The Littl eYellow Challenge -Lace and pearls

It's that time of the week again, time for another Little Yellow Challenge.
Claire has set the challenge of Lace and Pearls this week and anyone can join in because you don't need to use a Little Yellow Company download to enter :) I don't know what the prize is this week because I'm away so you will have to hop on over to find out.
So here's what I came up with this week.
Sorry for the rubbish pic, I just coudn't get it right.
All the papers I have used on this one are from K&Co Wild Rasberry Collection.
Flowers are a mix from my stash and Primas from my fav shop Aries Crafts .
I have used one of the Eastern Birdies from LYC but you can use anything you like. I don't think I have made a very good job of using lace and pearls lol, the lace is nearly all hidden and my pearls are tiny but they are there. There is also tiny beads in the middle of my spacers but you can't really see them here. I had ran out of my normal pearls and this was the only ones I had, or else I would of used bigger ones on my flowers but never mind it's done now.
I hope you will think about joining in with our challenge this week. You would make me and the other DT's very happy girlies if you did :)

Cute Daisy May -Friendship

Well I'm at the caravan with Barry and the kids now and if you are reading this then blogger has done it's job and posted it for me :)
It's time for another Cute Daisy May challenge and this week the theme is friendship.
So I made a card for a special friend.
I just had to use this image for this weeks challenge. Aren't they just adorable!
The papers I used are both froma Papermania pad, lace from my stash, the little two tone roses are from my sneeky shopping trip when we visited Barry's Mum and the Primas and bubble stickers are all from Aries Crafts. Oh and speaking of Aries Crafts, have you been there lately? They have loads of new stuff including some pretty bead caps and Whipper Snapper stamps as well as all their usual yummy crafty goodies. It's the only place I go for my flowers because they are a reasonable price and do free postage and do fast delivery too! And of course because it's my fav online shop :) If you place an order for anything, would you be so kind as to write in the 'notes' box that you came from my blog.
Well that's it from me today, I don't have a Squigglefly card today as I didn't have time to make one for this weeks challenege before I went away.
I will be back tomorrow for Digital Tuesday if blogger plays nice!

Another clippity clop card

Did you noticed by the title that I am in a really silly mood today lol.
I said earlier I would be back with a card and here it is, a little later than I planned.
Sorry for the terrible pic, I came out blurry no matter what I done so I gave up and just posted it as it is. I have used one of the horse stamps again from Aries Crafts . This is the first card I have made with this one though, the first time I used it was on the farmhouse I made a few weeks back. I have cut a little off the horses so they fitted in the scalloped square, which I inked because it was white. I haven't coloured the horses this time, just stamped them straight onto brown dp. You can't see here but the paper does have a subtle pattern on it. In fact you can hardly see it irl either.
I have left the rest simple and only used a few flowers which you can get all of at Aries Crafts. I inked the edges of all the flowers and over the white roses with a light brown ink.
The swirls are puched from shimmery patterned paper and lightly inked.

recipe: papers- papermania, K&Co to stamp image onto.
stamp- Aries Crafts
embelishments- Flowers all from Aries Crafts, Swirls punched with All Night Media large punch, scalloped square frame cut with a Cricut (rak)

I'm off to see what you have all been up to now.

Little Yellow Challenge and new release

It's time for another Little Yellow Challenge. I am late posting it today because I had no internet from late last night until now. It just decided that is wasn't going to work and came back on all on it's own about 10 mins ago. So annoying! Anyway rant over lol.
The prize this week is a selection of 8x8 papers and a change to the rules is that you DONT need to use a LYC download to take part.
The Little Yellow Company have just released their new download set "Robots" which are perfect for this weeks challenge to make a card for a little boy.
All the DT have used the new robot set and funnily enough we have all used the same one but there are 3 robots in the set and they are perfect for little boy cards, and for little girls if your daughter is anything like my 4 year old Chiara was loves them too lol.
Here's what I came up with with the new set.
The dp I used is S.E.I and all the card stock are offcuts I bought on ebay about a year ago. One has been put through the cuttlebug. The metal tag is from Artymiss and I just printed Birthday boy on some normal copy paper and stuck it on, and put some funky fibre through the hole. Some buttons from my stash and that's it.
I hope more of you will join in this week, all you need to do is make a little boys card doesn't matter what images you use, but if you do have any LYC downloads we would love to see you use them:) Or if you don't have any LYC sets and would like to buy some, then just click on the banner in my sidebar and go shopping :) The link to the challenge blog is also in my sidebar.
Well thats it from me just now, I have another card to show shortly, just got to take a pic and upload it but untill then, see ya.

