My peace is shattered!
That's it, the end of peace for me! My 2 girls are back and the first thing they done when they came in the door was fight with each other! I have to admit it though, I really missed them for the 2 nights they were gone. We took them out on their bikes up to the park and let them play for a while. We bought them both bikes last Christmas but they have only been on them twice as they were a bit too big but now they fit fine. Chiara was so cute, she couldn't cycle most of the way up to the park because it's all uphill. Not that there is any big hills but it's not flat. But on the way back she was delighted because she could do it all on her own, her little legs were going ten to the dozen lol, and she's shouting look Mummy and Daddy I can cycle and use my brake as she forgets to steer and I have to go running after her before she crashes into a parked car lol.
All the kids fell asleep not long after we got home so I sat down to make this card for Cutie Sunday. It's a great sketch this week and you know how I love sketches lol.
I love this Sugar Nellie image I got from Lorraine, she is just the sweetest and such a joy to colour.
I have use some more papers from my Papermania Sweet Nothings 6x6 pack which I got for £1!! I couldn't believe it, 50 sheets for a quid, you can't grumble at that now can you?
I was going to sew real stitches but I couldn't find any needles!! I have loads of them but could I find them? No because I moved them from where they are normally kept and can't remember where I have put them! So I had to just draw them instead and I didn't make a very good job of it either. I didn't look at the opposite sides when I was drawing them so they are not even in the same places, ah well you win some you lose some as they say.
My large flower is from the Prima bigger bag and all the rest are Prima Sweet n Sassy Cinderella which are all available at Aries Crafts as is the charm I have used. They have a huge selection of flowers and a good price too, also remember they do free postage too, what more do you want lol.
Spacers, brad and gems are all from my stash and the sentiment was done on the computer.
Thanks for looking

Just Magnolia and Sketch Saturday
Good morning ladies (and men if any are reading this), hope you are all having a fab weekend.
I have been so busy cardmaking since my 2 babies have been away for the weekend and I am lovin it, but I do miss my girls so much, it's way too quite without their fighting and screaming at each other lol.
I missed last weeks Just Magnolia with everything that was happening so I wanted to join in this week. This is one of my favourite challenges as is Sketch Saturday (who doesn't love a good sketch?) so I decided to combine the two.
I have turned the sketch on it's side to fit my little Tilda better. Ok I admit it, I turned the sketch because I stuck my image on the wrong way lol. I think she fits better this way though :)
The theme this week for Just Magnolia is animals and insects so I used this sweet Tilda and also a Magnolia butterfly from the Spring set that the lovely Bev stamped for me (thanks hun your the best x).
I reached for my Bo Bunny papers again but these are ones I haven't used before although some of them do look very similar. I'm not sure about the green paper but I bought it because for 1 it co-ordinates with the others I have and 2 it has a lovely pattern in the bottom corner which I didn't use lol.
The green spotty flower is a Prima and the pink fabric flower is one I got from Donna (Donna's Doodles) when I won her blog candy. Well I didn't win her candy, someone else did but she also picked 2 or 3 others to receive some images and a few other bits and I was one of them :)
I found the sweet label thingie in my stash and thought it would go well with the sketch. I wish I could remember where I got it because I would like some more.
Everything else is from my stash.
I think I might go see what other challenges I can join in with before the girls get home.
Remeber if you haven't joined in with the Digital Tuesday Challenge this week, you still have time, it's a wedding theme this week and you can use any digi image you like . Also if you want to join in with this weeks Squigglefly challenge, you better get your skates on because the new challenge is tomorrow. This week is a colour challenge of Bordering Blue, Pretty In Pink and Chocolate Chip or if you are like me and don't have Stampin Up stuff, you can use colours that are close to those, like I did :)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thank you for stopping by today.

A Christmas card in May!!
That's right you did read it correctly lol. I was looking at the Just Christmas and Birthday Cards blog and they have a sketch this week, so I just had to join in. I could of made a birthday card but I wanted to use my new craft stamp from Janlynn . This one is called Angel banner and is another one from their new range. I left the banner blank because I'm not sure what I want to put on it yet but you could write whatever you wanted on it or just leave it blank like I have done here.
The papers I have used are Fancy pants and it's a double sided sheet so no trying to find papers to co-ordinate, just the wa y I like it, nice and easy lol. I did use some Bo Bunny paper to mat all my layers on though.
The sentiment is just one I done on the computer and ribbon is from my stash. No embelishments on this one!!! I was going to add a few but I managed to stop myself and leave it as it is. I don't think it needs anything else though, do you?
I have had a nice peaceful day today and managed to get all my design team work done for next week, which means I can join in with some more challenges :)
I also have some news...... I made the Fred She Said design team!!! woohoo!!
I am some excited to be working with Tracey. Her digital images are beautiful and she is a real lovely person too. How lucky am I !
I'm off to see what I have missed on all your blogs then might see what else I can make before the girls come back tomorrow.
thanks for stopping by today. Please do leave me a comment to let me know you have visited, even if it's just to say hi, them I will know you have been and can come visit you. Besides that, I really love to read all the lovely comments you guys leave me :)

A card just for fun
I have been out the whole day today so haven't had a chance to do any crafting but I did make a card last night. It's not for any challenge or DT work, just for fun :)
I wanted to use my new Bo Bunny papers but couldn't find any flowers or embelishments in my stash to go with them so I have had them sitting for a week or so just waiting to be used. Then Ian from Aries Crafts sent me some gorgeous big Prima flowers and I thought perfect.
I got the image from Carly when we did an image swap and I think she is soo cute, don't you?
Both the flowers I have used are Prima the huge one is from the Carribean collection and is called Antigua, they are really pretty and feel different than normal Prima's, they have a really nice feeling to them that I just can't describe and come in the most beautiful assortment of colours. The smaller flower is from the "bigger bag" and they are both available at Aries Crafts.
If you have never visited their website, you really have to pay them a visit. They have a huge range of Prima's as well as loads of other stuff and they do free delivery on every order!!
The charm I used is also from their store. You can maybe see the writing on it if you click on the photo but it says celebrate life. I know it just looks plain silver here but it is green in the middle and goes perfect with my flower and paper :) This one is from the Dancing Queen pack.
Everything else is from my stash.
Now the card is done I can fill you in on my day.
I had to take Liam to the Optician this afternoon to get his eye checked as he had been playing out with his friends and got a stick fired into his eye! They were making their own bow and arrows with sticks and elastic and one of the kids shot it at Liam by mistake! His eye has some scratches on it but no real damage so he has to put drops in to prevent infection and go back for a check up in a weeks time.
We done some shopping since we were in town and I got the kids some new clothes which they were badly needing. Why do kids have to grow so quick?
After that we all headed to Barry's cousins house for a barbeque as it's been a very nice day here for a change. Then Barry, me and Liam headed home leaving the girls there with their Nana and Papa. They taking them home to their house and keeping them for the weekend. We will get them home on Sunday.
That means I can craft as much as I like the whole weekend!! Woohoo!
I love my kids more than anything but it's only once in a blue moon that Barry's parents take them for us and none of my family do, so it's nice to get a break when they do offer to take them.
I will probably be lost without them by tomorrow morning lol.
Liam and Barry are both asleep so I can do whatever I want, so I'm off to make the most of it!

