely and you can match the paper you are using perfectly. I have been making these a lot lately but don't think I have posted any before this, they are all on my DT cards for next week, so sorry you will be seeing them a lot.
I'm off to make some more cards now. Hope you are all having a great weekend :)
Oh before I go, if you are still reading this novel I have just wrote, remember it's my challenge this week over at the Digital Tuesday Challenge and I would love if some of you could join in. All you have to do is decorate or make a bag or a box and add something digital, even just a sentiment if you like. Don't think many people have entered this week, so pwetty please join in if you can. I will be forever gratefull lol and you could win a digi set of your choice from My Grafico for your efforts :)

Just Magnolia

A quick post from me tonight as Chiara is driving me up the wall just now lol. She is a real Mummy's girl and I don't get a minute's peace from her, but saying that I still love her to bits and would be lost without her moaning at me all the time lol.
I did get a card done for the Just Magnolia challenge though. This week it's a great sketch from Rach.

I have mirrored the sketch not because I was trying to be clever but because my card was the wrong way round when I stuck the blue strip on so I just went with it lol.
I have used a piece of K&Co paper I have had for about a year and never really liked it but I picked it up today and just had to use it. The other paper is from the Laura Ashley traditional pack. I coloured Tilda with my Copics and added some Stickles to her wings. Not the kind of colours I would of normally chose to use on her but it was the closest Copic colours I had to match the papers. Now she is done, I kinda like it though. But my Daughter Rhianna told me it was rubbish and that she looked like a boy! That's what I get for asking a 5 year old what she thinks lol.
I have used one of my sentiment stamps that I got today from Stampin Up. I didn't have any sentiment stamps that said more than happy birthday or thank you etc so when I saw these in the SU! catalogue, I knew I just had to get them :)
I'm off now to get this little monster, I mean my beautiful charming little girl to her bed!

Recipe:
Papers K&Co and Laura Ashley traditional
Image: Tilda which was semt to me by the lovely Heather (Rica) thanks you hunnie xx
Sentiment: Stampin UP! Circle of friendship set
Colouring: Copics and Stickles
Embelishments: Prima flowers, Papermania pearl brads, Ribbon, spacers and charm from my stash.
Tools: Cuttlebug, Small clasic scalloped circle Nestabilities.

Thanks for stopping to see little old me :) I was going to ask my fellow bloggies a favour but I forgot what it was. Oh by the way the Digiatl Tuesday Challenge is my challenge of making or decorating a bag or box this week, would love for you to join in hint hint lol

My time to Craft with Daisy May

I got time to do a challenge card while the kids were at school today. There's a fab sketch over at My Time To Craft so of course I had to join in. You know me and my sketches lol.
I have used one of the Cute Daisy May's from Linnie's new sheet (31). Isn't she just adorable? and there are 2 other girls and a little teddy bear too all for £1.99!! I will be using another one from this sheet on a card very soon.
I have coloured her and her little poodle with my Copics as usual. Papers are Papermania and Kanban. Flowers are all Primas. The brads I have used are from Papermania but had to stick all the pearls back on first!
Ribbon from my stash and the little purple flower charm is from a poundland card making kit!
I am really liking purples just now, so sorry if you are getting a bit fed up of my purple cards lol.
Well I'm off to see what other challenges I can join in with. If you want to win one of Linnie's lovely doodles sheets, then why not join in with this weeks challenge over at Cute Daisy May. It's a colour challenge of pink and green this week and you don't even have to use any of the Daisy May images if you don't have any, you can use whatever you want :)
Please scroll down for my earlier post today with my Digital Tuesday DT card.