Cards, cards and even more cards!!

Well just as the title says I have loads to show this morning so this will be a long post!
First of all I have to tell you about a Fred She Said challenge! Tracey has some fab new releases some of which I have used on my card.
Here's a list of the new releases
Dancing Daisy Corner
Flutterbies for your Flowers 1
Fred's Flowers Set v5- A Lovely Blossom - (this one has the tiny butterfly)
Miss Bitty Set 1

And to celebrate this fab new digi sets we have a challenge for ya! Tracey has a lovely FREEBIE image for you on her blog here and all you have to do is make a card with it, simple as that. And... the winner of the challenge which will run for a week will win all of the new releases AND a $20 gift certificate to spend in the Fred She Said store! How cool is that?
So hop on over there and grab that freebie, but first please do look at my cards in this post lol.
So here is my card using Miss Bitty (which by the way is only 1 of loads of different versions of her in the set, and one of the new Flutterbies.Isn't she just the sweetest? I have used some Basic Grey and K&Co glittered paper. Coloured Miss Bitty and the Flutterbies with copics and some stickles just because I can't resist sparkle on wings lol.

Right my next card is for my first guest DT spot at Sketch and Stash. They have another great sketch this fortnight and an optional extra to use your neglected scraps so I did just that.

I am really not happy with this card. I made it late at night, can you tell lol. The stitching is all over the place! But I had already sent it to Becky to use for the challenge then looked at it in the morning and seen how bad it really was!
I do like the flowers though lol. They are from Aries Crafts.

So because I really wasn't pleased with this card, I made another one lol.

I have used some scraps of Basic Grey and also some paper by Summer Driggs that I had left over from another card. The flowers and bubble stickers are from Aries Crafts.

My next card is for Squigglefly. Kim set the challenge to make a baby card, gender neutral and any shade of purple.
Here's my take. Don't know if it's maybe a bit girly but it's done now lol.
These papers are all downloads but I have no idea where from except the dark one which was in the digi set I won on the Kaboodle challenge.

And if you haven't fell asleep yet! My final card is for Cute Daisy May. It's a fab sketch challenge this week.
Here's my take on the sketch

I loved this CDM image as soon as I saw it so I just had to use it :)
papers are Basic Grey and all the flowers are from Aries Crafts and the sentiment is from Stampin Up!

Right that is me for the day I think lol. Do let me know what you think of this lot :)

sketch saturday #60

Well I have made loads of cards today but all DT stuff because I need to get ahead with all my DT cards before I go away on Friday, so been trying to make all the cards for the 10 days we are away so I can just publish them when I'm gone. I got a lot of it done today but couldn't post everything so I decided to leave the rest until tomorrow and play along with Sketch Saturday.

While I was visiting Barry's Mum on Tuesday, I had a sneeky trip to the craft shop. I said I was only going to the local shop and took a detour hehe.
I was good though and only spend £10! I gota few 12x12 papers and some gorgeous two tone little roses. To be honest there wasn't much more that I wanted. It's only a tiny shop and sells things that they have had for years except they have some lovely 12x12 designer papers but they are all in boxes on the floor and she has them in plastic pockets in binders so you have to get down on your hands and knees and look through all the folders, so that was really the reason I only bought a few sheets.
Anyway I used one of the new Basic Grey ones I got on this card and found a scrap of another Basic Grey sheet in my scrap box. The Tilda and nestie labels I got in a rak and I just inked the labels. The sentiment is Stampin Up, flowers are Primas and everything else from my stash. I am also entering this one into the Just Magnolia challenge as they are asking for buttons which I have used 3 of :)
I'm not sure if I like this card, hmmm really not sure at all. This is certainly not in my colour comfort zone but I challenged myself to use Copic colours that I never use because most of the colours I do use are running out lol.
I'm off to bed now as it's nearly 2am here! Nite nite

My blog is not working :(

Just a note to tell all my followers that my blog isn't working properly and some people can't get onto it. I have been told that if I uninstall my followers widget temporarily it should sort it out so that's what I'm going to do. I shall put it back on at a later date and hopefully this will sort out the problem.