Nutshells and my shopping trip
I have decided to enter the DT call for Nutshells. There is a sketch to follow and I also had to use this cute image.
I pretty much followed the sketch to the letter this time. I have used K&Co papers from the Wild Raspberry Collection. I just love these papers and the fact that some of them are glittered or embossed makes me love them even more.
The flowers are all Prima's, gems and tiny flowers from my stash and the sentiment was a £1 Anita's stamp.
Not much else to say about this card really. Lovely papers and image and lots of flowers, what more do I need?
I did go to the paper mill and just as I predicted, I didn't get any bargains and hardly anything I wanted either.
I had a look at their nestabilities and they did have a great selection but the price has went up by £5 since I was there 2 weeks ago! I asked the woman who works there why the big increase and she told me some story about the prices of Cuttlebug stuff going up because of the exchange rate just now. I have absolutely no idea what that has to do with nesties since they are not Cuttlebug but I just kept my mouth shut. This is the woman who is supposed to be so up to date with all the new products lol. Last time I was in she was going on about some demo for the Cry cut, I had no idea what she was talking about until she pointed over to the Cricut machines. At that point I said oh you mean the die cutting machine with the little green cricket on it? She still didn't realise I was taking the p**s lol. And by the way she still calls it a Cry cut!
I did get a border punch though....yay. There was one Fiskars scallop punch in the whole shop, in fact that was the only border punch in the shop! It's not a tiny shop but they sell stuff that nobody wants and stamps that they have had for years because nobody has bought them.
that is why I only go there if I need card stock because it is the only place I know of around here to get boxes of card from. Don't get me wrong, they sometimes have gorgeous papers and on the odd occassion they do have some nice embelishments but they never have any flowers or decent stamps. I think I should try get a job there and then tell them what crafters really want. What do you think?
Anyway apart from the punch, I did get a box of card which was not the kind I normally buy but it will do for now, some ds tape, foam dots and some ribbon and that was it. I did see some nice ribbon slider things at the counter as I was paying but the woman had just spent more than 10 mins figuring out how much my stuff came to because the electric had went out and she didn't have a till so I didn't bother with them, it would of only confused her. She was using a calculator and still got 3 different figures each time she added them up so I ended up telling her the prices of everything while she punched it in on her calculator. You would think I bought tons of stuff, I only spent £26 for goodness sake!
Well before I go off on another rant about her I will leave it there lol. I'm off now to see what you have all been up to.

Combined challenge card
Good morning everyone, hope you are havign a great start to the day :)
I am off to the paper mill soon to get some card stock as I have about 3 sheets left!! and maybe a few other bits and bobs. I will let you know what I got when I get back.
I knew I wouldn't get much crafting time today because I have so much other stuff to do so I made a card last night for 2 challenges. I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash (my new stash is my Papermania papers) and for the Whiff Of Joy Challenge this week the colours are brown and blue. I love this colour combo but I couldn't for the life of me find any papers in my stash that had both brown and blue on it so I looked for a brown and a blue but couldn't find a brown paper, they all had other colours in them so I resorted to my digi's instead. I downloaded some last week after losing most of my digi stuff but I forgot to write where I downloaded it from.. duh.
When I looked at the brown paper on my computer, I was wandering why it was called script paper because it just looked plain to me but after I printed it out I could see the tiny writing all over it and it is actually quite prettty in real life.
The image is another one I got from Lorraine, isn't she beautiful? I love colouring this one.
I really must get a scallop punch!! Every time I want scallops, I have to cut them by hand and they always end up squint, but this time I used an old embossing board to emboss some scallops then cut it out. This made it a lot easier but it would sure be so much easier with a punch!
I got my nesties out to do the scalloped mat. Haven't used these for a while. I love them but most of the cards I have done lately have been square or rectangle images. I think I will get some square ones or maybe the labels..... hmmm will have to convince Barry that I really need them lol.
Recipe:
Image WOJ from Lorraine, thanks again hun xx
Papers: Brown script paper download, blue paper from Papermania sweet nothings pad
colouring: Copics
Embelishments: small prima flowers from Aries Crafts, large flowers, spacers, pearls and lace from my stash
Tools: Cuttlebug, small classic scalloped circles nesties, Glittergirls embossing board and embossing tool.
Right I'm off stash shopping. Hope I find some bargains :) There's probably more chance of me paying over the odds for what I want actually but if I need it then I have to get it don't I?
See you all later.

