Here is the order of Blog Hop participants in case you lose your way.

Tracey ( end of your journey and blog hop entry instructions)

Here's my card made with the new Gerbera Daisy in a Jar digi. There is also a a peony in a jar and they both come uncoloured and coloured.

I know this is sooo not my style of card, but I wanted to keep it simple to show off the image.
I coloured the image with Promarkers the other day when I coloured a pile of other images so I didn't have any paper in mind ot use with it, but I found this one in my stash and thought it went perfectly with the colours I had done the image in......I was quite surprised because the flowers even look quite similar, that really was a stroke of luck! :)
I wanted to use some organza ribbon as the other purple ribbons I have just didn't look right, so I took some white organza and coloured it with a promarker so it matched my image perfectly, then finished off with a few purple gems.
It was really hard for me not to add more embelishments to this but I think the paper is busy enough on it's own without adding to it so I just left it as it is:)

Now my special word is......oh no I can't remember what it is!! ....................only joking, that would be a bit of a disaster wouldn't it?!
My word is TIME

Your next stop is Carol H and I know she will have something stunning to show you!

Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

Pastel Vintage Tilda?

After I made the vintage Tilda card the other day, I was speaking to Lisa Jane who is on the DT for Moving Along With The Times and she told me the challenge over there this week is pastel vintage, so I thought I would give it a go. They also have a sketch to follow so I used that, except I didn't want to put a sentiment where they had a small rectangle as I don't know what I will use this card for so I am hoping that my pearl swirl in it's place with be ok.
I normaly go for darker colours when I attempt vintage so this really was a challenge for me!
I used some peachy/pinky coloured papers and I already had a Tilda coloured in that I done a while ago so I used her, but I had used brown on her so as it's supposed ot be pastels, I'm not sure if I will get away with that? The papers are all a light pastel colour though :)

I think the papers I used are papermania, but I'm not 100% sure. They are from a pad that I have had for a while but it was split in half and I can't find the other half that has the front cover on to find out who makes it lol.
I distressed all the edges and lightly inked them with antique linen distress ink.
I can't remember what I coloured Tilda with as it was a while ago that I coloured her, but I think it might of been a mic of Copics and Promarkers as I had only just started using Promarkers then and didn't have much colors.

The flowers are made from the Paper Roses and Leaves Template Set from Fred She Said.
These are great  if you are like me and don't have a flower or leaf dies or punches as you just print and cut. You also get a different flower and a different leaf shape with stalks too so you can mix and match.
I do have a couple of flower punches but they are no good for making roses and I have no leaf ones so this set is just perfect for me.

I used some of the same paper I used for the middle strip on my card and just printed some flowers on the back of it then cut them out and layered them up.
I didn't really go for a rose type flower because it fitted my card better this way, instead I just curled the petals a little and added a small pearl in the middle. I also added some frosted lace stickles all over the petals (I just rubbed some over them with my finger, no fancy tools here lol).
For the leaves I just printed them straight onto normal card and coloured them with promarkers.

The lace is from a local shop, small roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls from Ebay and I found the little metal fan in my stash.

I don't know if this is very vintage but it's about the closest I am going to get using light colours lol.
I could of printed out a vintage image but my printer ink is running really low and I really wanted to use this Tilda because she is one of my favourites :)

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back later with my card for Digital Tuesday which I am late with!
I was supposed to make it yesterday but I ended up out all day with the kids and didn't get back till late after dropping them off in Stonehaven with their Nana so didn't have time to get it done.....sorry Ellie!

I love to read your comments so please leave one to let me know you have came by and I will return the visit :)

Digital Tuesday - Happy Birthday

Good morning, hope the weather is nice where you are! The sun is shining here just now, but we have had nothing but rain for the last few days sowho knows if the sun will stay.

It's Lorraine's turn to host the challenge at Digital Tuesdayand she has chose a nice easy one for us - "Happy Birthday". We all need birthday cards on hand so I'm sure there will be a lot of entries this week.
Our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles who also offered the design team some of their images to work with. So here's what I done with one of their sweet images.

What a hard time I had trying to get a pic of this card yesterday! I took it in the afternoon and had to take it indoors because it was raining and there was just no light anywhere in the house!
I used some more papers from the My Mind's Eye stack that I used on yesterdays card.
I followed the sketch at Create For Fun but I rotated it to suit my image. As I said the cute image is from Delicious Doodles nad I coloure dit with Promarkers and added some Stickles to the spots on the pressie which you might see betterin the last pic below.
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which I added some Stickles too, pin, lace and ribbon are all from my stash (the ribbon I threaded through the glittery lace is actualy pink but it looks more red here).
I 3d' the puddy cat, been doing this on a lot of my cards lately and I quite like the effect it gives.

I know this is a silly angle to take a card at lol, but it shows the dimension a little better.
And one last pic because it shows the glitter on the image and flowers a little better, and just because I think the cat is cute lol.

That's it from me for now. I'm going swimming with my 2 girls later (hopefully they will let us in the pool because you are supposed to have an adult for each child under 10 and there is only me!), so I probably won't have another post today, but I will be back tomorrow with a sketch for the daily post at Bella Studio....after I have made it that is !!