The Little Yellow Company challenge #3

It's time for another Little Yellow challenge and this week Claire has a sketch for you.

There is also a different prize this week! The winner of this weeks challenge will receive a rubber stamp of Claire's choice and some beautiful ribbon and lace!
I wish I could join in with this one for the prize lol.
Here's my card made with the new monster downlaods. There are 6 monsters in this set, perfect for boys cards.

Now last week I did promise anyone who entered the challenge some stamped images from me, so as Lorraine (Coldwaters) was the only person who entered :( she gets a pile of stamped images. I will get them out to you tomorrow morning hunni, or today if I can get to the post office. I have also added some papers as you are the only one who entered:)
Now I am sure you crafty girls (and boys) could do something amazing with this sketch so why not join in the fun and have the chance of winning that fab prize too!
I would love to see more people join in with this weeks challenge, pwetty pwease.

Digital Tuesday -Easy as 1-2-3

Good morning it's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge! All the sweet Birthday cards were great last week and I really enjoyed coming to see all your creations although by the end of it I was drooling seeing all that sweet stuff lol.
Shelly is our hostess this week and she picked Easy as 1-2-3, one digital image, two designer papers and three embelishments.
I decided to follow the sketch over at Friday Sketchers for my card this week.
The Charactere Cafe is our sponsor this week and they kindly offered the design team one of their images to use for the challenge. they have so much great images but I picked this adorable fairy.
The papers I have used are more from Summer Driggs, I really can't get enough of this girls papers! I find myself reaching for them all the time as she has something for every occassion.
I used 2 of my new Primas which I got from Aries Crafts of course. I am not sure if these ones came out of the bigger bag or the bitty bag but they both have an assortment of gorgeous flowers so I recommend you get both :) These bags are great if you don't want all of one kind or colour as you get all different sizes, styles and colours.
I used some pearl paints in the middle of the Primas instead of spacers etc so I didn't go over my 3 embelishments. Just incase you were wandering, my 3rd embelishment is the lace.

I'm off for the day to Stonehaven (about 20 miles away from where I live) as it was Barry's Mum's birthday yesterday, so we are going to give her the pressies we have still to get for her before we go lol and take her out for lunch or something. The kids love going there as we used to live just up the road from her but moved away 3 years ago and don't see them very often as we don't have a car just now. So the kids are all excited about going to see Nana and Papa and I am panicing because I have no idea what to get her for her birthday and only have about half an hour in town to get whatever it is!! Do you think I should maybe be more organised? Never mind I'm sure we will find something lol
Will be back tonight to see what you have all been up to.
Oh remember tomorrow is the new Little yellow Company challenge so if you want to enter this weeks one (baby blue) then you will have to get a move on. Claire is offering LYC digi's for the winner and I am giving EVERYONE who enters some stamped images from my own collection too :)

Cute Daisy May and Squigglefly DT cards

Good morning! I am such a bad blogger. I haven't posted for a few days but I have been making lots of cards, just couldn't post them because they are all DT stuff. Speaking of design teams, Ellie the owner of the Digital Tuesday Challenge has decided to step down from running the blog and asked me to do it, so.....that means I will be a bit busier than usual as I have to keep the blog updated, choose the winners each week etc, but as I am at home all day, I don't mind. I like to keep busy :)
On to the challenges- over at Cute Daisy May Net has set the challenge of Three Of a Kind- use 3 flowers, brads, images etc. The choice is yours as long as you use 3 of something.

I used 3 flowers from Fred She Said. These ones are from the Polka Dotty sets. I have used a brown sheet and a blue sheet but you get loads of colours in the set and loads of flowers on the sheets and 2 sizes of leaves too.
The papers are both from the DCWV Garden Party stack, have you noticed that I love this stack lol, and of course my images are from Cute daisy May. I love this bench, dont you? Linnie also has some more new sheets. There is a cute Halloween one if you want to get started early and she has done more accessories too, so you make lovely scenes.

