Fred She Said does Digital Tuesday.

I went to the craft shop this afternoon and just got back so a bit late with my DT card but better late than never. I only got some ds tape and a few papers but the girls were with me and I ended up buying a charm bracelet set each instead of buying stuff for myself! The sets have a few packs of plastic beads and about 15 metal charms (which I think I may have to pinch some of lol) and they were reduced to £3 each so a few pounds and that will keep them entertained for a bit tonight :)

So onto the card. The challenge this week is to make a humorous male card!! Now I find it hard enough to make male cards but to make it funny as well!! I had no idea what to do, but fortunately for me Tracey from Fred She Said has just released the set I used on my card yesterday (the shrugger girl) and it has a boy version too with some funny sentiments, so lucky for me and you, I didn't have to think up my own words and you don't have to read them! Believe me you wouldn't want to hear my jokes because they are terrible lol.

The papers are all Stampin Up! and I used a SU! punch to add some interest to the middle strip, then noticed after I stuck it down that my card was upside down lol, so the strip is the wrong way up pmsl. I couldn't take it off without ripping the paper underneath so just left it the way it was.
The image as I said is from Fred She Said (link in my sidebar) and was coloured with pencils and oms. The wording is all from the same set.

Here's the inside so you can see that I am really not that mean lol.

I used the same layout and stuck the strip upside down on purpose this time to match the front lol. The wording is also from the same FSS set.
You really have to check out the FSS store as Tracey has been working her socks off and is churning out all these fab images.

I hope you will join in with the challenge and let us see all your funny male cards. I know that I will really enjoy looking at all the entries this week (well I do every week but even more so this week) and getting ideas for the dreaded male cards.

Thanks for stopping by

Fred She Said first challenge! and Cute Daisy May vintage style

Good morning everyone, hope you all had a great weekend. It goes too fast doesn't it?!
Anyway today is the 25th and that means time for the first Fred She Said challenge!
And the challenge for this month is .......to use the header and background of the challenge blog as the inspiration for your card.
You must use a FSS image to enter but don't worry if you don't have any yet there are loads of freebies in the store that you can use. Check then out here
And the best bit is the prize of course, which is a $20 (CAD) gift certificate to spend at the FSS store!!! How cool is that!?

Right onto my card then. The blog is green and purple with some of Fred's flowers, so I used the colours (once I eventually found some papers of that colours in my stash that is!).

I used the shrugger girl and one of the sentiments from the same set. There is loads of fun sentiments in this set but I just used the Happy Birthday and will write something inside to match the image as I have something in mind for the person I will give this too.
I coloured her with my Polychromos pencils which I am really loving now (thanks for the tips Tracey!) and the flowers are also coloured with my pencils and oms. The flowers I used are the new point daisies. I cut down in between the petals and used my embossing toll to give them some shape.
The purple paper is Bassil bling and the dp is by K&Co. I hand stitched the papers for a change just because I found some green embroidery thread while I was looking for something else lol. Ribbon is from my local craft shop (Holburn Crafts in Aberdeen) and everything else is from my stash.
Oh the stamp I used on the scalloped circle mat is a little clear Stag 'em stamp which I won months ago in a blog candy and this is the first time I have used it. I think it will get another outing now though because I quite like it :)
I hope you will join in with the first challenge. You have a whole month to enter so plenty of time to get a card done. But you have to go check out the other DT girls cards on the challenge blog now because I just went and had a look and wow there is so much eye candy!

Right my other card is another DT one, this time for Cute Daisy May. The challenge this week is vintage.
I love the vintage style and love trying to create vintage cards (trying being the key word here!!) but my cards never turn out looking vintage lol.
I had loads of fun making this one though and I think it kind of turned out vintage. I will let you decide though.

I have used this sweet little Daisy from sheet 134 which you cam find at the CDM store here and coloured her with Polychromos pencils and oms then inked all around the edges of the image with distress ink.
The papers are K&Co again. Sorry I know I have been using K&C o on almost every card lately but I can't help it, they just call out "use me, use me" very time I go to make a card lol.
I have distressed and inked all the edges of the papers (maybe a bit much lol).
The flowers which have also been lightly inked and sprayed with iridescent gold glimmer mist are a mix again, the large rose is from Hobbycraft, the little white ones (well were white before I got my hands on them!) are from the Works and the tiny pink ones are from Joanna Sheen's website. Hat pin and key charm are both from my stash and the ticket thing is from a sheet of French postmarks that I downloaded ages ago but can't remember where from. I don't normally download stuff like that but for some reason I thought I would use it. I can't remember what my original plan for them was but they came in handy for this :)
I just cropped the bit of the sheet I wanted to use, printed out, inked it a bit, then scrumpled it up a lot and inked some more so the ink would go into the creases.
I must admit that I was about crying with the thought of distressing the K&Co papers because they are so pretty in real life lol, but I have a few spares so I managed to bring myself to do it lol.