Sugar Bowl challenge
I had some time this evening to make a card for The Sugar Bowl and it is a great sketch from Kathy with the option of using pearls (you have to add the pearls if you want to be entered to win the prize).
I have tried something a bit differnet to my usual style and I maybe got a bit carried away with the ink but I had loads of fun anyway. Let me know what you think!
I'm sorry about the picture, it looks really blurry but no matter what I did it just went all weird on me so in the end I just gave up and posted it as it is.
I used my Basic Grey Porcelain papers again. Sorry but I love em. I will get sick of them soon, well maybe I will lol. They are just so pretty I can't help myself. Anyway I have inked the edges of well everything really!!
I have obviously used a Sugar Nellie image image and coloured her with copics.
The sentiment is an Anna Griffin stamp, I inked the card with som eplain brown ink then stamped the sentiment on top with a darker distress ink. the lace was white but it got the works with the ink too, as did the little roses. Told you I went a bit mad with the ink lol.
The little decorative corner I made with a peel off. I stuck the peel off on some card then inked over it and cut it out, then peeled the sticker off to reveal the negative off the peel off. I quite like the effect it gives. I never use peel offs butI have stacks of them from when I used to use them ages ago, so they came in handy.
Recipe:
Image: Sugar Nellie
Designer Papers: basic Grey Porcelain pad.
Sentiment: Anna Griffin
Embelishments: Kanban pearls, Prima flowers from Aries Crafts, Lace and roses from stash
Hope you are all having a fab day/night depending on where you are in the world :)

Digital Tuesday Challenge #8 - Weddings
Good morning ladies (and men if there are any visiting today), it's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge and this weeks challenge is set by Emma and she chose Weddings.
Our sponsor this week is Dustin Pike (link in my sidebar if you have been living on another pplanet for the last few months and haven't checked out his amazing work lol), and he is giving away 3 of his fab digi images to the lucky winner!
I have kept my card really simple this time as I think the image and papers speak for themselves but also because when I made this card I was feeling really ill so I just wanted to do something quick but nice.
I have used an image from Cute Daisy May and coloured with copics. I only used a tiny bit of pink on her dress and blended it all over with my blender pen so it was really light. I was going to just leave it uncoloured so she had a white dress but I just couldn't leave it alone lol.
The dp is Basic Grey and the shimmery card is from a pack I got off Ebay months ago, I knew it would come in handy some time!, I put it through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder to give it some texture. The flowers are all Prima, pearls are Kanban, spacers from my stash and the sentiment is from a Studio G clear stamp set that I got a while back from my friend Donna.
I have seen a few familiar faces entering the challenges and it's great to see you joining in :)
I hope many more of you have the time to join in this week too.
Remember to check out all the other girls creations on the challenge blog as they have done an amazing job again this week, and there is loads of inspiration on there for you.
If you have never joined in with the challenges, why not give it a go? You have nothing to lose and 3 Dustin images to win! You can make anything you like a card, scrapbook page or anything else that you fancy as long as you use a digital image on it somewhere.
Can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Another card from me today!
I am really enjoying making cards today:) And this one is for the Kaboodle DT call.
I have kept it simple and not used much embelishments. I followed the sketch they gave but I did turn it on it's side to work better with my image. I got this little cutie from Carly in a swap we done recently but I'm afraid I don't know what she is called. If anyone knows then please do let me know as I would love to put a name to her :)
All the papers I have used are from K&Co mat stack, they are lovely and thick and worked well for the tearing part. I hate tearing my papers but I didn't mind doing it with this one because they are only little sheets and you get so many of each pattern in the stack that you can afford to tear some up.
I have threaded some twine through my buttons just to make them a bit more interesting. the sentiment was done on the computer and the tiny cupcakes and presents are from a sticker sheet I have had for well over a year, no idea who made them.
Right I'm off to check out everyones blogs and see what you have made today.

Monotone Pink
The challenge at Cute Daisy May this weeks calls for a monotone card so I used all pinks except Anya's hair and skin obviously but I will call that using my artistic license lol. I got this lovely image from Lorraine when we done an image swap. I think I got the better deal though, she has a wonderful collection of stamps and well mine is not so wonderful lol. I have used the sketch at Papertake weekly which is of course by the fabulous Dawny P. I enjoyed working with this sketch. It was nice and easy but so much can be done with it too. I just left it sa it was though as I thought it suited my image best like this.
My flowers are a mix of Primas, tiny punched ones from a punch a got in an Artymiss bargain box (in fact I got over 20 different ones) and the largest ones are also from the same bargain box. They were just plain die cut flowers but I put them through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder and inked one a darker pink. I never thought I would use these but they are quite pretty when you jazz them up a bit, don't ya think?
Recipe:
Designer papers: Bo Bunny, fancy pants and no idea who makes the large flower print one because I cut off the strip again!
Image: Anya from Lorraine xx
Colouring: Copics
Embelishments: Prima flowers, die cut flowers and punched flowers with a cheapo tiny punch (sorry no name on it) Swirls are All Night Media large swirl punch, gems from stash
Tools: Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.
Hope you are all having a great day.

Squigglefly challenge #3
This is my first Dt card for Squigglefly!!
Kim has set the challenge this week and it is a colour challenge of bordering blue, pretty in pink and chocolate chip. I don't have any Stampin Up stuff and to be honest don't really know most of the colours but I did go look them up and I used the colours I had closest to them.
the images I have used are from Squigglefly's baby set and I colured with my usual copics.
As I had just joined the team when the challenge was set, I only had the baby set so decided that my card would be for twins as I couldn't have a pink baby boy card or a blue baby girl card now could I? lol
I have kept it simple with just a few Prima flowers and a little baby's feet charm from my stash.
I hope you can join in with the challenge this week on the Squigglefly blog and remember to check out my fab teamies work too!
Before I go I would just like to say thank you to everyone who left me comments and emailed me yesterday, I can't believe how much of you took the time to speak to me, thank you so much.
I do feel a bit better today and I think I will make some cards to take my mind of things.
I know this was not the best choice of cards I could of posted today, quite ironic actually, but it was made last week and I didn't have time to make another one.
Thanks once again for all you kindness and support, you guys are the best!!
Hugs Lora xx

Some sad news to share.
Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday weekend and the lovely weather (if it's not pouring of rain with you of course).
I don't have a card to show today, but I thoughy I would just post to let you all know why I haven't been posting much lately etc.
I wouldn't noramally tell people I don't really know personal stuff about me, but I have thought about it and I feel that you are all my friends as well as blogging buddies and I feel much better telling people than keeping everything to myself, so here goes....
First things first, as all my regular visitors will know, I have not been feeling myself lately and have been quite ill. Well I finally figured out what all that was about and believe me it was a huge shock to the system!! I found out the other day that I was pregnant!! Well that would explain why I felt like s**t, but I still wasn't feeling well over the weekend and started to bleed yesterday, so called NHS 24 and spoke to a doctor which just happened to be my old GP. Anyway she told me that because it was only a small amount and it wasn't bright red, it would just be old blood and that I would probably be fine, but I was still worried as this happened when I was pregnant last year and the same day I misscarried. She told me just to put my feet up and take it easy which I did, but today I knew something wasn't right and sure enough I started getting really bad stomach cramps, then went to the loo and well you don't need to know all the details but you get the picture, I had lost the baby.
So as you can imagine my head is a bit messed up just now and I haven't even though about crafting. To tell you the truth, I have been too sore to do anything but lie in my bed, but I took some painkillers a while ago and the pain is not that bad just now so I thought I would pop on the computer for a while and visit all your fab blogs to take my mind off it a bit :)
I hope you all understand that I might be a bit loose with posting cards etc for a while but I will be visiting your blogs and seeing what you have all been up too.
Thanks for stopping by today.

