Digital Tuesday DT, and a few pics of the kiddies

Good morning, I hope you are all ready for Christmas unlike me who still has half of her shopping to do lol. It's another blizzard here in Scotland........I am sooo sick of snow already lol.
The weather forecast this morning said it will snow until Christmas Eve then on Christmas and Boxing Day it will be sunshine......go figure. I just know that I don't like the cold and especially when it's -10 like last night.

Anyway it's time for another Digital Tuesday challenge and I have another quick make to show you and some pics of my 2 girls, so this is gonna be a long post. Mind you I haven't posted for a week so I really should have lots more to show but I don't because I forgot to take pics before I gave stuff away. Bet your glad about that lol.

Right the new challenge this week is "Let It Snow" and Michelle P is our hostess this week. She wants to see lots of snowflakes. Dustin Pike is back again this month as our sponsor with 3 of his digis to give to our winner.
I made an easel card for a change (my first one too) but I'm afraid the pics are terrible (did you expect anything else from me lol). I also followed the sketch over at Sketch and Stash.

I love how easy these cards are to make. I know I will bore you with these from now on lol.
I used Stampin Up papers again and a SU sentiment too. This one is from a hostess set and it's one of my favourites. The image is by Soft Pencil (which is my new stash for sketch and stash) and I coloured with the usual Copics and covered it in Dazzling Diamonds glitter and twinklets (Diamond Dust), the image weights a ton with all the twinklets I put on lol. You can't really see all the sparkle in that pic so here's another one of just the front when the card is closed.

Hopefully you can see the sparkle of the glitter and I know you can see the twinklets on the ground because I used loads lol.
Oh for my snowflakes, I have lots of snowflakes all over my papers and I punched some snowflakes from acetate and covered with Twinklets, with a pearl in the middle to finish.

I hope some of you will be able to join in with this weeks challenge in the middle of all the festivities. I know I will be doing some challenges this week when the kids are playing with their new toys (after I have had to build them and put in all the batteries etc of course). Although I have got Liam a few cool toys that I may just have to play with first lol.
The Digital Tuesday challenge will not be taking a break over Christmas so for those of you who like to still make cards over Christmas and New Year, you can still join in with our challenges as normal :)

Right onto my next make (I told you this was a really long post). I made a quick pocket thing to go over a bottle of booze (or any other bottle you wish, but I think I am going to use it on a bottle of Bacardi for my MIL....yuck I hate Bacardi lol. I have no idea what I will put in the pocket though because she doesn't really like sweets, except Brazil Nuts which I have bought for her but they won't fit lol, so any suggestions welcome :)

Obviously this should be hanging from a bottle but I haven't bought it yet (I am so un organised aren't I ?)
The directions for this are on Splitcoast Stampers but it is really easy to make. This is the first time I have made one and it only took about 10 minutes to make, except the little mouse mouse which I paper pieced.
I just used some plain shimmer card stock for the base and red shimmer card for the mat and a lovely die cut that Piali sent me. I saw some lovely ornaments that she made on her blog with these die cuts and she sent me some so I could make some ornaments but I haven't had time to yet......sorry Piali, I promise I wll try to make them.
The little House Mouse image is one I bought last year and this is the first time I have used it.
I am out of red Copics and I wanted the bauble and his hat to be red so I paper pieced it with the same red card and some kraft paper for the mousie. I also used some dazzling diamonds on the bauble and fur of his hat but as usual my photography skills are pants and you can't see that.

Now I promise I am nearly done but as promised here's a few pics of the girls from yesterday. They got their face painted and wanted to show you all their lovely rainbow butterfly faces, although Rhianna had smudged hers on her forehead by the time I got to take pics lol. The woman put glitter on top of the face paints too and it looked really pretty but you can't see it in the pics, so just imagine you can see the sparkle lol. They are just some quick snaps I took last night when we got home, so not really good photo's (as in the quality but that's nothing new for me) and I really should of fixed the red eyes but never mind, they are still cute :)

This is my 6 year old Rhianna. See what I mean about the smudged bit? A bit of a shame because it was really pretty but she did manage to keep the rest in tact all night :)
I have no idea why she is holding up a Christmas bauble lol. I think she was getting tried of the cat knocking them all off the tree. I think this is the first pic I have shown of her after she got her teeth out. keep singing to her "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" lol, bless her, she just laughs at me.

And this is my 4 year old Chiara. She's normally really shy so it's really hard to get a photo of her smiling like this. By the way their hair doesn't normally look like this, they had just took off their hats and just put their hair behind their ears so I could see the face paint lol.

And here's one of them both together. Just because I think they look cute :) Please excuse Chiara's lunch down her top though lol. Well they wouldn't be happy kids if they didn't get dirty would they? lol

And that's it from me. I hope you are not ready to sleep after that huge post lol.
I should be back tomorrow with a card and if anyone had any ideas for last minute gifts I could make (trying to save on the pennies as I still have loads of pressies left to get) then I may have something else to show too. I have still to get gifts for Barry's mum, dad and sister and her boyfriend and also for Barry, some for my kids (the girls and my 11 year old son) and something for Liam's dad as he will be here on Christmas morning too. OMG I just realised how much I still have to get (insert loads of exclamation marks here, because my exclamation key has broke lol). So any ideas would be gratefully received.