Digital Tuesday Challenge # 10

It Tuesday again and that means time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge.
It's my turn to host and set the challenge this week and I chose make or decorate a bag or a box.
I thought I would do a different challenge rather than just a card because I know that a lot of us like to make other things and not just cards all the time.
You can just decorate a box or bag you already have or make one from scratch like I did. The only other rule is to use a digital image on your project. It can be any digital image from any company you like or if you are really creative one of your own (I'm certainly not clever enough for that though lol).
So here's what I came up with!
I did make a gift bag to start with but I wasn't keen on the papers I used and just didn't think it looked very nice so this is my second attempt.
I got out one of my old Glittergirls embossing board embossed the bag shape. The only thing that I don't like about using this bag shape is that you can't put anything in it as there are no sides to keep stuff from falling out, it's more decorative then usefull, so I just cut two pieces of card to fit just inside the sides so now I can fill it up with goodies :)
The papers I used are papermania and the digi flowers and leaf are from Fred She Said Polka Dotty Set, I just love these flowers, they are so easy to use and already coloured.
I used a metal flower (I think from Artymiss) with a button on top to look like a fastener kind of thing, and out some little magnetic strips underneath the flap so that it closes. And some ribbon from my stash so it can be carried.
Barry told me I should make one next time I go on a night out to match my outfit lol. Somehow I don't think so, I mean when do I ever get out lol. Only joking I wouldn't seriously use it as a handbag lol.
Well that's my little bit of inspiration but the rest of the design team have some great boxes and bags to show you. Check them all out at Digital Tuesday. I would love to see what you all come up with for this one :)

A card just because

I've been having a little play with one of my Stamps Happen Craft stamps from Janlynn.

This is very different from my normal style but I think it's nice to try something different now and again. The stamp I have used this time is called Chick Rules for obvious reasons. The black/grey paper is Basic Grey Black Tie and the red is Cosmo Cricket. Ribbon, feather charm , spacer and gem are all from my stash and the flower is froma digital set but I forgot to write done where I got it from...duh. I have never used digital embelishments on my cards so this is a first for me. I couldn't find a black or red flower so went looking through my digi stuff and found this. I wasn't sure about it and thought it would look really "fake" but I don't think it is that bad. What do you think?
I wanted to alter a clipboard and use this stamp on it but I don't have a clipboard lol. I saw on a blog or website (can't remember where now) someone had altered a clipboard and used it in their kitchen as an organiser kind of thing, and I thought this stamp would be great for that. It just reminds me of an old country kitchen, but maybe thats just me lol.
Well that's me for tonight, and I will be back in the morning for the Digiatl Tuesday Challenge. It's my turn to host the challenge this week and set the challenge. Stop by tomorrow to find out what my challenge is ;)

Double DT cards

Good morning ladies and men if any read this today.
I have two DT cards to show today. My first is for Cute Daisy May. This is my first week as
designer for them and I am so happy to be part of a wonderful team of girls :)
This weeks challnge is to use Pink and Green, which is great for me as it's one of my favourite colour combos. As always the winner will get their choice of one of the Cute Daisy May sheets.
You don't need to use any of the Daisy May sheets to enter (although we would love to see what you do with them if you have some), so come on and join in the fun.
I would love to see lots of my blogging buddies there, especially on my first week as designer, so please enter if you have the time :)

The gorgeous image of Daisy I have used is from sheet 17, isn't she lovely? I am so happy to be on the design team because I lost most of my Daisy May sheets when my computer got a virus a while back so now I get the chance to play with Linnie's sheets again and the new ones too :) and of course because I love working with these cute images.
Right got a bit sidetracked there, here's what I used
Papers: a mixture of Basic Grey, K&Co and the pink one is from a baby stack but don't know who makes it.
Embelishments: Lace and roses from my stash, other flowers are Prima and one I handcut then ran through the Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots folder. The charm is from my stash and I added some pearl beads on a string. I ordered flat back pearls and they sent me these tiny pearl beads, half of which don't have a whole right through! So I had to find some way of using them up lol.