The challenge Rhonda has set this week at Squigglefly is to use 1 oval, 1 square, glitter and ribbon. I didn't think I would like this challenge when I first saw it but I really had fun with it.
This Squigglefly image is called Pigtail cutie.
The papers I have used are more from Summer Driggs. I love this girls work, she is amazing and gives away all her kits for free! I will stick a link on later when I have more time. There is a link in previous posts if you want it just now though.
I glittered my little girls shoes ad bag for the glitter part of the challenge, added some lace and a few flowers just because I can't help myself lol.

Now it's your turn, Squigglefly have just released even more images this week so there is loads to choose from no matter what kind of images you like, there will be something there for you.
I'm off now to speak to my Son on MSN because he is at his Dad's house and I'm missing him loads :(

Truly Scrumptious challenge

I've been having a play with my new Hero Arts cat stamps today, they are so much fun, and speaking about fun Truly Scrumptious has a new sketch and the theme is black, white and one other colour, so I just had to have a go.

As you can see, I choose orange for my 3rd colour. Not a colour I would of normally picked unless I was doing a Halloween card but I wanted to use the goldfish in his bowl so I had to use orange.
All the image stamps and the sentiment are all from the same Hero Arts set, available at Aries Crafts. You get loads of stamps in this set and the dog one I used yesterday (11 in the cats and 12 in the dogs) and they are both £11.99 each., and all my papers are downloads but I have no idea where I got them from. Sorry I really am rubbish at keeping note of where I get stuff from.
The flowers are punched with my usual SU and Dovecraft punches and also a tiny punch but don't know who makes it. I have also used a cute little bead cap that is also from Aries Crafts

I was having a nosey around the store today and ordered my usual Primas but also a cute mini stamp set for only £1.70!! and there is loads of different ones with funny saying too, will have to get more of them I think. And I also bought a small leaf punch which was only £2! and of course I got free postage as always so me thinks I got some good bargains today :) I also noticed they have the most gorgeous new huge Primas in and loads more that I would of bought if I had money to spend today. I realy do recommend you pop over and have a look, I am sure you will find something you like and they are always getting in new stock so if there's anything you would like but can't see on the website, let me know and I will ask them if they can get it. Ian and Lynne the owners are great at sourcing products and always at a good price too. If you do order, there is a comment box that you can write in, if you would be so kind as to write that you came from my blog then it would be much appreciated :)
Now that the card is done, I have one more thing to ask all my lovely visitors. Why have you not entered the Yellow Company Blog candy yet? Do you know they are giving one lucky winner all 3 sets of digi stamps, that's 10 images!! All you have to do is hop on over there and leave a comment, stick a link on your blog back to them, then sit back and wait to see if you win. I know if I was not on the design team, I would be over there. For all you older music lovers, they have the singers set (Elvis, Elton John, Buddy and Dusty) which are great fun to play with, for those of you who like something a bit different, there are the quirky birds and if you like prettty birds, there is the Eastern Birdies. So whaat you still doing here? Get your bum over there and enter. Oh and if you really want me to be your bestest friend, you could enter this weeks Baby Blue challenge as well ;)

Charisma Cardz Guest DT project

Good morning crafters, it's chilly here in Aberdeen today, no sign of the beautiful sunshine that we had all last week but that just means more time indoors to craft.
Today is my last week as guest designer for Charisma Cardz :( Two weeks has went flying past but I have really enjoyed the challenges the girls set and look forward to joining them again sometime *wink wink*.
This weeks challenge is to alter something. Now I have not really altered much except a few old boxes so I took the easy option and altered an old gift box that I keep some of my crafty bits and bobs in.

I used a Sugar nellie image that I got as a RAK and the papers are all freebie downloads from Summer Driggs. Edited to add link for Stef :) You can find all Summers kits on her blog summertime designs. They are all free and she has loads of beautiful papers and digital embelishments. I had already covered the box and was going to use another paper from from the same set for the lid but Chiara decided that she would help me and insisted that I used yellow paper! At least she picked one from the same digi set though so it looks ok, but not what I would have picked myself. It was easier to just go with it than argue with a 4 year old who knows what she wants though! So I coloured my image red and yellow to co ordinate with the lid.
I then wrapped some lace round the lid and stuck on large Prima from Aries Crafts and layered with some punched flowers from the scraps of paper I had left over and a large spacer.