Thanks for stopping by and if you decide to leave a comment then thank you for that too :)

Sugar Bowl Challenge

I had some time today to make a card just for fun, so I decided to join in with the challenge over at the Sugar Bowl and look out one of my old stamps to play with.
As always there is a fab sketch to follow and the theme is blue.

This is still one of my favourite Sugar Nellie stamps, I don't know what it is about it but I just love this image :)
I coloured her with my Promarkers and glittered the wings with Stickles. You can't really see it here but I also stamped an extra image and cut out the teddy and layered it on top.
The papers are Basic Grey  Periphery. The colours are a bit off here and they look much better in real life.
The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts with the exception of the timy blue ones which I found in my stash.  The pins are also from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls which are actually a nice brown are from Ebay.

Thanks for stopping by today. I really appreciate all of you who still come to visit even though I have been a bad blogger lately and I love to read your comments :)
I am getting back to normal now and shoudl be back to posting every day and visiting everyones blogs soon x

My very first Sketch! and Digital Tuesday and Bella Studio DT cards

This is gonna be a long post, so you might want to go get a cuppa first, or a cosy blanket and get snuggled up because it very well may put you to sleep! lol

It's my turn to host the challenge over at Digital Tuesday this week and we have Daphne from Bella Design Studio sponsoring, which if you are a regular to my blog, you will know that I am also on the design team for :) Daphne is offering 3 of her adorable images to the winner and she has just released some new cuties so there is loads to choose from.
I also have my DT card to show for yesterdays Bella Studio challenge and a card I made for one of the daily posts over on the Bella Challenge blog last week that I forgot to post here!

So first of all here's the sketch I made for Digital Tuesday. Now be gentle with me because this is the first time I have ever attempted doing my own sketch!

And here's the card I made with it.

I have used one of the new release images from Bella Studio, isn't it just the sweetest? I know I say that with every new image but this one really is my favourite:) It's called "Best Friends" and I coloured these pretty girls with Promarkers. The sentiment is also from bella Studio and is from the Gimme A Hug sentiment set.
The papers are new ones I picked up yesterday when I went to the Papeterie yesterday (it's a shop in  Aberdeen but they also have a website now which I have linked to). They are from Papermania's Summer Bloom pad.
I used my SU! punch for the flowers and added a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. Some lace from my stash and I used an SU! border punch for the pink strip.

This is my card for the challeneg over at the Bella Studio challenge blog which I should of posted yesterday but I forgot to! The challenge over there is Distressing.

This is actually not a card, it's done on mountboard so I can make it into a wall hanger thing.
I used papers from Papermania and the image is called JillyBean (love that name lol) and I coloured her with my Promarker as usual. I cut her out and stuck her on a Sizzix Die Cut which I cut from mountboard and distressed (alot lol) with Distress inks. I also distressed the edges of my base paper, and added a mix of flowers, some pearls and ribbon from my stash.
I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday .

Now if I haven't put you to sleep yet, I have one more card to show. I made this one for colour scheme Thursday post on the Bella challeneg blog. I chose the colours blue and brown.

I used some papers from Sassafras, love these colours :) The image is called "Wish Pickle" and again I coloured her with Promarkers and added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter for her wings.
The flowers are all Primas and I added some spacers and brads from my stash. I added some clear gems which I was going to do a flourish kind of thing with but I ran out of the clear ones, so I done some mini swirls lol, and an old charm from my stash.

Now that was an overload of Bella images wasn't it!
And if you love these as much as I do, why not enter the Digital Tuesday or Bella challenge and you could win some of your own :)
You know yo can combine both challenges so you only have to make one card and you can enter both at once :)

Thanks for stopping by

By The Cute and Girly DT cards

I'm a bit late with these. Actually I'm four days late!! but it's all Blogger's fault!
I did have a post scheduled for the 1st but it never posted and I haven't been on my blog since then to notice lol.
Better late then never though (seem to be saying that an awful lot lately!), so here's the cards I made for this month By The Cute and Girly challenge which is "Warm Summer Days".

The image I used on this one is called Mabel and is from Crafts 4 Eternity who is one of our sponsors this month. The other girls who used this image all coloured it in "normal" giraffe colours but I wanted to be a bit different and thought I would colour her pink! lol
I coloured her with Promarkers and I think she really suits pink, don't you? lol
The bottom paper is Papermania and the other one was from my stash and didn't have the name left on. It's a gorgeous glittered paper though although you can only see little bits of it in the pic.
The ribbon is from my local haberdashery and I just made a faux bow and all the roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I don't know what happened to this pic but it's gone a weird shade of yellow! lol
I used a Sarah Kay image that I got months ago in a rak and coloured her with Promarkers.
The yellow paper is Chatterbox and the other one is Papermania.
Ribbon is from Stampin Up! and the flowers are a bit of a mix. The pink roses (large and small) are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the small yellow ones are from a local post office shop!! (just shows you can find crafty stash anywhere! lol) and the large yellow one and the pin I think are from Tabby Crafts.
The pearl spray bits are ones I got from a local florist warehouse which I need to pay a visit to because I only have a couple left and I love em, and I added a few pearls from my stash just because I noticed a pack of them sitting on my desk lol.

That's it from me for today. I'm off to break up a fight for the 3rd time this morning. Why do brothers and sisiter fight so much....ggrrrr. I need to find something to occupy the three of them before they kill each other!!

Hope you are having a better day than I am! lol. Thanks for stopping by :)
