Dewdrop Craftz meets Charisma

The challenge over at Charisma Cardz this week is mythical/fantasy so I just had to use one of my images from Dewdrop Craftz .
I think I went a bit too purple with this card lol, but it's on the challenge blog now so might as well show it here too!

The image is called Sorcerer and is by designer CupuDOTexe and I knew she would be just perfect for this weeks challenge.
I coloured her with the usual Promarkers and cut her out then stuck her on some paper by Bo Bunny which is actualy a Christmas paper but you wouldn't think it, would you? I wrapped some funky fibres around the paper before sticking the image on, just to give it some texture. It looks much better in real life though.
I got the fibres from Janlynn.com.
The other paper I am  not sure of as I have had it for ages and there was only a little bit left from a 12x12 sheet..
Ribbon was from my stash, and the flower and pearl sprays are from Hobbycraft. They were originaly white but I coloured them with a Promarker to match my image.

Here's a better look at that fab image.

That's it from me today, I will be back tomorrow to announce the winner of  my followers candy, so if you haven't entered yet then this is your last chance! and I will have some mor cnady to post tomorrow too, so remember to stop by and see what I am giving away this fortnight! :)

Thanks for stopping by

Dewdrop Craftz Sale!!

I made a quick card today with one of the gorgeous images from Dewdrop Craftz. If you haven't checked out their digi images, where have you been??? They have some fab manga style images which I love and also some cutsie ones and other styles and until midnight tonight (Sunday GMT) all digis have 50% off the normal price!!
Yes that's right, EVERY DIGI in the Dewdrop Craftz store is half price! So  if you have had your eye on any images, now is the time to go get them and make the most of the sale :)

As I said I made a quick card, so here it is.

I have used the gorgeous "Goth Mizu" image by designer CupuDOTexe and coloured her with my Promakers. I know you would normaly associate goth's with darker colours, but I decided to do her in pink this time and I think she looks great. So really although she is supposed to be a goth, you can make her very girly too :)
The base paper I used is by Doodlebug Designs, spotty strip is by Bo Bunny and the grey is coredinations.
Some ribbon from Hobbycrafts and some Primas and pearls from my stash to finish.

I think this has got to be my fave image :)

Now what  you waiting for? Get yourself over to Dewdrop Craftz and pick up a bargain!
Oh and if you haven't entered my followers mini candy yet,why not do it before you go? All you have to do is leave me a comment on the candy post (which you will find below this one) and on at least one other post before the candy runs out (you have loads of time) and if you fancy, you could add my little banner to your sidebar, that would be great, but not necessary for a chance to win. And that's it..... well of course you have to be a follower or else it wouldn't be a followers candy lol, but if you are noto  one already,  you can always start following me now :) And remember I will have one every fortnight, so lots of chances to win.

Right, got to go and do the By the Cute and Girly post for tomorrows new challenge. If you haven't entered this month, you have till tonight to get your entries in.

Thanks for stopping by. I love to read you comments, so please take a  minute to say hello and let me  know you have been here and then I can come visit you :)

By The Cute and Girly "Bling It on"

I am really late in posting my dt cards that I made for this month's By The Cute and Girly challenge, because I made them thinking that I could borrow my son's camcorder to take pics of them, but that plan went out the window because he couldn't find the usb cable to connect it to my computer!!.... so I had to wait till I bought a new camera before I could take some pics because they wouldn't scan as I put flowers on them.
Anyway I have a new camera now and managed to get some pics, but they were taken at night, so they are not very good, but at least I can show them now!

The challenge this month is set by our newest DT member Tammy and it's "Bling It On".
We are sponsored this month by our regular monthly sponsors, Simon Says Stamp and Joanna Sheen and our own Geraldine is sponsoring again this month with a gift certifiacate to spend in her etsy store, Little Snippets.
We also have a new digital sponsor this month- My Grafico who are giving away one of their fab digi stamp sets and also 20% off an order in store. My Grafico also gave the design team one of  their digi sets to work with this month. It's a really girly one and was just perfect for the challenge :)
It's called Stick Fairies and the deisgner is Stockberry Studio and I used one of  the fairies on my first card.

As I said the image is from My Grafico and I colured her with Promarker and used loads of Stickles.
The butterfly paper is Papermania, and I used the other side of it for the scalloped border which I done with a Fiskars puch. The other paper is some I pinched from my Daughter Rhianna (I know I am terrible stealing from a 7 year old lol, but it's really pretty!) and is by Best Creation Inc.
Flowers which I also covered with stickles, are all from Janlynn.com, except the largest rose which is from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon/lacey stuff (actually I have no idea what it is lol) is from Hobbycraft, and the bead spray thing is from a local florist warehouse... I must get more of these because I think this is my last one and they are so pretty.