There was quite a breeze when I took this photo and just noticed that one of the petals are turned up. Oh well nothing I can do about it now.
I can't wait to see what everyone makes for this challenge!

Little Yellow Challenge Dt Card

Now I know I am late in the day posting this but I did schedule the post for 9.30am and Mr Blogger didn't post it, amd the same happend with the challenge blog post that Claire scheduled. Naughty Mr Blogger!
Anyway this week the Challenge is BABY BLUE. This doesn't have to be a baby card although you can make it for a baby if you want, it can just be the colour baby blue or whatever other ideas you can think of with that theme. Do you notice I have not offered any more ideas? That's because I don't have any lol, but I'm sure some of your clever crafters can :) This weeks prize a set of the new Monsters download which will be on sale in the shop later this week. I haven't even seen them yet apart from a sneeky peek on Claires card for this weeks challenge, so you will be one of the first people to have them if you win this weeks challenge!
So here's what I came up with
I have used one of the Eastern birdies. There is 3 birds in this set. I have used one of the others and coloured it all with different coloured glitter (must put it on a card and get it on here), it looks really nice. So just shows that there is loads you can do with these birdies. I have just kept this one blue though for the purpose of the challenge. Ok and a liitle yellow but I couldn't give him blue legs now could I!
The paper I have used to stick the image on is from the DCVW Garden Party Premium stack and is glittered just to adda bit of bling. The other two papers which I love both of are freebie downloads! I downloaded the blue and white one the other day but forgot to take a note of where i go tit from...again! It could possibly be from Summer Driggs? I'm really not sure though. The other one was a set of mulberry look paper that I downlaoded yonks ago and have no idea whatsoever where it's from, but it really does look like mulberry paper with all the fibres showing. I printed them both out on thick shimmery paper and they both look lovely IRL. I will defo use these again :)
I have used my Stampin Up and Dovecraft punches again for the flowers and added some spacers and a feather charm from my stash.
I really do hope some of you will join in with the challenge this week. The Little Yellow Company have some new realses coming your way soon (they are not birdies) so keep an eye out for them.
A special thank you to my lovely friend Lorraine who I think was practising being an owl last night (she will know what I mean) and made a card for the last challenge. thank you hunni , you really are the best :)
And a reminder before I go that The Little Yellow Company has candy just now. Pop over for a chacne to win all 3 sets of digi images. Eastern Birds that I have used here, Quirky Birds and The Singers set. And while your there, grab their logo and tell everyone about our new challenge blog and all the great images :)

A woof and Kaboodle Challenge

Just popping on to post a card I made for the Kaboodle Challenge. My lovely friend Angie is on their Design Team and I keep saying I will make a card for the challenge then something crops up and I don't have time to make one so tonight I made the time to sit down and make one. Told you I would Angie ;)
Remember I said earlier that I got some animal goodies in the post this morning from Aries Crafts? Well there was a lovely doggie stamp set from Hero Arts (and a cat one too), and doggie papers by The Paper Studio, so I had to use them.
The challenge this time is a sketch with two images so I got the chance to use a few of the stamps in the set :)

Everything I have used on this card is available to buy at Aries Crafts. How cool is that? Everything you need to make a card in one store (oh except the nesties I used for the scalloped circle, but you could easily cut your own if you didn't have them).
I haven't added no embelishments to this card, instead I used some of the stamps to decorate with. I stamped some bones onto glitter card and cut them out then stuck them on randomly to make a pile of bones. Don't ask where that idea came from lol. I also stamped the bouncing ball in front of the top dog to look as if he was chasing after it, again no idea where that came from. Aren't I just full of ideas tonight lol. And the sentiment is also from the same set
Got to make a card with the Cat set now :) Can you tell I'm having fun with these! I love doing cards with lots of stamping on them and these sets are just perfect for that.
Before I go off to bed I wanted to tell you all about The Little Yellow Company. All my regular visitors will know that I am on their design team, but did you know that they have blog candy just now? They are giving away all 3 sets of digi stamps in their store to one lucky winner! There is 2 sets of birds (you will see one on my blog tomorrow morning) and also the singers set which I used the Elvis image from last week. So get over there and get your name down for that draw.
Wednesday was the first challenge and Claire was giving everyone who entered the challenge a free digi image of the Little Yellow Company bird (I don't even have it), and there is also a prize of even more digi's for the winner of this weeks challenge but I was over there earlier today and only 1 person has entered! I hope some of you can hop over and join with some of the challenges or enter the blog candy and spread the word about our new challenge blog and images.