The other DT girls have done a fab job as always so why not pop over to the challenge blog to see all their cards too?

Now I'd better get busy with other DT stuff. I still have a few bits to do for next months By The Cute and Girly challenge, so got to get cracking with that. By the way you still have this week to get your entries in for that too. The theme for January is "New" so loads of options there, new baby, new home, new job, wedding, well you get the picture lol. Remember you can enter using any craft and as much times as you like as long as you have done a different craft each time (for exampled a card, a lay out, an altered item, knitting, jewelry etc) and there are some great prizes to be won too!

Thanks for stopping by today. Please do leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my cards, especially the Cute Daisy May one, I would love to know what you think of my vintage efforts lol Your comments mean a lot to me and although I don't always have time to come visit you, I love to sit and read your comments. It really makes it all worthwhile when people take the time to comment, even if it's just to say hi :)

FSS Spotlight, WOJ GDT Call and a challenge!

It's time for another spotlight over on the FSS blog and this week it's my turn!
I got some cute little heart boxes the other day from Hobbycraft and thought I would decorate one for my spotlight.

I bought this gorgeous K&Co paper the other day and thought it would be perfect for covering this box.
If you want to read more about how I altered it, you can read the original post over at FSS (link above), but basically I just covered the whole thing with the paper, sanded and inked the edges and printed out cute little Rosie and coloured her with my Polychromos pencils and OMS. This was my very first attempt at using the pencils!!
I finished it off with some stringed pearls and that's it really. I didn't want to add more embellishments as it's only a small box and I didn't want to hide Rosie or the pretty papers.

Another pic of just the lid so you ca see the cute doggie :)

There will be spotlights on the design team every week so remember to check out Fred She Said every Wednesday!

Now I have 2 cards to show today as well.
The first one is for the Whiff of Joy Guest DT call. (you never know if you don't try right?)
I followed the sketch and this is what I came up with.

The papers are K&Co, and although they are not the kind of colours I would normally go for, I really like them. Some bits are glittered and other bits are embossed or shiny so they have a lot of texture which you can't really see in the pic but they look kinda funky in real life lol.
The sweet image is of course a Whiff Of Joy, sentiment is Stampin Up! and everything else is from my stash.
I found the gold bead sprays in my stash yesterday and forgot I had them so you will be seeing a lot of these until I run out lol. They are really pretty in real life.
I coloured my image with Pholychromos pencils again and think I am getting a bit better :)

My last card is for the Quixotic challenge which is a sketch by Judy.

A good friend sent me this stamp a while ago (thanks again hun xx) and I don't think I have ever posted a card on my blog made with it so I had to remedy that! (I have made a card with it before though)
I coloured Tilda again with my pencils and OMS, can you tell I am liking using them lol.
The base paper is a Papermania one and I think the other two are by K&Co but I'm not 100% sure. I bought them in single sheets and they don't have any names on them but they were in the same pile as other K&Co ones so I think that's who makes them.
The pretty rose is from Hobbycraft and another one of those metal spray things. Told you that you would be seeing them again lol.

Well I think that's it from me for today. If you haven't joined in with the Fred She Said blog hop you still have time. It ends on the 22nd so you have time to have a good look at all the DT's fab projects and to enter for the chance to win the new releases. You can check out the hop post here.

Right I really am done now lol. Thanks for stopping by.

Digital Tuesday DT

I'm late posting another DT card! I was supposed to post this one this morning but I just totally forgot about it...oops. Oh well better late than never!
The challenge this week is a sketch by Suzie and we are sponsored by the Cutting Cafe. Regina also gave the DT some of her images to work with.

Here's what I came up with. The pic is really bad because I took it last night because I forgot to take a pic yesterday morning before I went shopping. (not like me is it!! lol)

The cute fairy image is from Stretch N Bubbles which I won over at Cute Card Thursday last week, and the heart tree and sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe.
Papers are Stampin Up! and the pearls and ribbon are from my stash.
I coloured the images with Polychromos pencils and OMS. This was my second time using them (I will be posting my very first attempt tomorrow) and I need loads of practice but I had loads of fun colouring with them :) It takes a lot longer than colouring with Copics though and I can see me using my Copics if I need to colour an image quick, but I really like them so I'm going to keep at it and hopefully I will improve!
I'm actually kind of glad that my photo is so blurry because it hides how bad the colouring really is lol.