A close up of the image and flowers so you can see the sparkle a bit better :)

I have no idea about the papers on this one, the blue one is from a 12x12 sheet that was already cut into and no name left on it, and the other 3 are from a paper pad that I have had a while but put it away and I can't remember who makes it.... had a quick look but I can't find it...sorry.
The image is from Dewdrop Craftz and is coloured with Promarkers and I smothered it in stickles lol.
Flowers are a mix from my stash.. white roses are fro Janlynn.com, pink one I think is a Prima and the other is one I made ages ago from some scraps of digi papers, I think they could be by Summer Driggs and are punched with the SU! 5 petal punch and a Dovecraft punch and I used a tiny spacer in teh centre. I covered the flowers in stickles and added some pearl heart that I got in the works.

You can see the stickles on her a bit better here, but it really sparkles in real life, think I went a bit overboard on the stickles with these 2 cards lol.

I hope you will join in with this months challenge. It's a great chance to get your glitter and other blingy stuff out :) and of course you could win one of the 4 fab prizes!!

I haven't forgotten about my followers giveaway....... things have been a bit hectic here the last few days, but I promise I will announce the winner soon along with a new giveaway! :)

Thanks for stopping by

Finally some blog candy!!

This post is pinned to the top, please scroll down for more recent posts.

I finally have some candy to share!! Sorry I have taken forever to put this up but because my camera was broken, I couldn't get a pic of the goodies!
It was my 2nd blogaversary at the end of last month, so this is just so sweet stuff to celebrate 2 years of blogging :)
Some of the companies that I design for have been very generous and have gave me some goodies to give away, so a huge thank you to my dt "bosses" lol, you are all fab!! :)

Like most giveaways, there are a few rules, but I don't expect you to work your bum off just to get a chance to win lol :)

If you would like to become a follower (if you are not already of course), that would be fantastic, but only if you want to, it is not necessary to be entered into the draw.

The only "rule" is please copy my candy pic below (the first one) and put it in your sidebar with a link to let everyone know about my giveaway and then leave me a comment.
I was going to use a Linky thing again this time, but I much prefer to read comments and the link gadgets are not very reliable!
ETA: If you don't have a blog, you can still enter, just let a friend know about my candy instead :)
Remember to check back to see if you have won as unless you leave an email address, I will have no way of contacting you.

Oh and anyone can enter, and I will ship worldwide :)

Right so now that's all out of the way, here's what's up for grabs!!

There will be 2 prizes, 1 is "material" items and the other is digital.

So the first prize is from Janlynn.com, and I was told that there would be approx $50 worth of stuff, but I counted it up and there is about $80 (maybe more) worth of goodies here!!

So what's it the pic?? I know it's a really pants pic because I had to use a friends camera so here's a  list of what's all there. I have also added pics of the stamps and embelishments seperately below so you can see them a little better.

Wood Mounted Stamps Happen Red Throated Hummingbird Stamp (huge stamp!)
Wood Mounted Stamps Happen There's a Season Stamp (another big one)
Wood Mounted Stamps Happen Season's Greetings Stamp (never seen a greeting/sentiment stamp so big!!)
Wood Mounted Stamps Happen Bring Coffee Stamp (another big one)
Wood Mounted Stamps Happen Thank You Sentiment Stamp
Pack of Metal flower embelishments
Pack of purple flowers
Box of pink roses
Box of yellow roses
Box of red roses
Box of white roses
Green metallic 6 strand floss

And I forgot to get a pic of this, but there is also a tote bag featuring one of the stamps happen designs which says "Put your big girl panties on and deal with it!" lol. You can see this bag and most of the other products above excluding the flowers and metal embelishments if you click on the links :)

So it really is a craft goodie bag full of craftyness :)

Now the other prize is a mix of digital "stuff".

A $10 CAD Gift Certificate to spend at the Fred She Said Store!!

A £10 digi voucher to spend on digital images at Dewdrop Craftz!!

And 3 Digital Images of your choice from Digital Stamp Oasis!!

Good luck and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!
As it is Halloween today I just had to post aHalloween card :)
I don't send Halloween cards but I really enjoy making them and the Halloween images from Dewdrop Craftz are fab.