2 challenges, 1 card
I have been missing quite a few chalenges the last few weeks so wanted to get a few done. I have combined 2 challenges for this card. I used the fab sketch from Whiff Of Joy and am also entering it in to the Charisma Cardz challenge which is lace, flowers and pearls. I normally use those 3 things when I do this kind of card anyway so it was the perfect challenges to combine.
I just bought a new Porcelain pad from Basic Grey so I just had to use some of the papers from it. I must admit, I used quite a lot of papers because I decorated all the inside as well because I am going to use it for someone special but she is so worth it. I haven't took a photo of the inside just incase the person I am sending it to reads this but I have just used the same papers and flowers as the outside.
I got the lovely Whiff Of Joy image from Lorraine as I don't own any of my own yet, but I think I will have to buy some because I don't think there is one WOJ stamp that I don't like.
I coloured her with my usual copics. All the flowers I used are Primas that I got from Aries Crafts, spacers are from my local craft shop. The one I used on the left are nice and heavy but I have to admit they are quite heavy in price too. I paid 37p each and I normally only pay 3p or 5p for the others from the same shop so it's a bit of a difference in price, The other 2 I have used here were only 3p each! I only bought about 10 of the more expensive ones though just to try them and got loads of the cheapo ones lol. The charm is from my local bead shop, and lace from my stash.
I am hoping to have lots of crafting time this weekend and also to get time to visit everyones blogs to see what you have all been up too.

Something a bit different
The kids school is closed today so I have them all at home and they are playing nicely with each other for a change so I have had a bit of time to make a few cards. I can only show 1 just now though because the others are for DT work.
I went to Splitcoast Stampers again this morning and had a look through all the different projects for one I hadn't tried before. I have done most of them but I found a pocket card that I haven't tried before although I have done something similar in the past, but thought I would give it a go anyway. So here it is.
Oops just noticed I have cut a bit of the top out on this pic. Never mind the curve was wonky anyway so will have to fix it later and you can see it in the pic below anyway. I have been trying to use up my papers that I have had for ages. I got 70 12x12's off ebay a while back for £10 and although I liked most of them there was the odd few that I wasn't sure about and this is one of them. It's kind of growing on my though lol.
You can see the tutorial on Splitcoast so there's no point in me telling you the sizes and where to fold etc. I have used one of my new craft stamps from Janlynn. This is one called birthday presents is from their new range. I have coloured with copics and stuck it on the belly band. I didn't measure if it would fit first but it was exactly the right size :)
I used a Anna Griffin brass stencil that I have had for yonks to emboss a border around the band just so it wasn't too plain, and insted of using loads of embelishments like I normally do, I just done some faux stitching around the edges.
I kept the inside really simple but to the point. I decided that I woould make this into an invitation and just done the "Your Invited" on the computer. I used part of the presents stamp and also the Admit One ticket stamp which is also from the new range. I don't know if you can see the writing on it very clear here but it does show up well in real life. I just stamped it onto brown paper.
I think you could do a lot with this ticket stamp and I'm sure I will use it a lot. What would you use it for? Any ideas letme know and I might try it out :)
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are all having a fab Friday!

Digital Tuesday Challenge DT Card
Good morning, I hope you are all having a great start to the day.
It's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge and we have some fab digi's up for grabs for the winner. The challenge is tag your it. Use a tag on your card or project, easy as that. The only rules to our challenges are use a digital image, it can be from any company and I am sure you all have a stack of them so no excuses lol. Unless you lose them all like I did, but that could only happen to me!! Our sponsor this week is Tracey from Fred She Said and she is giving away digi flowers, flourishes and a beautiful image for you to colour.
For my card this week I done a double pocket card which I had seen in a magazine but I couldn't find the mag again to get the measurements or a refresher on how to fold it but I eventually managed thn the next morining I though Splitcoast Stampers! I was sure it would be on there and yep I was right. Would of saved me a whole lot of hassel if I went there first lol. Anyway it's done and I'm quite happy with how it's turned out. All the images I have used are from Fred She Said and you can win them all if you enter this weeks challenge! Aren't they just gorgeous?
Here's both of my tags. I have used the Emma with Butterfly image on one and the other I have printed a flourish straight onto the tag then layered up 2 flowers and a leaf and stuck a gem in the middle for a little bling.
I have used the Emma image on the holder but just cut round her in a circle and used just 12 flower with a gem. Some lace and a little dragonfly embelie I found in my stash.
I hope you will have time to join in with the challenge this week, not only can you win a fab prize but you will also make me a very happy girlie :)
I do have some other fab news today, I made the squigglefly design team!! I still can't believe it. I am going to have so much fun with all these digi's!!
I'm off to take the monsters to school and nursery, catch up with you all later.

Just Magnolia and a big thank you
It's another fab sketch this week at just Magnolia and as I didn't get to do last weeks challenge I was determined that I would get one made this week.
I used all my scraps for this card as I am running out of whole sheets of paper. Need a trip to the craft shop me thinks, and soon!
All of the papers are by Fancy Pants and I think they are both from the same collection. The pink piece I have stuck Tilda on is the back of the blue flower patterned paper. I just love double sided sheets, much easier than finding another paper to match lol.
Flowers are Prima Sweet and Sassy Cinderella and the rose bud is one I made out of ribbon myself ages ago, pearls are Kanban. I think the sentiment came on a sheet of sticker embelishments but I just found it at the bottom of a box on it's own so no idea who made it. Everything else is from my stash. Oh and of course Tilda, how could I forget her? She was sent to me by the lovely Bev.
Well that's the card, but before I go I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who sent me emails and left me lovely comments while I was ill. You guys are the best!!