Right I'm off to finish some other DT work. I will be back in the morning with a few cards.
Thanks for stopping by. I know I haven't been visiting everyone much lately but things should be back to normal soon and you won't be able to get rid of me ;)

Late for the Sugar Bowl...again!!

I made a card with Lilian's sketch at the Sugar Bowl a few days ago but forgot to post it ...duh! lol, so I'm too late for the challenge but thought I would post it here anyway. I wasn't sure when I looked at the sketch and thought my card would turn out terrible but I had loads of fun making it and I don't think it turn out too bad :) I will let you be the judge of that though!

One of the papers is Stampin Up but I'm not sure about the other one, I got it about a year ago in a pack I bought off Ebay. I got about 80 or 90 12x12 papers for about £8 and there were quite a few in the pack that I didn't like and this was one of them but I'm determined to use up the stash that I have before buying more (basically because I can't afford to buy more just now lol), so it got used and it's kinda growing on me.
The Sugar Nellie image was one I coloured ages ago (with Copics) so I had to try find papers that matched the colours I had used on her, but it didn't really work out that way lol.
I'm getting really tired of having to buy new Copics or ink for them so I bought some Polychromos pencils the other day and am going to use them for a while and see how I get on with them. I figure at least they will last a bit longer than markers but I will see how bad I am with them first before I say if I will give up on the Copics all together lol.
The big rose I used was from Hobbycraft and the tiny ones were from Joanna Sheen's website. The little bow with the heart is another old Ebay buy and the pin and pearl are from my stash.
I wanted to do some swirly bits on it (no idea why! lol), but I don't have any of those sticky on ones like the ones Prima do, so I just stuck on some tiny pearls individually to make some swirls. Why do I get these silly ideas in my head?? It took me forever to stick them all on lol, and they weren't self adhesive ones either so I had to glue them all on one by one!! I would say I will never do thta again but knowing me, I will never learn!!

Here's a close up of Daisy, just because I was playing about with my camera settings to see if I could get a better pic indoors lol.

Right I'd better get myself off to bed so I don't sleep in for the kids school in the morning!
Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome to the first "FRED SHE SAID" blog hop!!! If you just happen to drop by my blog and you are not aware of this wonderful event taking place, please go back to the "FRED SHE SAID" blog here and start your hop!

While your there you can check out all the new releases!! I have used one on my card today which I will show in a min but first here's the rules for t he hop.

You need to visit all the design team members blogs and collect a special code word from each one then when you have collected them all you need to email DEANNE with the whole phrase
and your name will go in for a draw for the 4 newest releases -Flowers, Doodledallion, Empty Pockets, and Smelling the Cherry Blossoms!! How cool is that??

The hop will run from today (15th Jan) - 22nd and the w
inner will be anounced on the FSS blog on the 23rd, so remember to check back then.

Here's my card made with Smelling the Cherry Blosso
ms. Tracey has also made some papers to "match" this image but I had already made my card before she made them so you will have to pop over to the FSS shop to see them.

I decided to make a step card for a change to show off the pretty image and flowers.
The Kimono girl image has been coloured with copics and I coloured the blossoms with a very light purple Copic then inked the edges with a darker purple and sprayed them with glimmer mist. The larger one have some pearls in the middle.

The butterflies are from another FSS set and I just printed them out then covered them with glitter and stuck them onto a piece of acetate so they would be 'flying' :)
Thye paper is the reverse side of a K&Co paper.

Here's a close up showing the image and some of the elements a bit better. I just love those butterflies :) lol

The word you need from me is SHE. Now hop along to Maria's blog and see what wonderful creation she has made.

Here's a list with the order of the blog hop just incase you get lost along the way :)

Digital Tuesday DT card and CDM DT a day late!

Good morning, I hope the weather is getting a bit warmer wherever you are. The snows has thawed a bit here and everywhere is covered in ice, but it's forecast for more snow today so looks like I will still have to keep the thermal knickers on lol (I am just kidding, I don't really wear them lol, only because I don't have any pmsl).
I was -12 c the other night!! and it's went up to 4 today so at least it's not so cold but I still hate it!