Right my second card is my DT card for Squigglefly. It's Kim's teams turn to be featured on the Squigglefly blog this week (that's the team I'm in) and Kim has choose a colour combo this week of Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point and Pink Pirouette and she would also like to see a button on your card.
I did have some Kiwi Kiss and Pacific Point that a friend sent me about a year ago but I only had a small piece of each and I set them out to use but my Daughter Rhianna used them!! So I had to just match the colours with what I had in my stash. I actually have no idea what the Stampin Up colours look like in real life so I just went by a colour chart that Kim sent me and choose the closest I had.
You might want to put on some shades round about now because this is one bright card lol.

I love this pixie from Squigglefly she is just adorable. I have coloured her with Copics in the closest colours I had to the cardstock. All the card I have used is from my stash and no designer paper in sight!! That is a first for me I think.
The flowers are all handcut except the smallest ones thatI punched with a little punch I got from an Artymiss bargain box along with 19 others!
Lace is from my stash and I used my Fiskars border punch for the Pink Strip.
Oh and did you notice that I didn't use a button? I forgot to add it and didn't realise until days after I had sent Kim my card....oops!

You can see the rest of Kim's teams cards on the Squigglefly challenge blog and all the other girls on their own blogs, which are on the sidebar on the challenge blog. There is loads of us on the team so lots of inspirationm for you.

Thanks for stopping by and reading this huge post. Please do stop by both challenge blogs this week.

Sunday 7 June 2009

Finally a challenge card.

I finally got time do do a challenge card! I have been busy with DT stuff and cards for Aries Crafts and haven't had a chance to make a challenge card for the last few days.
I normally have all my DT stuff done long before they are due and have the rest of the week to do challenges but I ran out of printer ink and couldn't get any until Thursday, then teh kids were off school Thursday and Friday so didn't have much time to do anything then. Since I'm on 4 digital design teams, it's a bit of a nightmare when my printer ink runs out, especially as I didn't have anything printed out before it died on me!! So I lost 4 days of being able to do digiatl stuff and have been playing catch up all weekend.
Anyway I have plenty of ink now and got everything done so tonight it was time to play :)
I made a card with the brilliant sketch over at the Sugar Bowl. For a chance to win the prize, you also have to include green and blue on your card.

All the papers I have used are Digital ones made by Summer. Not much to say about this card. I followed the sketch pretty much to the letter. My flowers are a mix of Primas and one I had in my stash. The lovely swirl/flourish was from Linnie which I coloured to match my image. Linnie gave me loads ages ago that she cut with her Cricut for me but this is the last one...sob.
The images is obviously Sugar Nellie and everything else is from my stash.

Well thats it for me tonight, I will be back in the morning with my DT card for the Squigglefly Challenge and my first DT card for Cute Daisy May too. Well my first card as a permanent DT member for Daisy May because I was their Guest Designer for a week a while back.
Hope you will come and join in the fun with the challenges too :)

My first Fred She Said DT card

Well I finished this card a lot quicker than I expected!!
This is my first DT card for Fred She Said :)

I had to scan this card because I just couldn't get a good picture of it with my camera. It's not a very nice day here today which doesn't help as I have to go outside to take pictures (the house is way too dark), and every time I use this colour on a card it never comes out like what it looks like in real life. I might try to get a better pic if the sun comes out.
Everything on this card is from Fred She Said. Well ok not everything, the papers are Papermania, pearls are Kanban and I used some sparkly purple string, but all the images and flowers are from FSS.
The flowers I have used are all from the Polka Dotty Flowers set. You get loads of flowers on one sheet and the set has 14 different coloured sheets each one with a light, a darker shade and a dark spotty flower and you also get leaves in different sizes too!!
The gorgeous mermaid and the fishie holding balloons are both from Emma the Mermaid set. There is loads of this set too. There are different characters which I will be using on another card soon and lots of other little bits to match. You even get an underwater scene.
If you haven't checked out Tracey's store, you really are missing out.
To purchase any of the images I have used here just click on the FSS banner in my sidebar (you can't miss it, it's the one with the cute mermaid popping up) or on the link near the start of this post. But be warned, you might be there a while because there is so much lovely things there that I know you will want.