I'm finally feeling better and made a card!
I am finally felling a lot better and have got back into cardmaking. I thought I was feeling better on Tuesday but it only lasted a few hours but I have felt okay most of the day today so made the most of it and got a card made. I did do another 2 but they are for design work so can't show them just yet.
This one is for the Cute Daisy May challenge which is a sketch this week. Anyone who visits me regularly will know that I love sketches so I had to join in.I didn't spend too much time on this card because I wanted to get it finished quickly incase I started to feel ill again.
I have used one of my Cute Daisy May downloads that I managed to salvage from my computer after it wiping nearly everything on it. I bought this one along with another 2 (well I bought 2 and Linnie gave me 1 free) and they were all in a folder on their own so I manged to keep these ones but the rest of them have vanished so I didn't have much choice of which sheet to use. I suppose that was good though because when I had lots of them I never knew which sheet to use lol.
I was going to just cut a square around the image but I wasn't paying attention and cut it really squint lol, so I just cut around it then realised I would never be able to cut around the balloon string and the dogs lead so I just cut them all out seprately and used some threads for the string and lead instead. I am quite glad I made a mistake cutting it because I like the look of the thread on it, gives it a little more detail :)
Recipe:
Papers: spotty black is Bo Bunny, red is Cosmo Cricket and the black embossed paper is handmade paper from Artymiss.
Image: Digital sheet from Cute Daisy May
Colouring: Copics
Embelishments: Prima flowers, black gems from Ebay appprox 50 for 45p!!
sentiment from a die cut sheet from Artymiss
Hope you are all having a great weekend. I am trying to catch up with everyone and come see what you have been up to but it may take a while to get round everyone!
Oh I almost forgot to say, I got an award from Linda the other day but haven't felt well enough to post it on here but it is in my sidebar. Thank you hun it does mean a lot ot me and I will post it properly as soon as I have caught up with everything and though about who I will pass it on to :)

Stamp with Fun and new Stamps Happen stamp
I'm feeling much better now and managed to get some of my digital images back YAY!! :) I have still lost the majority of them but at least I got some back because I stil had access to all my emails so got some of the ones that had been sent by email.
I made this card with the sketch from Stamp With Fun using one of my new craft stamps from Janlynn/Stamps Happen. This little fairy is not from their new range but she is gorgeous all the same. Her name is Sunshine and she is coloured yellow on the actual stamp for obvious reasons but me being me, I decided today she was going to be pink mainly because I don't have a nice lemon yellow copic and because I wanted to use these papers and this pinky colour worked better.
There is another little fairy just like her (you can see her on Janlynn's website, link above or in my sidebar) and I had a hard time choosing between them, so think I might just have to get her too lol.
I have left the sentiment out of the card because I have no idea what I am going to use it for.
Recipe:
Designer papers: K&Co Wild Raspberry collection (told you I loved em lol)
Image: Sunshine Fairy stamp at Janlynn
Colouring: Copics and icicle stickles for the wings
Embelishments: Flowers by Prima and an old flower from a bunch, gems from stash.
I'm so glad to be back blogging, I have missed you lot lol, so you will be hearing from me again very soon!

Digital Tuesday DT card
Sorry I haven't been blogging the last few days, I have been ill and haven't made any cards at all but I am feeling a lot better now.
I have had a huge computer disaster though!! I got a virus on my puter and I have lost everything on it!! All my digital images/stamps that I have bought and ones I got free, all my design team stuff, all my pictures and everything else!! I am totally gutted to say the least. I can get back some of the freebies but all my Digital Stamp Oasis stuff, the images I have bought from Dustin Pike, Cute Daisy May, etc and all stuff from sponsors, all gone :(
Anyway here is my DT card for this weeks Digital Tuesday Challenge. Carissa has set the challenge this week which is non-traditional folds or non-traditional shapes.
This is the card closed. I have used a tutorial that I found through Donnas blog (I will put on the proper link later when I have a little more time). I used digital images from My Grafico who is our sponsor this week (link inm my sidebar). I love this cute space set, it's so much fun. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore though :(
This is the card open. I thought it would be quite hard to make but it was really easy and I love the way it has turned out. The little astronauts are on paper springs which was my son's idea. It makes them look like they are floating :)
Just as well I could take these pics of the Digital Tuesday blog because I don't have the card anymore and my pics of it are gone too!
I hope you can join in with the challenge this week, would love to see some familiar faces there.
You can use any kind of digital image you like and I'm sure you all have a big collection you could use. That's it I'm not going to speak about anything digital for a long time, it's depressing me lol.
I do have some good news though! I told you last week that I had some news to tell but I couldn't say anything then, but now I can tell you one of things I am excited about. (you will have to wait a while to find out the rest)
Janlynn contacted me and asked if I would be one of a select few who would design cards/projects with their new range of Stamps Happen stamps! Of course I said yes and I already have my stamps waiting to be used :) So I will be back with a card later.
Untill then I am off to see if I can do anything about getting back some of my digi images!
recipe:
papers: Basic Grey
images: Space set from My Grafico
Coloured with copics and not an embelishment in sight!!
Edited to add. The tutorial for this card is on craftiblog.