FSS DT card Halloween in July!

I'm in card making mode today after getting all those goodies in the post this morning from Aries Crafts. I really wanted to play with ome of it but I had to make a card for Fred She said first as I haven't made a card yet this week, so I was having a look through the FSS images and it hit me, there is a gorgeous Halloween Emma image and Aries Crafts sent me some Halloween paper to play with so I just had to put them both together and do a Halloween card. A bit early I know but you can never be too organised, and when you see this little cutie you might want to get started early too. I followed one of the sketches from Stampin' for the Weekend so I am entering my card there. They have a choice of two sketches, but I picked the first one as the sponsor for the 2nd one is Cute Daisy May and since I am on their design team it would be a bit pointless entering to win images I can get anyway lol, but I might do that sketch too just for fun if I have time this week :)I think this is my favourite Emma so far and you get sentiments in the set too. I love this fun sentiment lol. In this set you also get the same image without the spots on her cat suit.
I personaly think this image with her one tooth showing is cute but Tracey has tried to cater for everyone and also added the same image but with her mouth closed. You also get the images in different sizes too, so again lots for you money. Tracey has also just added a coloured version of the Emma the mermaid image I used a while ago for people who like to just print out their images ready to use without any need for colouring. Great for when you need to make a quick card.
The spotty paper I have used is by The Paper Company Studio and is available at Aries Crafts and the other two were freebie downloads I got a while back, but can't remember where from.
I've punched my flowers from scraps of glossy black and shiney purple papers and the smallest ones are punched from the same spotty paper as before. I finished them off with some purple and black gems.

I have some new Hero Arts animal stamps to play with so got to go get inky!

Digital Tuesday Challenge- Sweet Birthdays

It's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge and this week Paula has choose the theme of Sweet Birthdays. Make a birthday card with something sweet on it, a sweet wrapper decorated for a birthday etc, as long as you have used something digital.
I choose to make a card, surprise lol and I followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers.
I found a free sweet image at The DAISIE Company.

Don't know if you can see here but the writing at the top of the door says Sweet Bakery. It reminds me of the witches house in Hansel and Gretal lol. Wouldn't mind a house like this myself but don't think it would last very long as a house if it was all edible lol.
All the papers I have used are freebies from Creative Cardmaking magazine. I don't normally like to use the papers from amgazines because they are always really thin but the ones in this mag are always lovely and thick.
I cut a scalloped circle with my nesties to mat the sentiment circle onto which was done on the computer and I inked the edges of the scalloped circle.
All the flowers are Primas from Aries Crafts and everything else from my stash.
Oh incase you can't see it very well here, the sentiment I made says Hope you birthday is is sweet as you. Thought that was quite fitting for the theme
Our sponsor this week is My Grafico, who have some great digi's and also some cool freebies you can download too. Hope some of you lovely crafters will join us again this week.
I must apologise again for not visiting people's blogs last week. I did go to the doctors yesterday and they sent me to the hospital to get a scan and blood tests etc as they thought when I had the miscarrige, not everything had came away but it has and they just don't know why I have been feeling dizzy etc and haven't stopped bleeding yet (over 5 weeks!!). So got to wait for blood test and swab results to come back. Sorry I know this is not what you want to read on a cardmaking blog but some of my regular visitors have been emailing to ask what was wrong.
Hopefully I will find out next week and get something done about it because I keep falling over and am seeing double sometimes, it's driving me crazy.
I'm off to make some cards, got loads of new lovely goodies from Ian and Lynne at Aries Crafts this morning and can't5 wait to play with them. They have the cutest animal toppers, papers and stamps on their website and I have some to play with :) So guess what will be on my next few cards lol. Oh and I got some pretty little bead caps today, so got to show you them too, because you know how much I love to use them. They are selling them at a fab price too!
Go have a look for yourself, you might be there a while though because they have lots goodies on there taht you will want. Please don't hold me responsible for your credit card bill though lol.