Right before I get those thermal knickers in a twist over the weather, here's my DT card for Digital Tuesday. The challenge this week has been set by the lovely Shelly (Jaspere) and she wants to see embossing on your card.
Our sponsor this week is our very own Ellie who is giving 3 digital images of the winners choice from her Digital Stamp Oasis store.

I did do quite a bit of embossing on this card but then I went and hid it all lol.
The papers are K&Co and I embossed the scalloped circle with the cuttlebug swiss dots folder and the 2 squares and the border strip are both embossed with ......em can't remember the name?? a flowery cuttlebug folder, but I hid most of the strip with the squares and then hid the squares with all my flowers! I'm sure you can see that I did emboss though??
I started by following the sketch at Moving Along With The Times, but I kind of got a bit carried away and added some bits that aren't in the sketch, like the border strip lol.
The also have a theme of LOVE, so I did managed to stick to that lol. I don't think this will qualify for the challenge, but I will link it anyway since I followed the sketch first then added to it.
The cute image of course is a Cute Daisy May and the flowers aer a mix from Tabby Crafts, Hobby craft and little roses I think were from the Works. Some of them are sprayed with glimmer mist. The 2 little pink branch punches I think are from the MS branch punch but I actually got them from a bloggy friend and she also gave me the punched border, which I love by the way and really want that punch!

Now my second card is yesterdays Cute Daisy May DT card. I don't know why, but I just totally forgot to post it here yesterday.
So here it is a day late *blush* sorry Linnie! The theme is ribbons and flowers, just my kind of challenge :)

I have some of Linnie's newest images which I was going to use for this one, but my ink ran out as I was printing them so I had to go hunt for one I had already printed and I found this one which I had already coloured, so had to go look for papers to match and just couldn't find anything. Pink is one of my fave colours, but as I found out when I made this card, I don't have that much pink papers (probably because I went through a pink phase and used them al!), so I will have to sort that out by going shopping :)
I eventually came across the pink paper by DCWV and it was quite a good match to the pink in the image but i only had a small piece of it, so used that for the two strips and some green paper from the same pad. They do look a lot brighter here than irl though.
I followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday for this one, but kind of tweaked it a bit to fit in with what materials I had as the ribbon was a bit of a problem too. It seems that I have also ran out of pink ribbon as well (I know who has went off with that though!! Rhianna was looking very suspicious lol).
I wanted to use some proper ribbon instead of lace because the challenge was to use ribbon (although I think lace would count?), so I added a little bow as well.
The flowers are a mix from my stash, Tabby Crafts and Primas.
The flowers are a mix of one from my stash, Primas and Tabby Crafts.
I used my Fiskars sacalloped border punch on the two strips and the mat which Daisy is on was one from a kit.

Right I'm off to catch up with some DT commenting. I have loads to do!!
Oh just a reminder that you still have loads of time to enter By The Cute and Girly challenge.
Remember you can enter with any craft you like, from paper crafting to knitting , or you could even cook a tasty dish :) As long as it fits the challenge theme which is "NEW", so new baby, new home, wedding, engagement, new car.......new anything, you get the picture.
I know there's a lot of challenges out there just now with the new theme as well, so why not combine them? Of course there is some fab prizes to be one and you can enter as much times as you like throughout the month as long as each entry is a different craft, for example, you could enter with a card, then a Lay out, then jewelry, then bake something etc etc. So really you could potentially enter loads of times and have a better chance of winning :)
And if you haven't checked out the blog already, you should pop over and see what the design team have made, there is loads of eye candy there!

Right I promise I am going to stop talking now lol.
Thanks for stopping today.

Fred She Said New Release and some news!

Hope you are all staying warm today! I haven't left the house today and don't plan to over the weekend either! Last night it was freezing here, well it's freezing today as well, but last night it was -12 c!!! I mean what kind of weather is that?? I keep expecting to see a penguin or a polar bear when I look out the window!! lol speaking of penguins, I have a funny story to tell you, but will leave it till later because this is gonna be a long post as it is.
So lets get on with the crafty stuff.