I finally used a Hanglar image
I finally managed to get a card done today for Sketch Saturday. It's a great sketch this week and one that I really enjoyed. On my last trip to the Papeterie Chiara choose some K&Co papers. I tell you that kid has real good taste! I always use the papers my kids pick but when I choose ones myself they get left at the bottom of my paper box for months lol.
I was really brave and used one of my Hanglar images. I only had one of these so didn't want to use it! I suppose they are there to be used not to be looked at every now and then and put away in a box again.
I got some other cards done today but they are for DT work so I can't show them yet.
If you haven't been over to the Digital Tuesday Challenge this week, you just have to pop over and see all the girls cards, they have all done a great job. I can't wait for next weeks challenge, I know it's going to be a lot of fun :)
Well that's it from me for today, I have a few things to do since the kids are in bed. They settled sown last night about 10 minutes after I posted on here saying they wouldn't sleep lol. I still didn't get a card done though because I was so tired with all their fighting that I went to bed 5 minutes after them!! Oh the joys of being a Mother lol. It is all worthwhile though when they come and give you a big cuddle and say I love you Mum, it just melts my heart :) I love the 3 of them so much even though they do drive me up the wall sometimes, okay most of the time lol.
Better go get caught up with everything before i nod off myself.
Hugs Lora x
I got 2 lovely awards from Helen!! Thank you so much hun.
The awards come with the following; These blogs are exceedingly charming, these are the kind of bloggers who aim to find and become friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are proper gated, please give more attention to these writers.
I never know what to say when I get awards from people because I am always so surprised!
I have met so many lovely friends through blogging and there is so much people I could pass them on to but these are the 5 people I am going to pass it on to. If you are one of my regular visitors and you are not on the list, it is because I have gave you an award in the past and wanted to give to people I haven't passed one on too yet.
Donna from Indiana inking
Marjanne
Kyllimarjanna
Heather from Ricas Haven
Riet
These are all ladies who visit me regularly and leave the most wonderful comments. I appreciate every one of you taking the time to visit me :)
If you have never been to any of these blogs, you have to go visit them, they all have fab blogs!

A baby card for Friday Sketchers
Hope everyone is having a great day. I haven't done much today except run back and forth to the kids school. They moved to their new school yesterday because their old schools are getting knocked down. It's great because now all 3 kids are at the same school but it is much further away. Chiara is only at nursery for 2 and a half hours so by the time I drop her off in the morning with her brother and sister and get back home, it's just about time for me to leave again to pick her up. Then by the time we get back home and get Chiara her lunch it's almost time for me to leave again to pick the other 2 up. I can't wait till next year when they are all at school!
I did get time today to make a card for Friday Sketchers though :)
I have used one of the images I won in Tindaloos blog candy but I am not sure where it is from.
I decided to leave the little banner blank so I can personalise it later when I need to.
The colours on the image look much darker here, but the orange is more like the orange in the papers.
For all the layers at different angles I used papers from K&Co hopscotch mat stack and the swirls are punched from some of the scraps I had left over. The backing is baby checks by Paper Adventures.
The plain orange flower is from a Prima "bigger" bag and the others are Prima Sweet N Sassy Cinderella. I got them all from Aries Crafts online store. Flower gems and spacer are from my stash.
I am going to try get another challenge card done tonight but it's not looking likely. The kids are all still up when they should be fast asleep, well the youngest 2 should be at least, and they are all fighting with each other for the slightest thing because they are tired.
Hopefully they will nod off soon and I get get some peace and quiet to do some crafting.........

Sugar Bowl Challenge 10
I just had to join in with the challenge over at the Sugar Bowl , it's a great sketch by Marlene and you also have to use buttons somewhere on your card.
I used my chick a dee stamp which is obviously from Sugar Nellie as I only have 1 other Sugar Nellie girl which I have used a lot. I know she has a little chick in her hand and it is probably more suitable for Easter but she is so cute and who says she only has to be for Easter? I use some of my Christmas stamps throughout the rest of the year too lol
I got these delish papers at my last visit to the papeterie in Aberdeen. I bought them all in single 12x12 sheets as they don't do pack of them there :( but I think I have the whole Wild Raspberry collection now and I love every one of them!
I had a hard time finding flowers to go with this colours as most of my flowers are pink or pastel colours, but I remembered about a bag of Primas I bought from Aries Crafts a few weeks ago that I hadn't opened. It has loads of different colours and sizes in it so I eventually found some.
As for the button thing well that was a whole story in itself! I don't have much buttons. No idea why because I love using them but my local craft shop doesn't really sell them. Will have to go looking on the internet for some nice ones :)
I think my Daughters have been in about them because I couldn't find two the same!!
So my buttons are totally different from each other but I don't care. As Stef keeps telling me "that's art" lol.
Recipe:
Stamp: Sugar Nellie Chick a Dee
Papers: all from K&Co Wild Rasberry collection.
Embelishments: Prima flowers, brad, buttons, spacer and charm from stash. Swirl is a Cricut die cut
Hope you are all having a fab day

Whiff Of Joy Challenge Card
I made this card for the Whiff Of Joy Challenge this afternoon but couldn't get it posted because my computer totally crashed on me !! I used Barry's computer earlier to do some blog hopping but it's just not the same lol. But Barry fixed it for me so I have my own one back now, yay. It's handy to live with a computer repair man lol.
I'm not happy with this card at all. I ran out of double sided tape and had to use glue which dried all weird (I hate glue by the way), and the sentiment is on a completely different colour paper than the image. I normally stamp my image and the sentiment on the same piece of paper/card but Lorraine sent me this image so obviously I couldn't do that and it wasn't until after I stuck it down I realised so I have posted it anyway but I will change it later. That's if it doesn't end up in the bin before then (I will save the image first though!)
I've had a real boring day today, nothing to tell you at all, but I do have some news that I will be telling you in a few days hopefully (got to check if it's okay to tell everyone first). I've been dying to say something, I'm so rubbish at keeping my mouth shut lol, even my fingers are twitching to tell you! maybe some of you will be able to guess what it is?
I'm off to visit some of your blogs since I have my own computer back :) Oh and while I remember my Son Liam has just posted his first card on his blog. He has just started cardmaking and was really nervous about showing you all his cards (he's only 11).
If you have a minute please pop over and welcome him to blog land, it would make his day :)

Mirror Mirror at Cute Card Thursday
I'm doing good today, it's my 4th post!!
Another challenge card for Cute Card Thursday. I have been trying to get this done all week, so finally sat down when the kids were in bed and made it.
I'm not very keen on mirror card especially photographing it as it always turns out all weird on me but I found a piece of holographic butterfly card and used it behind my image as a mat, although you can't even see the butterflies on it so I would of been as well with plain mirror card!
I have a pile of designer paper scraps that are too big to be thrown in the bin (mind you I would say that about the tiniest piece lol, can't bear to throw them out!), so thought I should try use some of them up for this card. The image was from my blog candy win. I got some great images in that lot but I can't bring myself to use them lol. There is a few Hanglar images that I just love but only have 1 of each and don't want to use them . How sad am I?
But I was brave and have started to use them up or else I would be using the stamps I have over and over again. Might get a bit boring seeing the same images on my blog all the time eh?
I am still scanning my cards untill I get another new camera, so my charm is a bit wonky because I couldn't hold it in place. You can imagine what it looks like straight though lol
Well that me for tonight. I'm off to bed and will see you all in the morning. Well not see you but your blogs :)
Recipe:
papers: Magenta and Basic Grey from two scoops, butterfly holographic card
image: from blog candy win
embelishments: Prima flowers, spacers and charm from ebay, ribbon from my stash.
Tools: cuttlebug, small classic scalloped circle nesties