DT card x2

Good morning ladies. I am a bit late today with my DT cards because I got a long lie this morning yay!
Before I start babbling on about other stuff, here's my cards
First for Cute Daisy May We would like to see hot colours on your cards this week.

Do you think I have used enough orange lol. I think this little daisy suits these bright bold colours though, don't you?
Remember to join in with the challenge, you don't have to use the Cute Daisy May downloads but if you have any, we love to see what you do with them.

My 2nd card is for Squigglefly. Kim set us the challenge this week and what a challenge it was for me! She asked us to use 1 layer (only your base card) and 1 embelishment!

I'm not very keen on this card, a bit to plain for my liking but I did my best.
I stamped my base card with some Inkadinkadoo stamps and used some pearl paint just so it wasn't so boring lol. i figured that the pearl paint was not an embelishment because although it looks like pearls, it is just paint so I could get away with adding that. What do you think, did I cheat? I don't care it's done now lol. For my embelishment, I added a Prima which of course is from Aries Crafts and added some more pearl paint. The glitter on it was an accident! I had the card beside me and was playing around with stickles and somehow got some on the flower, so just rubbed it in and made my flower sparkly lol.
Oh and of course I have used an image from Squigglefly, and what a cutie she is too.

So thats the cards done, now I have an apology to give to everyone who joined in with last weeks challenges, I am sorry I didn't get round to visit your blogs and leave comments, I haven't been feeling very well this last week, but I am off to see the doctor this afternoon. I haven't been right since I had a misscarriage a few weeks ago and have started feeling dizzy and stuff so I phoned and spoke to the doctor this morning and she want's to see me this afternoon. I won't go into any more detail on here as it's not the kind of thing you want to read on a card blog lol. Will let you know how I get on when I get back later on today.
Hope you can join in with the challenges this week. Linnie has some lovely new daisy May sheets if you fancy some new digi images and Squigglefly also have some great new images too, they just keep getting better and better.

Finally a challenge card!

I have been so busy with the kids school stuff this week that I was behind with everything, but I made some of my DT cards last night so I had a little time to play today and make a challenge card at last.
I have combined 3 challenges with this one, because I know I won't manage to make a lot of challenge cards this week. The challenges are Just Magnolia which is So Charming - use charms, Daring Cardmakers -Blue and Green and Papertake Weekly - a sketch.

I have obviously followed the Papertake Weekly, which I have actually used 4 times this week but I had to give them to Liam's teachers on Friday before I got a chance to post them on here.
My Tilda image was a rak and I don't have any of the label nesties but Heather (Rica) very kindly cut some and sent them to me. I inked the edges of it with some blue ink and also inked around Tilda with the same ink.
I used 2 butterfly charms for the Just Magnolia challenge and my flowers are a mix of punched ones and Prima's from Aries Crafts.I was on their website yesterday and they have some gorgeous new Prima's in as well as all the others they usually stock. There really is loads to choose from at a very reasonable price and remember free delivery too! Also some lovely new backing papers and other new goodies too. So what you waiting for, go have a look and see for yourself.

Papers: K&Co- Wild Raspberry Collection, Basic Grey - Two Scoops collection
Image: Magnolia Tilda - RAK
Embelishments: Charms, chain, jump rings, brads and lace from stash. Punched flowers made with 5 Petal Stampin Up punch, Prima flowers from Aries Crafts

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather :)

Squigglefly blog hop candy winner

I don't have any cards to show as I have been at the kids school all day. Liam had his primary 7 graduation and all the kids were crying because they are leaving to go to the "big" school. they all love their teacher so they were all sad to be leving her, bless them. And I must admit I had tears in my eyes too, can't believe my baby is leaving Primary School.
I just wanted to pop on to tell you all who the winner of my blog hop candy is. As I said before it's just a few images and whatever little bits I find in my stash, which by the way is rapidly running out and I can't replace it just now so it will only be a few bits lol.
So the winner is TERESA!! Well done hunni, send me your snail mail address and I will get them out to you asap. I do have to still stamp those images though! But I promise I will do it tonight or tomorrow morning and get them in the post as soon as they are done.
Thank you to everyone who left a comment and I hope the people that found my blog through doing the blog hop will come back and visit me again :)
Oh I keep meaning to mention that my visitoe counter hasn't been working properly for ages now! Does anyone know where I can get one that actually works?
It has been sat on 4000 and something for about 2 months and only ever goes up a few every day, but I know by my comments that there haas been way more visitors that that so I must get it sorted.
I'm off now to take the kids to the disco at the community centre.