Dancing bear and some news

I'm sorry I have been a bad blogger the last few days. The kids were off school yesterday as their school was being used for voting and they are off today because it's a teacher training day so I have been trying to keep them occupied.
I have been busy though with cards, mostly for DT stuff though. And speaking about DT stuff, I have some news. Linnie from Cute Daisy May emailed me yesterday and asked if I would like to be on her design team. Well of course I said yes because I love her doodles. So I am now a proud Dt member for Cute Daisy May :) I am working on a few cards using Linnies sheets and will hopefully post one later today.
I made a card yesterday with one of the Cute die cuts from Susies shop (link in my sidebar). If you haven't seen Susies die cuts you have just got to give her a visit, they are all adorable.
The cute bear comes with her clothes and shoes seperately so you can do what you want with them and she also comes with a cute little bow for her hair but I can't find it anywhere so I made my own with some thin ribbon.
I just done her nose and eyes with a normal felt tip pen and my white inkksentials pen for highlights. I then used some chalk to bring her to life :)
Papers are both K&Co. The larger flower at the top is from my stash and the rest are Primas from Aries Crafts. Spacers, pearls and ribbon are from my stash and the cute charm is also from Aries Crafts. I thought the Dancing Queen charm was perfect for the bear :)
Right I'm off to finish off some of the cards I have been working on. My printer ink ran out the other day and I didn't get till yesterday afternoon so I am playing catch up with all my design team stuff which I would of normally started on Monday!!
Don't think I will have much time to do any challenges for a few days but you never know.

A very flowery Anya

There's a great sketch over at A Spoonfull Of Sugar that I just had to have a go at.
The sketch shows lots of buttons but I have changed them for flowers and a large circle for a large flower so I have used quite a bit of blooms. Who doesn't love flowers though?
Both papers are ones I bought from the Papeterie that were from a pad and had no name on so I have no idea who makes them. It did say they were baby papers though so possibly from a baby stack? Anyway I really liked this strawberry one and the little seeds on them are glittered too.
Anya was another image I got in a swap. I really must get more stamps because I haven't used one of my own image stamps for a while except the Stamps Happen ones. I can't help it though, these images people were kind enough to send me are lovely so I can't just leave them lying there gathering dust now can I ?
I did use one of my own stamps though for the swirls. It is from Inkadinkadoo's gem stone jewels set. I stamped one flourish then done a little bit of masking and stamped part of it again so they were joined together.
The sentiment is from a foiled sentiment sheet i have had for ages, pearls and button from my stash and all the flowers are Prima from Aries Crafts.
The huge one is from the Antigua pack and the others are a mix from the bitty bag and sweet and sassy cinderella.
Oh and the green strip is punched with my fiskars scalloped lace punch.
I am off now to do a bit of blog hopping to catch up with you all.

Pink and Black Tilda

The kids are off school on Thursday and Friday so we were thinking of going away for the weekend. We took Liam camping last Summer and he loved it and I told the girls I would take them some time, so we might get the tents packed up and go away for a long weekend, but before then I have cards to make!
Chiara's nursery teacher asked me if I would make a wedding card for her neighbour so I have to get that done asap, because the wedding is next week and she wants to give the card in advance. I also have some Design Team stuff to get done before I go and my printer has just decided that the ink would run out just when I need it most!! I don't have nothing printed out so will have to wait untill I get ink before I can get any of the cards made as they are all for digital challenges! And I need to print an image for the weding card too. Just typical!
I made a card for the just Christmas and Birthday Card Challenge yesterday but forgot to put it on my blog. I would forget my head if it wasn't screwed on!! At least I didn't mis the challenge, it was only posted yesterday so plenty of time.
I went for for a pink and blak combo and I think it suits this Tilda.
The spotty black and spotty pink papers are Bo Bunny, checked one is Papermania and I have no idea who makes the other one. The button and ribbon are from my stash and the huge flower is a Prima "Antigua" one from Aries Crafts. Sentiment is an Anita stamp. It does say Happy Birthday in one line but it is not in a straight line so I stamped the words seperately.