It's all going on over at Fred She Said! Tracey has been busy making loads of "pretties" as she calls them, and some are being released today :)
So I've made a card with one of the new sets. This one is the V6 Daisies with bracket borders set.
As usual Tracey has packed this set full with lots of different variations, but if you want to see them all, you will have to go check it out over at the store here. She also has a stained glass floral doodledallion which has just been put up in the store today too and you can check that one out here.
I followed the sketch over a Allsorts for this one and they also have the theme of old or new, so I thought this was the perfect challenge to use my new FSS images for :)
Another shock horror moment from me.......I haven't used any Copics on this card, not one copic in sight!! For the daisies and leaves I just rubbed over them with some blue and green inks then cut down the lines on them, curled them with a bone folder (because I had it next to me and I'm too lazy to go get my embossing tool lol) to give them some shape. I just finished them off with a spacer and pearl from my stash.
The border is all coloured with glitter crystal lacquer. Tracey has very cleverly sized these borders so they can be cut with your nesties, but I don't have any label nesties so I just cut them out with good old fashioned scissors :)
The papers are K&Co and DCWV and other bits are from my stash.

Here's a close up of the border and flowers.

Now for more FSS news! We now have a challenge blog!! The challenges will be posted on the last Monday of the month. There will be a draw for a free FSS image on FEB 1st for our followers so get yourself over there and start following now so you are in with a chance :)
And talking about freebies, there is a HUGE list on the challenge blog with all the links to previous FSS freebies, which will also be updated as new freebies are added.
And we are having a blog hop on the 15th of this month so you will see even more new releases then too. I have a few projects to show you with them but you will have to wait till the blog hop. I just know you will love them.

So that's all the FSS news for now but I also made another challenge card following the sketch over at Stamp Something.

I got this image as a rak from a friend and I love it but I only had one and kind of wished I had waited till I had more Copics because I was limited to the amount of colours I could use. So I haven't really blended my colouring much because I only have about 10 pens that actually work! I have about 150 pens but they are all out of ink :( Some of those are Ciao's (which is what I started out with) and some sketch so I think I will just buy sketch ones now and get the refills because they run out sooo quick.
Anyway, I am quite happy with how the rest of the card turned out though and Rhianna loves it too so think this might be one for her.
The papers are Papermania and the flowers are a mix of ones from Joanna Sheens website, Hobby House and others from my stash. I inked the edges of the big rose and the other flowers in the bottom right corner so they coordinated with the rest and then sprayed them all with glimmer mist, added some punched leaves and a few pearls from my stash dotted here and there.

Right that's it from me for today. I will be back tomorrow with another card. or maybe even tonight because I have nothing else to do, well except email do some blog hopping to see what you have all been up to :)
Thanks for stopping by.

Digital Tuesday. I Heart You

Well the kids were due to go back to school today but the schools are closed so another day off for them, and by the looks of the weather, it doesn't look like the school will be open tomorrow either. Not that I mind though because it means that I don't have to walk in the snow to take them ther :)

The challenge over at Digital Tuesday is to make a Valentine and our sponsor this week is Shirley's 2 girls who also gave the design team the cute elephant image I have used on my card.
I really must remember to take pic during the day because this one is really bad. But never mind, I know you didn't expect anything different from me lol.

The glittery paper is by K&Co and I used the cuttlebug love hearts embossing folder on some white cardstock.
My image is coloured with Copics but I am really disapointed with how it turned out because my pens are running out (as usual) and I couldn't get them to blend, but in the end I just gave up and left it as it was.
I printed the image out twice and cut out all the little hearts on the 2nd one so I could layer them on top of the base image for a bit of dimension. The sentiment is also from Shirleys 2 girls.
Swirl punch is an All Night Media one and ribbon is from my stash.

I have a few DT bits to get done but I think I will take some time out in a little while so I can go visit all your blogs and see what you have been up too.
Thanks for stopping by

Cute Daisy May- Love

It's challenge time over at Cute Daisy May and the theme to start off the year is LOVE.
Linnie has some really sweet Valentines sheets and it took me ages to choose which image to use for this challenge but in the end I went with sweet little birdies.
I followed the sketch over at Cute Card Thursday and I have to confess that I did something really silly yesterday lol. The FSS card that I made yesterday was made with the sketch from Sketch Saturday and I said in my post that it was Cute Card Thursday and I even linked my card there lol, I feel sooo stupid to say the least. (I have now changed my post to include the right challenge). So
Anyway moving swiftly on, here's the card I made.

Aren't these little birdies just the sweetest? I coloured them with the usual copics and inked the edges with some blue ink.
The papers are K&Co and lace and pearls are from my stash.
Right I'm off to go link this card to the challenge blog now lol.