The gift of love award
I got this lovely award today from Lorraine!! Every time I get an award I have to think so hard who to give it to because I have made so many friends since I started blogging. The past couple of times I have just asked everyone to take it who hasn't got that one but this time I am going to follow the rules and pass it on to 5 people.
Lorraine if it wasn't you who gave me it you would be on this list too, but I don't think you want me to send it back to you lol.
So the 5 people are
Stef (glitterbabe) who always leaves me lovely comments and really makes me laugh.
Bev (all the things I love) who has gave me so much advice and encouragement since I started blogging
Susie (sassy designs by susie) who also leaves me lovely comments.
Ellephantastic cards& crafts who has been visitng my blog for a few weeks and always leaves me nice comments.
And finally my little boy Liam (liam's crafty spot) who I am so proud of :) He has just started his own blog but hasn't posted any cards yet as he's at his Gran's while he is off school, but he will get his first card posted when he comes home tomorrow! I couldn't think of anyone better to give this award to. Love you babes xx
I hope you all love this award as much as I do! Thank you again Lorraine, you have made my day hun :)

Chiara and Mummy do Cute Daisy May
I'm back with another challenge card which I actually made last night but blogger wouldn't let me upload it!! Was nearly an hour to get my post this morning uploaded! If it wasn't a DT card I would of gave up!
Anyway I have missed a few of the Daisy May challenges, so I really wanted to get one done this week. I did do one last week but the challenge was gems and because I use gems a lot, I combined it with another challenge. So this one is especially for Cute Daisy May lol.
My youngest Daughter Chiara who is 4 helped me with this card. So obviously it had to be orange because it's her favourite colour but I tried to tone it down a bit so you didn't need shades to look at it!
I followed the sketch at Cute Daisy May but Chiara had to add flowers and swirls because she loves using my swirl punch as it's huge so I let her use her feet to push it down. Of course we went a bit overboard but that's what she wanted so I just went along with it. I'm quite impressed though, she knew exactly where she wanted the flowers and placed the swirls on too without it looking too bad lol.
The spotty paper was a piece I had left over but can't remember where it came from. The other side of it was the green I have used on the middle strip and the swirls. I know the orange paper is the reverse side of a Cosmo Cricket paper though :)
Flowers are Prima and spacers from ebay. Sentiment is from a Christmas See-d's set and of course I coloured with my copics.
I'm off now for a bit of bloghopping while the girls are watching the telly and I have some peace. Don't know how long that will last though!

Digital Tuesday challenge 5
Good morning everyone, hope you are all having a great start to your day :)
It's time for this weeks Digital Tuesday Challenege and todays challenge is Teacher Appreciation.
You can make a card or whatever else you fancy as long as it's has a digital image on it. Doesn't have to be a Digital Stamp Oasis image, it can be whatever you like but DSO have just released new images and 2 of them are perfect for this challenge. I had a hard time choosing which one to use!
Here's my card which I have used one of the new images on.
Don't ask what is going on here, I have no idea where this came from lol.
I had an idea in my head that I would use some school themed papers but of course my Darling Daughter just had to make her own card with them for her teacher, so back to the drawing board! I then thought I would use a page out of a dictionary with the meaning of the word school or teacher showing but of course I couldn't find a dictionary because we had packed all the books away for decorating and haven't bothered to take them back out of storage, Typical !! But then I remembered about some lovely journaling papers I got in the candy I won on Tindaloos blog last month. Thought it might look like a page from a school book? they are very small so had to go looking for something else to use with it so had another look and this is what I came up with. I did use all the Prima flowers I have used on the top flower (the one that looks vintage and has printing on, don't know their real name), but thought it looked a bit dull, so just kept one and swapped the rest for some green ones to tie in with the image.
Wow what a lot of dribble just to tell you how I came up with this card. I bet none of you even care anyway lol.
Anyway not my usual style but I do like vintage kind of stuff, just don't do it very well. I think next week is back to my normal cute (well I know it is because I have already done my card lol)
Hope you can join us this week, and be sure to check out the other girls cards on the challenge blog. They have all done a fab job again. There is 12 of us on the DT so loads of inspiration for you :)
I will be back with another card later but untill then see ya

Anya does Cutie Sunday
Managed to get another challenge card done tonight. this one is for Cutie Sunday .
The sketch is a simple one but so much you could do with it. I just stuck with the sketch the way it was this time.
I got the gorgeous image from Susie a few weeks ago and thought it was about time I used her. She also gave me the die cut matting shape I have used too. Susie has loads of gorgeous die-cuts in her shop including different kinds of matting shapes. (link to her shop in my sidebar)
Instead of using the usual Primas, I used these beautiful flowers which are from a Fred She Said digi set. I really like the effect you get with these and doesn't it make a lovely change from the norm? I coloured these by hand but I was going to play about colouring them in photoshop except my photoshop program didn't wan't to open for me, grrrr. After colouring them I cut down between each petal and gently folded them in half so they had more dimention. I also curved the leaves although you probably can't see that too well here, but IRL they look lovely.
Recipe:
designer paper: fancy pants, double sided (I used both sides)
Images: Anya from Susie, digi flowers and leaves from Fred She Said
Colouring: Copics
embelishments: papermania brads because it's the only ones I can find! Kanban pearls, charm from ebay, spacers from Holburn Crafts in Aberdeen, chipboard sweet sentiment thing from stash.
That's it from me for tonight. I'm off to my bed for a long snooze. Might even get a long lie because it's a holiday Monday tomorrow and kids are off school. I doubt that but I can dream can't I? and that's exactly what I am away to do.
Nite Nite