The lovely image is called Hallow and is of course from Dewdrop Craftz, isn't she pretty? As usual I coloured her with Promarkers and added some glossy accents to her wings and but I am having to use different paper to colour on than I normaly do as my local craft shop had none of my usual stuff in stock, and the glossy accents have made the colour bleed a bit, but it doesn't look that bad in real life.
The papers are a mix of ones I bough last year and this year and they are all by Bo Bunny. I'm not sure if any of them are new this year as my local craft shop doesn't take in much Halloween papers so they coudl all possibly be from last years collection.
As I am still having to scan my cards, I have been trying my hardest not to use flowers or bulky embelishments, so I just cut some of teh little characters from another Bo Bunny Halloween paper that I had some small scraps left over from another card I made and stuck them on.
I followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers, so I will be entering this card in their challenge.

I may be back later with some FSS cards, but if not I will be back in the morning with my By The Cute and Girly post.
If you haven't entered October's challenge at BTC&G, today is your last day to do so. The challenge is Spooky, so any last minute Halloween cards like this one would be perfect to enter.
The new challenge and winners will  be posted tomorrow morning and as always there will be some great prizes up for grabs!

Thanks for stopping by

Dewdrop Craftz DT card

I have finally got round to postng a card that I made with one of the fab Dewdrop Craftz images, which I made about a week ago!
I love their manage style images although I did find this one a little bit hard to colour but that's because my colouring is pants anyway lol.

I followed the sketch over at the Yahoo Stamp patch group and for a change I followed the sketch to the letter, well except from adding some flowers, but that's just typical of me because I don't think I could make a card without using flowers!

The papers are from a freebie pad I got in a magazine but I can't remember right now who makes it.
The images is of course from Dewdrop Craftz and is by the designer CupuDOTexe, this one is called Rori 4 and I coloured it with Promarkers.
If you love this kind of images, you will love all the other mangas at Dewdrops, they have a fab selection and if you are anything like I was, you won't just want one or two, you will want them all, so I must state here that I am in no way responsible for you having no money after your visit! lol

The last card I did with one of these images was purple as well.......hmmm no idea why because it's not a colour I normaly use but I just seem to go for purple every time I colour one of these.
Anyway I used some purple binding stuff which Barry found for me and I wasn't sure I would use it on anything but here it is. It looks a bit darker here than irl but that's just my rubbish photography skills and the fact that I took this pic late at night!

The spotty ribbon is from some I won over at the fabulous Kath's blog a while ago and I used a Fiskars punch for the scalloped strip underneath.
The flowers and fibres are all from Janlynn, but unfortunately they are discontinued, but you can find all sorts of other loveliness over there and great customer service too :)
The sentiment and frame thing it's stamped in are from a Stampendous clear stamp set (Ribbon Sliders) and I have a set for sale here on my blog exactly the same.
I used the ribbon slider stamp just with the sentiment on it's own, but it also goes nicely used with ribbon or the ribbon stamps that come in the set.

That's it from me for now. I will be back tomorrow for Digital Tuesday.
Hope you are all having a fab Monday even though it's the worst day of the week!! and thanks so much for stopping by.

2nd post today!!

I already had this card made earlier but I was waiting for my camera to charge so I could take a photo of it.
This is one I made with an image from Dewdrop Craftz. I saw one of their images on a blog the other day and just had to go have a look at them. I love anime sytle images and their anime images are fab!!

I just couldn't get a good photo of this because the spotty card is really shimmery and it just reflected the light. It is actually a silvery colour irl. I got it from a friend so I am not sure who makes it, but I do know that the purple one is by Chatterbox.
The image as I said is from Dewdrop Craftz by CupuDOTexe is called FuwaFuwa. I coloured her with Promarkers but I'm not very happy with her hair colouring because I only have a few browns markers just now and they are not very similar shades so it was hard to blend. I want to try her with black hair but I still need to get some more grey markers as I only have 2 greys which are both quite light. I haven't been using Promarkers that long, so I don't have all the colours I would like yet but I am collecting them a little at a time :)

The large rose is from John Lewis and was originaly a light cream but I inked the edges with some lilac ink, the tiny rose buds are fom Joanna Sheen's website and I sprayed them all with glimmer mist.
The glass bead wire spray thing is from a local florist warehouse. I must get more of these because they are so pretty in real life :)
The two hearts were handcut from some mulberry kind of paper that I found while looking for something else lol, and the pearls and gems are from my stash.

Wow that was a long post for one card wasn't it?!
Thanks for popping past, I really do appreciate all my visitors and I love to read your comments :)