Fred She Said DT

Well it's back to school for the kids tomorrow and I am dreading it. I know most parents can't wait for their kids to go back to school but the girls school is quiet a distance away when you don't have a car (so is Liam's but he goes there himself so it doesn't make any odds to me lol) and I have to take them there in this blooming snow. I wish they didn't have to go to school when it's cold lol.
So today I am making the most of my last lazy day, well as lazy as it gets when you have to run around after 3 kids lol, and having a cardmaking day. Mainly so I can get all my DT stuff done but also so I can do some challenges because I haven't really been doing much challenges this last few months.
So my card this morning is a Fred She Said DT card and I also followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday so I'm entering it there.

I haven't used any designer paper on this one, shock horror lol. Instead I used a piece of dark purple shimmery cardstock and stamped all over with an Anna Griffin background stamp then heat embossed with Antique Sparkle embossing powder. This was so hard to get a pic of as the light kept bouncing off the embossing.
The lovely images is of course a Fred She Said. This is Emma with her frills on, isn't she just the sweetest?
You get 2 versions of Emma, with our without the posie of flowers and Tracey has also done some tiny flowers on their own too so you can have Emma holding a different posie.
The flowers I have used as embelishments are also FSS from the Pointy Petals Pack and I printed them on lilac cardstock then stamped and embossed them with the same stamp. There is just so much you can do with these digi flowers and they are much more cost effective than Primas or other store bought ones because you can print as much or as little as you want and in any colour you want.
I finsihed off with a few pearls from my stash and punched some corners with a Mcgill decorative corner punch then cut it out to give me 2 corners I could stick on.

Tracey has been working hard on new stuff and there is going to be some changes over at FSS, which I will tell you about as soon as I know all the details but for now, why don't you hop on over to the store and get yourself some Fred?

I may be back later with another card but if not, I will be back tomorrow with my DT card for Cute Daisy May.

Thanks for stopping by

By The Cute And Girly...New

Happy New Year everyone. Hope are all having a fabulous day.
It's time for another By The Cute and Girly challenge and this month the theme is "New"- new year, new baby, new house etc.
The girls have came up with some fabulous samples again this month so head on over to the challenge blog for lots of eye candy and inspiration.
I have 4 DT projects to show today so this will be a long post (just warning ya in case you want to run away now lol).

My first make is a new baby card.

I followed the sketch over at Mojo Monday which translated great onto a square card (the sketch uses a rectangle card base).
The image I used for this one is from Squigglefly and I coloured her with the usual Copics.
I can't remember where the papers are from but they are both from the same pack.
The chipboard embellishments are by Me and My Big Ideas and lace and velvet are from my stash.

The next make is a little wedding treat bag.

I found the instructions for this on Splitcoast Stampers and just tweaked it a little.
I used Kraft card from Stampin Up for the base and the designer paper is also SU, which I punched with my Fiskars border punch.
The handle is made using the SU scalloped border punch and although you can't see it in this pic, it does have a strip of the same designer paper on it too.
I just finished it off with some bits from my stash and a fancy Mcgill corner punch.

I also made a little wedding box, which is a little bit bigger than the bag. I'm not sure where the instructions for this box came from as I had just jotted the instructions down in my notebook ages ago and found it while tidying up, but I changed the measurements anyway because the ones I had wrote down didn't work very well.
No matter what I did I just couldn't get a photo of this that didn't look grainy.

I just used plain shimmery very light lilac cardstock for this and then stamped all over in white with an Anna Griffin background stamp then embossed with clear powder. It really shows up much better in real life. I just added a sticker from my stash to embellish as I wanted to keep it quite simple. I think I will go try get another pic of this now that there is light as I took it late last night.

My final project is some coasters that I altered. I did 2 sets (1 gold, 1 silver) but have only showed 1 of each colour so I didn't have to take loads of pics. No I hear you saying how does this fit the "new" theme? Well, I thought they would make a nice gift for someone who has just got a new house :)

These were really hard to photograph especially as I took the photo's at night, and you can't really see how they look in real life.
I was going to just stamp them with Stazon as it would be the easier option, but I really wanted to use white ink on the gold because the black looked a bit harsh and I don't have any white Stazon. And I wanted a bit of texture which I wouldn't of got with just stamping with Stazon.
So on the gold one, I stamped with white ink then embossed with clear powder and it worked great so I decided I would be a little more adventurous with the silver. I stamped on the silver with black pigment ink and embossed as before then I painted the whole thing with Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint. In this photo, it just looks as if it is all scratched (my pants photography again)but in real life it has lots of little cracks all over.
Both of the stamps I used are from an Inkadinkadoo clear stamp set.

Well I think that's enough from me for one day. I hope you will go check out all the stuff that the other girls have made this month, and remember to check back at the challenge blog later today to see who won last months challenge.