Daring Cardmakers, Create for Fun and a pig.
I finally found a use for my Sugar Nellie piggy that I have been dying to use since I bought it ages ago. The challenge at Daring Cardmakers this week is Old Macdonald's Farm so my little Porridge the Pig was perfect for this challenge. I also used the sketch at Create 4 fun. This is the first time I have joined in with this challenge. It is a simple sketch but I flipped it on it's side so that my image would fit better. Normally when I flip a sketch it turns out rubbish and I start again with the sketch the right way round, but because this was a simple sketch , it didn't confuse me lol, and it turned out okay.
I have had this striped paper in my stash for ages but couldn't find anything to match it, but today I was going through all my papers and found part of a K&Co matstack which had the green spotty paper on the reverse of one of the sheets and thought oh I know what that will go with. The flowers look really bright here, they are quite bright but not as bright as it shows here.
I don't know what this card will be for and I couldn't find a sentiment stamp to fit in the scalloped circle so I just done one in word. I thought it would be fun to write some of the words of Old Macdonald to fit in with the challenge.
I also couldn't find brads to match as my darling little Daughter Rhianna or monster might be more appropriate today lol, decided that she would take most of my brads and tip them all out!
Not so bad because I could just pick them up right? No wrong the little madam has hid them all and say's she can't remember where!! So I am left with a handfull of brads until I find them!
I had some of those pearl brads by papermania that I was moaning about the other week because all the pearls had fell, so I just stuck a green gem on it and hey presto a co-ordinating brad :)
Recipe:
Designer papers: S.E.I Hippy chick and K&Co hopscoth mat stack
Stamp: Sugar Nellie Porridge
Colouring: Copics
Embelishments: Prima flowers, brad base from Papermania and gems from my stash, ribbon from stash.
Sentiment: Computer generated in word and cut with small classic scalloped circle Nestabilities.

Dustin's Monkey meets Sketch Saturday
I bought these great images from Dustin (link in my sidebar) the other day and just couldn't wait to use them. I just love these cheeky monkeys! I have followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and also decorated the inside so I could use the second image too.
I am fast becomimg a huge fan of Dustin Pike's work and I love working with his images, they are great to colour and can be used for lots of different occasions.
I wanted to use some bright fun papers with this images because the images themselves are so much fun and I think they go great with bold colours. I have had the stripy Basic Grey paper for ages but have never been brave enough to use it so I thought I would just go for it today. I have followed the sketch just as it is on the front of the card except cut my image out instead of using a circle.
I have showed all of the inside of the card because I decorated all 4 sides but didn't take a pic of the back because it's just plain. I haven't really followed the sketch through to the inside but i have used some of the same elements to tie it all together, like the same papers and the flower arrangment. I didn't want to make it too fussy because I think these images should be the main focus so I just used a couple of flowers on the inside and stamped a swirl just so it wasn't really plain.
I think I will have to make a few more cards with these images. I have so much ideas for them :)
Recipe:
Designer papers: Basic Grey Lollypop shoppe (fruit punch), Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie
Stamps: Dustin Pike Digital Images, Inkadinkadoo swirl from the Gem Stone Jewels set
Colouring: Copics, inkksentials pen for highlights
Embelishments: Prima flowers, gems, tiny flower embelishments and ribbon from stash.
Hope you are all having a fab Saturday.

Just Magnolia challenge card
I am loving the Just Magnolia challenges and this week is no exception. Bev has done a brilliant sketch for us to follow and I think it will be one that I will use often.
I have gone for pink and black for this one and I quite like the way it has turned out.
Don't you just love this Tilda? They are just a joy to colour. I have to get some of these stamps because this is one of the challenges I enjoy most at the moment. Bev was kind enough to stamp me up some Magnolia images so I could join in with the challenges as I don't own any yet, how great is she? She's not only a fab card maker but also takes the time to help out others with her knowledge and kindness and believe me she has helped me out so much since I started my blog, not just by giving me images but giving me loads of advice too. So Bev hun, this card is dedicated to you! Sound like I'm at an award ceremony lol, but you know what I mean ;P
Maybe some of us could do an image swap sometime? Anybody interested, let me know and we can arrange something. I don't have much stamps but might have something you want :)
Right on to the card. I don't have any oval nesties yet so cut the oval and the scallop around it by hand and the same with the scalloped border on the middle strip. I'm not sure who makes the striped paper but I got it from the lovely Stef for my birthday :) Thanks hun x
That's it from me for a bit but I will be back later because I just bought 10 new Dustin Pike images so have to make some cards with them!
Oh before I go, just want to say another congrats to Lorraine (Coldwaters) for winning my followers candy :) I can't believe how happy she was when she found out she had won lol. It feels so good to give stuff away, especially when it's to someone as brill as Lorraine who is always so gratefull for even the smallest of things. I must have another giveaway soon for all you lovey bloggy buddies :)
Hugs Lora

It feels so good to give stuff away, especially when it's to someone as brill as Lorraine who is always so gratefull for even the smallest of things. I must have another giveaway soon for all you lovey bloggy buddies :)

Winner of Followers Surprise candy!!
Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday so far! Now remember I said I was going to pick someone randomly from my followers who has left a comment from last week up until the day I choose a winner? Well today is that day!
Now I can tell you what I am giving away but my camera is on the blink so I can't take a pic grrr.
It's just a little something to say thank you for your support but here's what the winner will get.
10 metres of blue fancy yarn
pack of shoe embelishments
pack of hat embelishments
Cardology ribbon and embelishment pack (embelishments are seqiuns shapes, beads, gems etc)
sheet clear heart stickers
sheet sentiment stickers
few tags (store bought)
5 large handbag toppers (these are huge toppers)
Pack of 20 designer brads (heart frames)
pack of 120 stick on gems (clear assorted sizes)
And a stack of 3 small embossing powders (red tones)
Right I suppose you want to know who has won this lot then? I wrote down the name of everyone who has left me a comment from when my blog candy finished until this morning and checked who out of these people were on my followers list then got Barry to choose a name out of a hat (well a tub actually lol), and that name was Coldwaters2!! Congratulations Lorraine!
Please send me your snail mail address and I will get this lot posted to you. (if I hear from you soon, I will post today, otherwise it will have to be Tuesday because of the Monday holiday)
I will be back later with a card. Sorry I could only give 1 person a prize, I wish I had enough to give all my followers and especially the lovely people who visit me often and leave me lovely comments.
Hugs Lora x