Hope y9ou are all having a great day. It's not nice here like it has been but it's not cold so that's good. Hopefully the fog will clear and Mr Sunshine will put his hat on and come out to play. I feel a song coming on here. I will leave it there before I get you all singing it lol.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 9 - A sketch

Good morning everyone. It doesn't look like it's going to be a nice day like it has been the last few days. It has been raining and it looks a bit dreary today but never mind that means more craft time and time to join the Digital Tuesday Challenge.
It's a sketch by Jenny this week and if you like sketches as much as me your gonna love it.

And here's my card.Sorry the photo is a bit blurry. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to look right, so I just gave up and posted it as it is.
I have used another cute image from Digital Stamp Oasis, isn't it just the cutest?
I have no idea who makes these papers. I bought them at the Papeterie and they were taken from a pad and there is no name on the back of the sheets, sorry. I can tell you that I got them for 50p a sheet though for a 12x12.
Flowers are a mix from my stash, sentiment done on the puter. Cricut die cut swirl was from Linnie and lace from my stash. I used my classic scalloped circle nesties to cut the 3 circles and embossed them too.
Now if you would like to win some fab images from Digital Stamp Oasis, then all you have to do is make something, a card, LO, or anything else you fancy with the sketch and use a digital Image on it. The image can be from any company, no restrictions there so what are you waiting for? Ellie is giving away 3 images from her store for the winner. You can check out all DSO's images if you click on the link in my sidebar.
Right I'm off to get the kids to school and nursery. See you all later

Some awards

I have been lucky enough to receive 2 awards :)
The first one is from Vikki. I am so sorry I have taken so long to post this hun but I do really appreciate you passing this award on to me.

There is a twist to receive this award you must tell one fact about yourself that nobody knows.
Now I have thought about this really hard and I'm sorry but some things are just not for posting on a blog lol. Only joking. So one fact about me is that I am so scared of spiders that when I see one I shout on Barry or my 11 year old son to come get rid of it and won't go back in the room untill I know for sure they have caught it. When I lived on my own before I had kids, I once saw a big spider in my house but when my friends went looking for it, it has dissapeared. I wouldn't go back into the house and stayed with a friend that night incase it crawled on me while I was sleeping ! I know how stupid that sounds but I really am that scared of them lol.
My skin is crawling just thinking about it !!! Right enough spider talk.

My second award is from the lovely Helen, thank you sweetie x

Squigglefly challenge #4

Good morning ladies. It's time for another Squigglefly challenge.
This week it's Rhonda's team who are featured on the Squigglefly blog but you can see the rest of the design tea
ms cards on their own blogs.
This weeks challenge is a simple sketch. You can put the scalloped cicle in any corner.

I just noticed when I uploaded this that I haven't put a sentiment on the circle...oops, sorry Rhonda. It's not as though there was lots of detail and I missed that bit, that was the only detail and I missed it! Ah well you win some you lose some lol.
My card is really plain and simple and I really had to try hard not to fill the spaces with embelishments but I had to have a flower somewhere, so layered some on top of the scalloped circle that I cut with my Nestabilities.
The flowers are a mix of ones I have had in my stash for a long time, spacer is from my local bead shop, papers and brad are all Papermania and of course the cute image is from Squigglefly.
When I was cutting the image out, I cut through ther kite string so I just cut out the kite and the mouse seprate and cut out the little bows, then used some sparkly purple string and stuck the bows on. I think I like it better like this. This way you can have your kite and mouse in any position you want to fit your card :)
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have time to join in with the challenge this week. Please do remember to visit the other girls blogs too for some more inspiration.
That's it from me for just now.

Hugs Lora x