Charisma Cardz Guest DT card- Buttons

I am so sorry I am really late with posting this card but I slept in this morning and then had to rush to a meting a the kids school, so didn't have time to post it before I left. (sorry Carly, I promise to do better next week! lol)
So as I told you I am guest designer for Charisma this week and next :) The challneg this week is Buttons, as simple as that, just use some buttons on your card. So here's my card with lots of buttons on.
I used one of my new Sugar nellie stamps and as always colured with copics. The papers are from DCWV Garden Party stack, flowers are a mix of Prima's from Aries Crafts, some from my stash and punched ones. I have used a mix of buttons from my stash on all the flowers and tied some twine stuff through them.
Now it's your turn. Do check out the other girls cards over at Charisma, they have all done a fantastic job and gave you loads of inspiration. The sponsor this week is Simon says Stamp who are offering the winner a $20 voucher to spend in their store. Wish I could enter this week!

It's a beautiful day here again today so Barry, Chiara and I are away into town to do some shopping and see if I can persuade him to let me go to the craft shop lol.
I know I said yesterday that I would announce the winner of my Squigglefly Blog hop cansy today but as the hop is still going on then I will pick a winner tomorrow to give others a chacne to win too. It's Rhonda's teams turn to finish off the hop today so hop on over to the Squigglefly blog and get all the details. remember there are 3 images to be won from Squigglefly themselves and also soem of the girls may have their own candy to give away too. So do check out ALL their blogs.

Bye for now

The Little Yellow Company first Challenge!

It's Wednesday and that means a busy busy day for me! It's the first challenge over at The Little Yellow Challenge Blog and the theme is Something Sparkly. I have made a card especially with one of my blogger friends in mind.
Angie, yes you Angela Easter this is just for you! Hope you like it :)
I know Angie is a huge fan of Elvis so when I saw this image I just had to use it. I have kept the card quite simple to let Elvis take centre stage lol. I have used white glitter on his jacket and also some gold on the stars and dots and also at the side of his glasses (there are 3 tiny dots but don't think you can see them here). I am sorry I have no idea what colours his clothes should have been so I just used the colours of glitter I could find in my stash.
The stars and matting are cut from glitter card too, so I think I have covered this sparkly challenge.
Now if you have never been over to the Little Yellow Company then pop over and have a look. They have some more of these fab singers and some quirky birds too.
I hope you will come join in the challenge and go check out the other DT girls cards too, and everyone who participates will get a free download!
Well I have to run or else I am going to be late. I will be back in a bit for the Squigglefly Blog hop, hope to see you there!
Bye for now

Suigglefly Blog Hop!!

Good morning everyone, well this is it, my first blog hop. Well not the first I have participated in but the first I have helped host, oh you know what I mean lol.
Right lets gets to the fun bit. If you haven't started at the beginning, then you need to go to visit Christy's blog and she will direct you to the next blog and so on. If you came here from Kim's blog then you are on the right track and doing better than me! Remember to visit all the girls blogs and leave them a comment then when you have done that go to Squigglefly for a chance to win some of their great images.
I made a quick card with one of the cute images to show you today so here it is.This little one is called Cutie Patootie and what a perfect name it is too. Isn't she just the cutest?
My girls love this image and wanted me to use it for today so here she is. Sorry the flower is a bit blurry, no idea what happened there lol.
Now as I said yesterday a few of the girls also have some candy to give away, I'm afraid I am a bit short of the pennies just now so couldn't go buy anything to give away but I couldn't not give away something could I so I will pick a random winner from my comments tomorrow and they will get some stamped images and a few bits from my stash. It's not much but it's free :)
If you don't have a blog, please remember to leave your email address so I can contact you if you win. Oh and anyone can enter as long as they are doing the blog hop :)
Now you have seen what I have to offer, so hop on over to Mary's place and see what she has in store for you. I am away to start at the beginning!
Have fun!!
